I recently visited the community with my mom for a tour as we are looking for assisted living for her. I was greetes warmly by Amy, the receptionist and I was impressed by the fact that they were expecting us. The community is beautiful. Jessica toured us and we were amazed about all the programs they offer. Free personal care and hygiene supplies? I visited many communities and nobody offers that. Staff was friendly and smiling. My mom and I are seriously thinking about moving to Tuscan gardens and will be back soon. We had dinner and it was delicious and lots of variety.

My family is so lucky to have found Tuscan gardens. What a beautiful community. The staff is so friendly and treat my mother so well. Camilla, one of the med techs is the absolute sweetest and treats mom like her own mother. The activities are wonderful and they even have an ambassabor program which helped mom get involved. The bus driver takes them all over the Venice area. He makes them have such a great time. Highly recommended this community if your loved one is in need of socialization.

As I prepare to sell his home, it's peace of mind to see that he will be well taken care of in this community of caring individuals. Had the pleasure of visiting a friend at this beautiful community. The staff are all positive and gentle, whether you're in the general community or the memory care. Enjoyed spending some time with some of the "guests" during dinner. They bragged about the events that keep them active-Bingo, bocce, golf and lots of others. Oh yeah, and AWESOME room for him to have as his own space! I moved my parents in 6 months ago. I wanted to submit a review after my parents acclimated for at least 6 months. I wanted to make sure what I wrote I was accurate. From the moment I toured Tuscan to the present time I've had nothing but a great experience. When we first brought my mom and dad in to tour we were so welcomed. My sister and I had so many questions during the move in process, there was never a time even late into the during evening hours that my sister and I didn't get a response or the help we needed regarding our questions. Prior to moving in the director Jennifer spent a hour at my parents house answering questions. She came to us because my parents couldn't get to the community that day for an assessment . They felt very comfortable being as those we had met with her when we first brought my mom and dad to tour. My parents can be very demanding and the staff have been so good to them. We are fully aware of how time consuming they can be and everyone has been so patient with them. I must mention Dr. Olsen, my parents love her as do my sister and I. She is the in house doctor at Tuscan who sees my parents, she has been such a delight. My mom no longer drives and she utilizes Tuscans transport , she raves about Ruben the driver, He is so good to her. I just can't rave enough about everyone who's come in contact with my parents. The concierge has been so helpful as well, my sister and I don't live close by so we are always ordering my Parents stuff and Carolyn is so patient with us and always makes sure everything gets delivered on time to them. Kudos to this team!

Tuscan Gardens is a beautiful facility. Immaculately kept. Sadly, since the new management company took over everything went down hill. The food is horrible. They have cut the staff down to the bare minimum. My mother's medication was lost for four days causing her to go into withdrawal and no one even checked on her despite many phone calls from my sister and myself. We were forced to move my mother to another facility last week. Don't let the facility and the sales pitch blind you. Tuscan cannot get its act together and if you check around you will find out its reputation has been tarnished. Run don't walk.

My mother moved into Tuscan Gardens a month ago and I couldn't be happier with the facility and staff. I visited a variety of facilities to find one that was a good fit for my previously independent mom. Mickenzie and Jessica made a great first impression. They have continued to provide support to us. Jessica even went up to visit my mother in her suite. Every (and I mean every) single staff member we have met has been friendly and helpful. Caroline, at the front desk, is a gem and a wealth of information. I have observed how patient and kind she is with the residents. I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Olsen and the nursing staff. They are kind, responsive, and thorough. The maintenance staff, cleaning crew and nursing assistants all greet you with a smile and go out of their way to help. As an added bonus, the Catholic church in Venice comes to provide communion on Sundays which makes my mother very happy. While the adjustment from total independent living to assisted living hasn't been easy for my mother, she has been surrounded with a staff that will help her adjust. If you are looking for an assisted living for a loved one, make sure you put Tuscan Gardens on your list!

We moved our father into Tuscan Gardens of Venetia Bay about a month ago. The facility and grounds are beautifully appointed and maintained - reminiscent of an Italian villa. However, what impressed all of us the most was the way we were greeted and treated during the tour and admission process - just like we were family and we belonged there. The staff has been very attentive to our needs and we feel like our dad is safe and secure in his new home. Speaking of home, my dad says the food is delicious and reminds him of his wife's good cooking. We are very pleased with the care our dad is receiving at Tuscan Gardens and highly recommend it if you are looking for a top quality assisted living facility for yourself or your loved one.

We came from up north to visit family and saw this gorgeous building off the side of the road. My husband and I stopped and were pleased to find out it was an assisted living facility. We are looking for one in this area to be closer to family. Upon walking into the building we were greeted by a very friendly sales person who greeted us and took us on a tour. Everyone was very pleasant and friendly. When we came back down there was live entertainment and they were making pizza which we got to try! Everyone was singing and dancing with the staff and it was a warming sight to see. We are looking forward to Tuscan Gardens being our new home!

How fortunate my husband and I were to find Tuscan Gardens. We have been here over three months and have not met a staff member we did not like. Our comfort seems to really matter to them. They have two staff members that work to provide us with many age appropriate activities. They plan activities that will work for residents with all levels of abilities. It is wonderful that three meals are provided daily. There are other items available if someone does not like the two entrees on that daily menu. One perk that I am sure the ladies would notice is that we have cloth napkins for all meals and tablecloths for dinner. To me that just shows class. We have found the meals to be very good with a nice variety. After a few days the servers not only know you names, but know what you want to drink. The facility is spotless and our apartment is cleaned once a week. Our bed is changed weekly and our towels are washed at that time. Our individual clothes are also laundered twice a week and never mixed with other residents. Bottom line, Tuscan Gardens exceeded our needs and expectations.

