When we began looking at independent living locations to be our new home, my wife's sister, who lives in a residential home in Hamilton Mill, told us that several of her friends had family members who lived at Arbor Terrace at Hamilton Mill and they all recommended it highly. Based on that, we made an appointment to see for ourselves. When we arrived, we found the area to be beautifully landscaped. Once inside, we found the building to be very fresh, clean, and well maintained. The staff members we met were friendly, courteous, and really seemed to care about the welfare of all the residents. As we toured the facility, we learned about the many recreation, education, and entertainment activities provided throughout each day. While on the tour, we were approached by several residents. They recognized us as prospective residents and took the time to stop and say hello. One even answered questions we had. I would say we hadn't been at Arbor Terrace for more than a half an hour when my wife and I looked at each other and said, "This is it." We have live at Arbor Terrace for four months now and firmly believe we made the right decision. We love living here.

I toured this place as potential placement for my one of my patients. I will say...this place is lovely! I want to go there when I retire too now. The facility is very clean and I spoke with some of their Residents, and they all seem happy. One thing that amazed me was that they delegate Residents to help new Residents or even visitors, with questions or anything. Also, they have an indoor pool!

My aunt is staying here in the hospice section, and the staff has done a very well job at making things comfortable not only for her, but for us as guests as well. When we came to visit, the facility was clean and well kept, the other patients here seen to be happy and enjoying their time here, playing games and socializing. My first contact was a surprising return call in the evening to set up a meeting time for the next day. Upon arrival, I was impressed by the welcome of the residents. As I spoke with Penny Quale, she took notes and really listened to my needs for my parents. And her suggestions for options were an immediate reflection that not only did she hear me, she understood our unique situation. She had suggestions and options. We toured and every single resident introduced themselves and asked if I was moving in. I explained it would be my parents and they asked where they were coming from and when would they meet them. Residents freely told me how much they love Arbor Terrace and it is the best decision they made. It was such a relief and different than my other visits to other options. Everything was clearly explained, material provided and than emailed to me so that I could send everything online to my parents in Pennsylvania. Any question, if they did not know, it was asked and I was informed. And more residents told me how they loved living here. We were able to visit multiple times, view a variety of options multiple times. We were so indecisive. And when my dad finally came to visit, he received the same warm welcome. Residents introduced themselves and asked where he would be living. He felt so good seeing the Aldi in walking distance and all that Arbor Terrace had to offer. He was particularly happy that the exercise classes were more his speed and length than the gym I had been taking him to for Silver Sneakers. He could tell it was a home to all the residents and all the residents considered one another family. I am so grateful for the flexibility of the staff and how they continue to answer every question we ask multiple times. And the transition coordinator has been over and beyond helpful. As I told my parents, I am so relieved that they will be comfortable and I will not have to worry about them living on their own.

Recently, I had the pleasure of touring Arbor Terrace Hamilton Mill with Senior Care Advisor, Ms. Penny Quale. She, and all of the staff, received me with a very warm and friendly welcome, my questions and concerns were addressed in great detail, I was given lots of time, and learned so much about something that was truly overwhelming. Understanding the level of personal care designed for each resident and how different levels of dementia are addressed was particularly insightful. I enjoyed seeing residents who looked happy, involved in activities, and sharing companionship with one another. The overall atmosphere at Arbor Terrace was happy, open and bright. It gives me great comfort to know that my loved ones could live in a place where they are safe, treated with dignity, respect and excellent personal care.

I moved my mom from independent living to assisted living due to failing health. The move was flawless. The staff worked tireless to make this transition easy on my mom. After talking with Lawton Costello he helped me make the decision to move her. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Sharon Elsberry made the move happen in record time. She helped explain every detail and helped with the paper work and setting up the move. Donna Toro treated mom with respect and kindness during the assessment to determine what type of care she would need. Barbara Kobe was a God send in every way helping every step of the way. Worked tirelessly in record time to help with the move. Van Barnett worked tirelessly and very happy and energetic to attend to every detail from hanging TVs, setting up cable, pictures, draperies, and so much more to make the apartment home. I recently took a friend to Arbor Terrace to tour the Independent Living apartments. The staff was wonderfully helpful (especially Lawton Costello, who took time to show us ALL of the availability!), and the residents that we connected with while we were there were lovely and very welcoming. They had nothing but praise for Arbor Terrace apartments and staff. The apartments are well-appointed and cozy and the amenities are fabulous. They even have a hair salon on site! My mom has lived at Hamilton Mill Arbor Terrace Independent Living since early 2018. It was a beautiful property when we previewed it under construction in Dec2017. It was move in ready by her move in date in Feb2018. 3 years later it is as beautiful as it was on Moms move in day. The love AT gives the property they also pour into their residents and extended families. I cannot imagine Mom living anywhere else. The team is trained in senior care. They are a great resource for families. They are readily available for onsite meeting or for a quick call or email. They have access to resources to provide additional help when needed. The transportation available for trips to docs appts and general errands has been a lifesaver. The staff feels more like family. Several staff members and residents have been there since Mom moved in. It is nice to walk in to a cheerful hello from a familiar face. Most importantly, Mom has made great friends in the community. She has daily interaction with others to keep her active and engaged. The dining room is a beautiful and a happy gathering place. In addition, there are many great outdoor spaces to enjoy when the weather is good. Many daily activities are offered. I cannot say enough good things about ATHMs management of the Covid lockdown. Resident safety was their number one priority. At ATHM, Mom was in the safest place possible during that time. I am beyond grateful for the love and compassion that this community has shown my mom and extended to me over the years.

