I really liked Brookdale Hartwell. The staff was wonderful. The rooms were fine, just a little smaller than what I would've liked. Everything was nice and clean. It's a cheerful place. They have people who come in and play the piano and sing, they have an area where they gather, watch TV together, play cards, and do different activities. They even have a library. All they had available was a one-bedroom with a bath.

My mother lives in Hartwell. Though she is not quite ready to make a move to assisted living, the directors at Brookdale have been caring and helpful. While discussing mom's CURREENT needs with them the subject of home care came up. Kathy informed me that Brookdale does not offer home care services BUT did not hesitate to share resources and ideas that will allow mom to stay in her home as long as possible.I was given a tour of the facility which was impressive. The residents seemed genuinely happy and the common spaces were cheerful and clean.I have not looked at many assisted living facilities BUT I would say that this is one I would definitely consider.....for my mom OR myself 🙂

I visit persons in this facility several times a month. Never once have I detected a urine smell or any other unpleasant odor. The rooms are ample size, clean and the common areas are well-maintained, clean and inviting. The residents I visit are very content with their care and surroundings. Everyone on the staff is friendly, willing to answer questions and genuinely concerned with the health and well-being of the residents. When considering a place for a family member, this is the only place we would consider.

Emeritus was the last people that I talked with. They were very helpful. We never did get any further than talking at the front desk. They did take my mother back and let her meet and mingle a little bit. It kind of frightened her, and she was ready to go. She's very smart and may have felt that we would leave her there. Other people that have been there said that they were giving good comments about it. It smelled good, and it had a clean feeling. I liked the staff and the outside appearance. It didn't look like a nursing facility. I felt we were more in a resort than a nursing facility.

I would say that the staff were very friendly and willing to answer any questions we have when we visited Emeritus at Lake Pointe. The facility itself seemed very clean and organized. They had everything in house that you would need like getting your hair wash; they have a doctor that came in once a week or once every other week just to check the patients. They have a van that takes folks to the grocery store or shopping. They also have activities, not my mom could do much of them, but they do have some to offer. The setting was really nice and very convenient for us to get to it.

Everybody was very friendly, very concerned, and informative at Emeritus. I learned more visiting them than anything else. The rooms are spacious with handicapped accessible bathrooms. The dining area was beautiful. Everything looked quite clean and sanitary. It didnt give the expression of being brand new, but it wasnt run down at all.

We moved my father into Emeritus. I moved him to the closest one to me. I could go see him when I wanted to. He stayed there for about six weeks. He went downhill and passed away from then. They were good to my father but it didn't work out because he was just too far into the dementia. They tried to do everything they could for him. I have nothing bad to say about them. The rooms were small but efficient, nice and kept clean. All the people there were very nice, too.

My uncle is in Emeritus, an assisted living facility in Hartwell, GA. Our family was very pleased with both the building and the services. The place was clean and they have very spacious rooms.
