I moved mama to Dogwood Forest of Dunwoody 6 months ago and have grown weary from composing emails and meeting with management. Their failure to take ownership and be accountable for problems is disheartening. Mama had COVID-19 twice since December and seems to have lingering cardiovascular complications. I pray things get better really soon.

I have been working with Holbrook Life for the last few months. What has been most remarkable to me is the fact that the Judeo-Christian values they espouse during orientation is the way they practice day to day. Dogwood Forest of Dunwoody is one of their original Communities and like any asset, requires continual updating and renovating. Holbrook Life is committed to that objective and the result is a classic presentation with ongoing improvements resulting in a gracious southern lifestyle. The COVID experience has been highly supported by the Home Office with a talented group that has expertly guided the Community with expertise, and the readiness to answer questions and provide resources as needed. That has contributed to the Community having no positive cases with our Residents...an accomplishment of which we feel proud and blessed. The spirit of the Company is felt by our Residents, Families and Associates. We are told regularly by our Guests and their Children how appreciative they are of the care they receive, the activities they are availed of and the Home in which they live. Our Associates are the backbone of the Community and we are blessed with some of the best! I have and will continue to recommend Dogwood Forest of Dunwoody and Holbrook Life. They live their philosophy of making the Community a pleasure to work and live in. It is truly a place to be called Home.

I became a part of the team at this Community back in February 2020 and I feel truly blessed to be a part of something that is so special and intentional with the way they choose to run the Community and the Company, as a whole. They understand the importance of creating an environment that is centered around our Residents and their families and staying true to providing a home with the utmost regard to the health, safety and genuine care to all that visit or choose to make it home. Dyan Burnstein was absolutely wonderful! On our search for a memory care facility for our mother, Dyan stood out because she genuinely cared, and made us feel like family. I just wanted to say how much I appreciate what Latoya and her team have done to make my mothers stay pleasant and safe . Their kind nature and willingness to help are an impressive thing to observe over the last two years. Now, we have to deal with the uncertainty of moving Mom closer to her daughter that has her health care power of attorney. We understand that any change is difficult for a woman in her 90s, but it is starting to look like her health issues are going to be more frequent . Were looking for an assisted living facility closer to her son and found Dogwood Forest. Beautiful, serene interior, much like an apartment complex or a hotel. All of the people were wonderful. Were delighted to discover it is a faith-based facility. The food was terrific. And then finding a room that was big enough with a beautiful view, close to elevators and dining room...well, that sealed the deal. Were moving in and the whole family is very happy.

We are in the assessment stage with my Mom at this point and hopefully will move my mother in shortly to Dogwood. Everyone at Dogwood have been incredibly helpful. The staff seem to be very caring and this is why we are choosing Dogwood over other assisted living facilities.

Our Mother was in Respite Care at Dogwood Forest following surgery after a fall. My sisters and I were pleased with the care Mom received at this small and caring facility. In our experience , our Mother was able to recover quicker with the personal care she received. We would like to thank all staff for making Moms experience positive. In Moms own words its just so warm and cozy here. Mom has now returned to independent living.

Everyone is very nice the staff is GREAT. I have helped two families move in with my company. I have experienced watching the staff, treat the residents like family. This lady name Latoya offered myself and my movers water, and she continued to check on us during the entire move. This is a place I would Love to bring my parents.

My Dad has been a resident of the Dogwood Forest of Dunwoody for 3 years. The facility is a nice size with a lovely garden. The staff is caring and treat the residents like their own family. There was major turnover in staff last year and now have a steady group of dedicated employees.

For me as an employee, this means that I get the support I need from the home office to provide our residents with what is needed to give quality care with compassion. My great aunt-in-law, Gloria Dickens, recently passed away and she spent her last months of life enjoying the staff and accommodations at Dogwood Forest Dunwoody. Though she made it clear she was ready to die before moving into Dogwood Forest, she loved her time there and said she felt like she moved into a mansion! That said, I think my wife, Kathy, put it best in the thank you letter to Bill & Darby today: John and I just wanted to thank you both for all the help and care you gave us and our Aunt Gloria. Your staff handled her last days and her passing with love and care. It is hard to believe that she is gone but after her accident 6 months ago, she just lost her will to live and focused on her desire to pass and be with her husband. We are grateful for the time she had at Dogwood Forest and know that your staff did all they could to take the best care possible of her. We wish you both the best. Please let us know if we can ever do anything to help you and the Dogwood Forest community.
