After thoughtfully evaluating eight different options, we moved Mom from Independent Living in another part of the state to the Assisted Living section of Tequesta Terrace two months ago. From the beginning, TT felt like the Goldilocks choice”not too big, not too small, but just right. What has meant the most to us, though, is the genuine care shown by Crystal, the Executive Director, and Dominique, the Health and Wellness Director. They truly seem to know and care about each resident, and they work hard to foster that same compassion throughout their team. The transition was not easy for Mom, but their kindness, patience, and support helped her through it. Today, she is much more comfortable and accepting of her new surroundings, which gives us real peace of mind. Mom has always valued staying active, and we are grateful for Martin, the new, positive, and energetic Activities Director, who has brought fresh energy to the monthly activities calendar. We know the ride may not always be perfectly smooth, but we have been very encouraged by how responsive Crystal and Dominique have been whenever an issue needs attention.

My mom first moved into assisted living at Tequesta Terrace and has since transitioned to memory care. Throughout this journey, the staff has made what was a very difficult situation for our family as easy and comforting as possible. Executive Director Crystal Collier is truly amazing. She takes the time to get to know both residents and their families on a personal level. She regularly checks in with me, sends pictures of my mom participating in activities, and shares observations about how she's doing. Those thoughtful updates give me tremendous peace of mind. The Nursing Manager, Dominique, has also been incredibly helpful. She is always available to answer questions, address concerns, and provide support whenever needed. What stands out most is that everyone”from management to the nurses, aides, kitchen staff, front desk team, and housekeeping”knows my mom by name and genuinely engages with her whenever they see her. It feels like a true community rather than just a facility. I am so grateful for the compassionate care, kindness, and dedication shown to my mom every day. I highly recommend Tequesta Terrace to anyone looking for assisted living or memory care for a loved one.

It will be almost 2 years since we placed my father into TT memory care. We have experienced alot of turnover since then. Crystal, the new Executive Director at Tequesta Terrace, has made a tremendous difference”especially in the memory care community where my father resides. She is incredibly hands-on, compassionate, and truly present. You don’t just see her behind a desk”she’s actively engaged, supporting staff, residents, and families alike. Since she stepped into this role, I’ve seen meaningful improvements and a renewed sense of care and attention. Her open-door approach and willingness to listen have brought so much comfort to our family. Leadership like hers is rare, and it’s clear she genuinely cares. She is an invaluable asset to this community. She and her team work together beautifully and my father and I feel it!! Thank you Crystal! —

Deciding to transition my mom into an assisted living facility was not easy until we met Marilyn Pascale. She was so welcoming, caring and helpful. We knew we found the right place. From day one, we felt noticed and supported. The staff members from the front desk, nursing (including the physical and occupational therapists), activity management, dining and maintenance (including cleaning staff) are all top notch. It truly takes very special people to do this type of work. I couldn’t ask for a better team for my mom’s caregiving. All of this is not possible without the guidance of a special leader. Crystal Collier, Executive Director, is excellent in what she does. From the bottom of my heart, I am extremely grateful for her support and unwavering commitment in making residents and families seen and heard. Tequesta Terrace is truly a unique place lead by extraordinary people.

Moving my mom from her home to assist living was a big adjustment for her and the family. The staff at Tequesta Terrace shown compassion and knowledge to help my mom transition to her new home. During the couple of years she was a resident at Tequesta Terrace there were several management changes. Currently the Director,Chrystal, makes everyone feel like family. She is knowledgeable on senior care and always available to help answer any questions. The current nursing staff managed by Dominique are amazing not only for their training but taking time to sit and visit with mom.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Tequesta Terrace staff and thier response to community requests. One example is I worked with Marilyn and a family in need recently. I reached out with an urgent situation involving a senior whose spouse needed a memory care respite stay within a day or two of initial call. I felt Marilyn and Crystal went above and beyond from my very first moment of contact to bringing her into the community. They truly care about the families they serve, and it shows! Thank you ladies for working with Oasis Senior Advisors to serve the seniors in our community!

I have been dealing with Tequesta Terrace for about two months, since we had to move my mom when her previous facility had to close their doors. I can't say enough good things about TT. The building is beautiful, the staff is amazing and will do whatever they can to make a loved one feel comfortable. The amenities are like a fancy hotel and one of the best things of all for my mom is the Catholic church right next door. I recommend anyone looking for a facility for their family member to give TT a look. PBM