My husband and I have been very pleased with Tuscan Gardens as a place for both his Mom and Dad to live. The staff is very friendly, knows my in-laws by their first name and is always welcoming. Mickenzie, the community relations manager, gave us our first tour of Tuscan Gardens and helped us with moving my in-laws from their home of 20 years to Tuscan Gardens Assisted Living. Mickenzie is a problem solver and always has good solutions when we need help. Mickenzie knew the right people to contact for moving my in-laws into Tuscan Gardens and helped us expedite the move within a few weeks. We still continue to contact Mickenzie today when we need her help/advice. Tuscan Gardens offers many social activities for the residents so there is something for everyone. The large floor to ceiling windows in the dining room look over beautiful gardens and makes it a pleasant place to eat everyday. Whenever my in-laws need help, they just push their button necklace and help shows up within 5 minutes so it is a very friendly and responsive group of people working at Tuscan Gardens. You can't go wrong with Tuscan Gardens.

My beloved mom, Dorothy Kuhlman, moved into a lovely apartment at Tuscan Gardens where she lived for twenty months. She dearly loved all of her caregivers. All were great, but I would like to give special thanks to Aris, Maria, Renatta, Michelle, Rhonda and Christian. Mom also loved her nurses, especially Faun and Hollie, and they took excellent care of her. In the dining room, Dawn, Brandy and Joey were her favorites and always gave her TLC and treats of her choice. Mom loved all of the activities and Meredith made it especially fun for her. He was apprehensive on making this big move but he is so happy and tells everybody he loves it down here in Florida and in particular Tuscan Gardens. I usually do not voice my opinion about an organization or business but I wholeheartedly feel that I should in this case. I offer this because I feel very positive about Tuscan Gardens. Approximately five months ago, it was decided by our family that it was appropriate for our mother to move closer to us in Florida and to move into assisted living . For 10 years, she had resided in an independent living resident in Massachusetts, which met her needs, but she was now in need of a different level of assistance. My family and I did a lot of research and by using the Internet we narrowed down our list to five assisted living facilities that we felt that should be under consideration in Venice. We then went to each facility. All of them were adequate, but there was always some element that was missing, except for Tuscan Gardens. This facility seem to check off all the boxes. A decision was made that my mom should move there. This was a big decision for her because she was leaving behind what was familiar and going to a new living situation. It turned out to be a very good decision and my mother is happy. One of the first people we met on the staff was McKenzie Barnes. Her position is crucial in helping people to decide to move to Tuscan Gardens and to help the family and the new resident feel good about the place. She did this professionally and graciously. She provided a tour of the facility For us and again later, for my mother. Mrs. Barnes has an excellent personality. She is warm and friendly. She comes across as being very interested in helping the residents of Tuscan Gardens to make a smooth transition into the facility. Because this was a new experience for my family, we had many questions that need answering. No matter how minor or major the questions were, she answered properly and in an informative and friendly manner.Mrs. Barnes was always on top of her game throughout the move in process. She consistently has helped us. She is the perfect person to hold her position. I write this because Mrs. Barnes showed such professionalism and dedication to her position and to tuscan Gardens. She certainly contributed greatly to help make this transition for our mother successful. We are forever greatful to Tuscan Gardens.

I will not give specific names in fear of leaving someone unmentioned in this 5 star positive review. I am a licensed physician in another state whos entire practice consists of treating patients on site at Assisted Living and Nursing Home facilities....so I am confident in saying to the nurses, nurse techs, nursing aides, PT, OT, Speech, activitys, admissions crew, dietary, housekeeping, front desk staff (in no specific order) of Tuscan Gardens....my family gives you 5 stars!!The staff is extremely attentive and caring. The progress my mother has made and the day to day stability is truly amazing. The facility is gorgeous as well. This is definitely a difficult industry to be in. Being on both sides of the spectrum, as a healthcare provider as well as a family member of one of your residents, your professional and caring approach is deeply appreciated!!

My mother is very happy at Tuscan Gardens. She feels safe and well cared for. She is making friends and enjoying the quality activities offered. Excellent music programs and especially Friday night pizza party with everyone singing along and dancing. Old people can still have fun. The food is very good and the grounds beautiful.

I was so nervous to place my Mother in a new home, new level of care. We looked all around Sarasota and Venice and decided upon Tuscan Gardens. I had made up my mind that I wanted my mother to live the last few years of her life in dignity and full of as many activities as an 86 yr old woman can handle.The brilliance of T G is that they have the Enhanced Assisted living for someone who needs more help than reg Asst living.Mackenzie, the resident advocate, has worked so closely w my family to ensure the best fit for my Mama. She has walked the walk of her talk. She has gone out of her way to make sure my mother and family feels good about the move.She works 24, 7 and everyone in TG knows and loves her. She is now a part of our family.Stephanie, the head nurse is cautious and studious about placing your family member in the right place. Trust her and believe in her.Mary Ellen is another fabulous and caring staff member. She works closely w all the residents to make them feel engaged and at home. She takes them on excursions to get them out. She is an asset to the TG team .Then theres Larry and Dave. The inside guys who make everything happen like movies, TVs, maintenance etc. They will go over and beyond to help you make your loved one comfortable am head over heels about this beautiful Tuscan Garden. My father used to say, getting old isnt for sissies! Id like to get old here!!!

My mother-in-law spent 6 months at Tuscan Gardens. It was an excellent experience. In addition to it being well designed and beautiful. The real heartbeat of the place is the excellent staff. All we encountered were helpful and upbeat. Tuscan Gardens has a great atmosphere and when you walk in you can feel the residents feeling part of the community and engaged.