I first experienced Arbor Terrace communities in Knoxville where they were active in dementia care education for caregivers. When my husband and I were thinking of moving to Dacula, Georgia, I immediately sought a tour with the independent living side of Arbor Terrace Hamilton Mill. The facilities are wonderful, but that is not the only consideration when moving into senior living. The staff and the residents were involved with each other. We were paired with a couple who lived there, and were free to talk with any and all residents (socially distanced, of course). We didnt hear any negative comments. We enjoyed our meal and our time walking the grounds of the community. The COVID precautions were excellent. Sadly, we decided not to move to Dacula, Georgia right now, but if we did, I would move into Arbor Terrace Hamilton Mill. I think the company is a gem in the world of senior living communities.

I have worked at several assisted living and never have had a clinical team, housekeeping, engagement or maintenance like Arbor Terrace Hamilton Mill. The staff are attentive to each resident. The care is beyond any I have seen in other places and the number of care staff on the floor at one time is way more than the state requires and most assisted living have at one time. They offer an impeccable activity staff who are with the residents 7 days a week and in each of our neighborhoods. When looking for a place for your loved one, come in and tour this community. You will be made to feel right at home.

My Mom has resided at Arbor Terrace Hamilton Mill Independent Living for 3 years. It was a huge decision but has been a great move for my Mom; initially, when we moved my Mom in, I too lived with her for 4 months to ensure her transition was as easy as possible....I enjoyed my time there and would gladly become a resident in the future. My Mom has made many good friends, she has a lovely apartment and a great safe place that me and my siblings feel good about. The entire staff is wonderful, very caring, thoughtful and concerned about the welfare of every resident and their families. The management team is responsive to our questions and address any concerns in a timely and thoughtful manner. Especially during COVID, AT has done an exceptional job of managing COVID and keeping the residents safe; and, providing regular communication updates to residents and their families.

My Mom has been a resident of Arbor Terrace Hamilton Mill, Independent Living since June of 2019. We could not ask for a nicer place for her to live closer to us! The staff at Arbor Terrace is what truly puts this facility above so many others. I visit often, and I come into contact with staff members from all departments - executive, engagement, hospitality, dining, housekeeping, maintenance, and even the therapists on site. I am always greeted warmly, and each person is always willing to help and answer any questions I might have. After almost two years, I know most all of the staff personally, and I consider them extended family members helping to care for my dear Mom. Mom is thriving at Arbor Terrace. She has made so many wonderful friends, and her days are filled with activities which keep her spiritually nurtured and activity engaged. There is never a lack of activities in which she can participate, and I am delighted to see that they are adding some new educational opportunities and technology training to meet the needs and interests of the residents. When my Dad passed away, the entire community, literally and physically, wrapped their arms around Mom, and helped her work through the devastating loss. No review would be complete without mentioning the decor, the cheeriness, and cleanliness of the facility. Seniors need bright, sophisticated surroundings and Arbor Terrace wiIl not disappoint. Every area - the pool, the gym, the dining room, the salon, the bistro, the game room and the theater are tastefully and appropriately decorated. We visited several facilities in the area before we moved my parents from out of state, and none met as many of our needs as Arbor Terrace did. I have never regretted our decision for one day! My mom was able to visit Arbor Terrace in Dacula for a week to see if she would feel comfortable living there. I was so happy to hear about the number of friends she made so quickly and all the positive things she had to say about her experience there. She thoroughly enjoyed herself and said she felt as if she were on vacation. She is very excited about moving in and being able to see friends every day, no longer having to worry about house maintenance and home-owner responsibilities, and knowing that she is being well cared for.