My father-in-law recently moved into Tequesta Terrace, which has recently been purchased and is under new management. He was residing in an independent living facility and at 95, with the beginning symptoms of dementia, it was clear he needed to move into an assisted living facility. Mary D. guided us through the transition, from the initial tour of the facility to moving in. At the initial meeting we received a tour that started with a sit down meeting where Mary listened to our needs. She not only explained the services available at Tequesta Terrace, but she educated us regarding the differences between various assisted living facilities, explained how different licenses allow some facilities to support aging persons throughout their life, while others are limited and require an aging person to move to a different facility if their needs change. Tequesta maintains services and licensing so that their residents can *age in place*. This meeting was followed by a tour of the facility, and then an introduction to many staff members including the director of nursing, the director of the facility, the reception staff, maintenance staff, the director of physical and occupational therapy (OT/PT), and the food service staff. We truly felt like we were the most important clients at Tequesta Terrace that day. At our second meeting, we brought my father-in-law to Tequesta Terrace and the format was similar to our first meeting. But this time, in addition to Mary, the directors of nursing, OT/PT, the facility, and the food service staff, all spent time with him to converse and get to know his needs - including what his favorite foods were. During both tours, we met residents who were walking through the halls or who were in the dining room. When residents in an assisted living facility are genuinely happy and say things like you are going to love it here and this is a great place to live, the staff are wonderful, my father-in-law (and my husband and I) were assured that this place that felt like home, was the genuine deal! Mary guided us, and was clearly supported by others on a team at Tequesta Terrace, through the application and move in process. On move in day, the staff immediately guided my father-in-law into the daily routine while my husband and I moved his belongings in and set up his apartment. The maintenance staff were there at 8:00 a.m. that day, greeting us and getting the TV, cable, and phone set up. This place runs like clock-work! And what is more impressive, their extraordinary efficiency is truly outdone by their warmth and commitment to service. The staff at Tequesta Terrace far exceeded our expectations and continue to astound us by their unbridled thoughtfulness. After moving my father-in-law into Tequesta Terrace, and seeing that he was already fully immersed in his new home at Tequesta Terrace, we said goodbye and returned home. Leaving a loved one in a new place is an emotional time, and the experience was no different for us. To our delight, we received several texts that evening - around dinner time. These texts were from Mary and contained photos of my father-in-law smiling and engaged in conversation with others while enjoying dinner in the dining room. Since then, from time to time, we receive texts from Mary, containing photos of him enjoying a beautiful day on the front patio or engaged in other activities that clearly bring him joy. Perhaps what says it all is this. My son, who grew up with his grandpa - - a grandpa who for a period of time even lived with us. In early June 2022 my son flew to Florida to visit his grandpa in his new home at Tequesta Terrace. I spoke to my son on the phone after his visit with grandpa and my son said Mom - I have never ever seen Grandpda so happy. His new home is beautiful, he has friends, everyone is so kind, he loves the food, and he was smiling the whole time we were there!. Grandpa is so happy - now that’s a 10-STAR review!!!

Tequesta Terrace Review Two years ago my brothers & I realized our parents were in need of assistance with their daily activities. So we started our search and looked at approximately 12 different locations and decided Tequesta Terrace would be the right fit for them. We moved them into their apartment in February 2019. They loved it right away and were very comfortable. There was plenty of activities to keep them busy. Plus an exercise room right across the hall from them which is great. The food is also very good with a wide variety. The entire experience “ from initial tour and interview, to selecting the apartment, moving in and getting acquainted with staff, activities & other residents has been very easy. The nurses & CNAs quickly learned my parents needs and when they noticed my Dad was a little off they where on it right away, contacting us to let us know he needed medical attention. It has been a big relieve to us to know they are happy & well cared for by all at Tequesta Terrace. Our Dad has since passed in July, 2019, but our Mother is very happy & comfortable there by herself and doing great. We realize there are a lot of options out there but Tequesta Terrace has been the best choice for us and our parents. The Booth Family

The facility is well maintained. When I visit my grandfather the staff are very friendly and my grandfather loves it there. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I think any assisted living facility should be a little more reasonable in prices especially for seniors that are on a fixed income and dont have a lot of money coming in every month. But overall a really great facility.

