My mother has been at The Orchard at Brookhaven for over two years now. We relocated her from another facility as her memory continued to decline and we didnt feel like her prior location was able to service her needs. While she has spent the last two years at The Orchard , she has had three different levels of care . Currently she is receiving the highest level of care as her needs have increased. The best decision we have made regarding her care was the relocation. The staff is great from the top down. It is a very trying position taking care of the memory impaired , but they seem to handle it with grace and compassion. Most every person I have come in contact with has done a great job with my mom and shows her the attention that she deserves. I would recommend The Orchard to anyone that has a loved one that requires memory care of any type as they are able to handle it all.

He was completely disinterested in the activities, no matter how hard we tried to involve him, but the calendar had so much live music and activity. I would recommend Orchard as a good community, particularly for folks with some memory loss.

I began to see and understand at a very sensory level what a dementia person wrestles with. I am much more equipped to be able to care for my brother, because of the many many scenarios she shared. I can care for him not just with compassion but with understanding of how to meet him where he is. I am so thankful for the experience and her wisdom. It was truly enlightening! The Tour really opened my eyes into what both care givers and this with Dementia may go through. I can see how going though the Tour can result in more empathetic care. When you walk down the hallway everybody is smiling, the staff and residents. The residents have endless activities and mom loves the food. The smile on my father's face says everything about Orchard. He has become a new person here, because the staff does such an amazing job. He pulls us aside at our visits and tells us about how much he enjoys his time here. No joke. Dementia care is so hard and so difficult. After some negative experiences at other places, Orchard changed everything for my father. This place was quite literally designed to support those suffering with dementia. The move in was efficient and the process was great. Ginger and Lori are amazing. The residents are from all over and form a friendly and supportive community. Cannot say enough positive things. After a lot of research and many facility tours, I finally found Orchard. The staff here is in a league of their own when it comes to dementia care. My mom has thrived at Orchard with many residents around her (younger) age, activities she's excited to participate in, and staff members who care about her and do everything they can to best meet the needs of each resident. Yes they have your standard Bingo and Bible study, but they also make time for temporary tattoos and water balloons on special occasions! My mom is happy and healthy and I am so grateful to Orchard for providing me with the peace of mind that she is in the best possible place.

My father needed a safe place to live where they were kind caring and attentive. He needs something in between memory care and independent senior living and some days are better than others as far as his memory. The Orchard couldn’t be more spot on for my Dad! He loves it there and he’s living a life I could never have imagined that he would live! From Happy-Hours to live music to a gorgeous dining room, this place is like a ritzy college campus for seniors. I’m only 42 years old but I’m ready to sign a lease to get in here as soon as I’m old enough and they let me in I’m SO happy we found this place! I feel at peace knowing my dad is in an amazing place and having so much fun!

I cannot say enough great things about Orchard and their team. Both of my parents were residents there. My mother had late-stage Alzheimer's when we moved them in. Before coming to Orchard, my mother was withdrawn and aloof, but not long after moving in, she was smiling and participating in activities. She lost her battle with Alzheimer's, but I am positive her quality of life, and at least a few good extra months, were added to her life from being a part of the Orchard family. In her final week, various staff members came by individually to share their condolences and their favorite memories of my mother, which we appreciated tremendously. It showed us how much the staffed cared and how much a part of our family they felt like. I highly recommend Orchard to anyone looking for a care facility that truly treats your family like one of their own.

No question in my mind that Orchard at Brookhaven is the best run assisted senior living residence in Atlanta, if not all of Georgia. (maybe beyond?) Privately owned vs part of local or nationwide chain, therefore the attention to all matters is immediate. During my father’s time in Atlanta, he lived in three different facilities. Our experience btw the three put Orchard multiple rings up the ladder above the others, in regard to mgmt, caregiving, attention to concerns, cleanliness, activities and food service quality. You may find it more expensive than many of the chains who might offer significant discounts, but as the old adage goes, you pay for quality. The property is brand new. A four-star hotel level atmosphere and experience. All this said, the biggest challenge with senior care will always be the facility’s ability to employ and hold onto quality caregivers. Orchard appears to have chosen and treated their caregivers well, with staff and team members who have remained with the owner for years, following him from his previous property.

We moved my mother here two months ago from an assisted living home in Florida where she was doing nothing but sleeping all the time, losing weight and being depressed. Since coming here she has become a new person! She goes to activities every day - I know because they send me a daily email with the activities she attended. They go out to events like Callaway Gardens and Cirque de Soleil - and she has made friends she enjoys going with. They have amazing, caring employees; it’s clean and attractive; and it feels like a real home not a facility. Well done!

I cannot say enough positive things about the Orchard at Brookhaven, its management, staff, or ownership. My father was one of the first residents when the Orchard at Brookhaven opened, and it has been a pleasure since before he even moved in. The Orchard at Brookhaven is the perfect balance of plentiful amenities, high-quality care, attentive staff with manageable workloads, and location: close to Buckhead and other parts of town but removed from the traffic chaos of other in-town options. The Orchard at Brookhaven is the fourth assisted living facility for my father in the last three years, and there is simply no comparison “ they are head and shoulders above any other location in the Atlanta area in every aspect: quality of care, amenities, staff capabilities, etc. It gives us great comfort that the Orchard at Brookhaven’s ownership is also fully-invested in the health and happiness of its residents “ we are often greeted by him on arrival. We are also always welcomed by management and staff and made to feel like a larger family, which has been invaluable during this highly emotional process. We decided on the Orchard after a comprehensive review of all facilities in the area, with the assistance of an independent advisor we hired to help our family with the transition, and for that reason I feel like I can speak knowledgeably about other options in Atlanta. While some facilities look amazing, they are actually terrible in terms of the care provided. Others provide acceptable levels of care but are either located inconveniently or the facility itself is rundown and dilapidated. None of the facilities we experienced previously were effectively managed and constantly treated my father and our family as mere inconveniences to their operations. I have not had a single second thought about my father’s living situation since the day he moved into the Orchard at Brookhaven. It brings tears to my eyes to put into words the peace of mind they have provided for our family and the happiness they have brought to my father at this stage of his life.

I could write a polemic about the state of assisted livings in Atlanta/the US. My father had been in many assisted livings until he moved into Orchard. Orchard has the best oversight and committed leadership team which I have seen in the industry and this makes them operate on another level of care. It is the only place I would recommend in Atlanta. In addition to the care and responsiveness they are genuinely warm and caring people and are reachable any time. They work well as one team. You /your loved one will not be mere residents, you will be part of a caring family.

This is a brand new community that is beautifully appointed with all the amenities of resort style living. The backyard boasts lovely landscaping, a vintage red car, fountains, putting green, and giant chessboard. I met the director and several key staff and all of them were exceptional. The owner is personally involved and really takes pride in providing quality care. I have provided 24 hour care for my mom for 2 years because I could not find a community that I felt could take care of her they way I want her taken care of.