After my friend told me glowing things about Tequesta Terrace, and our local therapist said he felt it was worlds above other options, our family checked it out for my father and step-mother. I would like to say a few words about how my father is doing at Tequesta Terrace and my family’s impression of this assisted living community. I am very pleased to observe that my father seems very happy at Tequesta Terrace and seems to be thriving. My mother, sisters, brothers and I are impressed each time we visit him with what a beautiful community it is and how well he has been able to fit in. His apartment is very nice and comfortable, located directly on a garden courtyard with a pleasing view and quick access to the outdoors, which is important to him because we all want him to get out more. The care at Tequesta Terrace is outstanding. That is one of the main reasons we selected it. We have had experience with other assisted living communities, so I can say that with confidence. They have more staff, especially nurses, than a lot of other communities, and there’s nursing available on all shifts. They have an extended care license so if my dad needs more care in the future, they can provide it instead of us having to relocate him to a nursing home. This gives our family a great degree of confidence and comfort as he ages. The Executive Director is a very qualified Registered Nurse who has been responsive to all my questions and concerns. The staff at Tequesta Terrace are all friendly and caring. They always seem to have a smile or a joke for him and he interacts with them well. They take excellent care of him and provide him with any help he needs with things like showers, brushing teeth and hair, changing clothes, etc They do his laundry and keep his room clean. If he needs to call for more help, he has two nurse call systems available to him plus a phone. They provide his daily medications (including arranging for prescription refills), arrange his doctor and dental visits, do his medical assessments, and coordinate with his doctors and our family about his care plans for approval. This attentive service has taken a load of work and concern off our shoulders! Meals are healthy and satisfying and he has been eating better than he had before. The wait staff are very professional and know his likes. The chef comes out to talk him and the other residents. As far as I can see, Tequesta Terrace takes safety very seriously. In advance of the Category 5 Hurricane Dorian, the management was in close communication with our family about the possibility of an evacuation. They had buses ready in the parking lot and hotel reservations just in case a mandatory evacuation was ordered, which it was. The residents were already packed and ready to go to a Hilton hotel in the Orlando area upon issuance of the order. My father, who could easily have been filled with anxiety over the situation, actually enjoyed the three day trip. Our family, many of whom live out of state, was put at ease knowing that he was in very good hands during such an emergency. And had they remained in the building, I take comfort in knowing that it appears very well built. It has impact resistant windows and one of the most impressive generators. State information listing installed generator capacities at senior communities shows that Tequesta is one of the only ones with the potential to generate enough power during a normal power outage to allow residents to remain in their own rooms with lights, electricity and air conditioning running, rather than potentially having to be relocated to a common area in order to stay cool. Of course, I know there are never any guarantees about outcomes during an act of god event when anything can happen, but I do feel that Tequesta Terrace is well prepared. It is also close to the police, fire and rescue squad and Jupiter Medical Center. In summary, my family and I all agree that Tequesta Terrace is an outstanding senior community and we are glad that we chose it for our dad. He would agree! We would highly recommend it to anyone.

Took a visit to Tequesta Terrance and it truly resembled a 5 star hotel. From the movie theatre to the private rooms! Being a nurse myself and working in nursing homes, nothing so far has compared! The facility was spotless. All the residents were happy and seemed to have a strong bond with all the nursing staff. If I were ever in need of an assisted living facility for any of my family members, Tequesta Terrance would be my top pick!

My aging mother was moved in to Tequesta Terrace in February. It was such a TRUE blessing to have to privilege of having her there. The staff was totally AWESOME and yes, I would HIGHLY recommend you to check it out. Very clean, great food, sweetest and extremely helpful staff. They made great accommodations for her that allowed her to truly enjoy her environment the last few months of her life. THANKS to the staff at Tequesta for making my mother so happy for he last few months of her life.

Fourteen years ago, my mother-in-law became a resident at Tequesta Terrace and lived there for four years until her passing. The staff at Tequesta Terrace were absolutely amazing and she received the best care. Of course, it took about a month for her to adjust to a new routine, and the staff came to know her quite well. If she was even the slightest bit off her routine, the staff would recognize that and follow through, either by calling us, or when it was necessary they would reach out to her primary care physician. They encouraged her to participate in activities and to socialize, which kept her engaged and active - and safe. Recently, my 98 year old aunt began to require more assistance with her daily activities, and also gave up driving! Yes, she was a good driver up until a few months ago when she realized her abilities were not like they used to be, and for safety sake it was time to turn in her keys. She knew she needed more help with her daily routine. We had a family conversation to "get the ball rolling", and thinking it would take a few months to convince her to move to assisted-living, she let us know that day that she was ready. She also knew where she wanted to live, even though we offered to take her to tour three of the local assisted living residences. She had often visited my mother-in-law when she was a resident, and she had other friends who had moved there, too. There was no doubt in her mind that Tequesta Terrace would be the place. My aunt has been a resident at Tequesta Terrace for one month now. The entire experience - from the initial tour and interview, to selecting an apartment that would suit her needs, to moving in and getting acquainted with the staff, activities, and the facility - has been beyond our expectations. We recognized several staff who were there when my mother-in-law was a resident, and some of them remembered us, too! It says a lot about a place when the staff has been there a long time. The nurses and CNAs have quickly learned my aunt's routine, and if anything is slightly off, they are on it immediately! As for my aunt, she's is a very social person, and she has met new friends already! She loves going to the afternoon entertainment, and enjoys the trivia games. She is a wonderful cook herself, and no complaints so far on the food! In fact, we have plans to cook a family dinner with her in the lovely family kitchen - and I know she'll be supervising us doing the cooking. We attended Tequesta Terrace's Holiday Open House in December, and it was a fabulous evening - dinner, entertainment, cocktails - the entire staff participated and the food was amazing! It was nice to see so many residents and their families enjoying the evening. I have read the other comments, and I can't speak about your experiences. But, I can honestly say that our experience has been quite different. I know there are many options for assisted living in the area. Our family is confident in knowing that our aunt is very happy, well cared for, and safe at Tequesta Terrace.

I was delighted when I initially moved my mother into assisted living at Tequesta Terrace from Mangrove Bay. Tequesta Terrace's building is certainly physically nicer. They offer larger apartments and the interiors are well maintained. The dining room menu is certainly an upgrade over Mangrove Bay. And, the sales presentation is excellent! After less than a year, I often feel that no one truly wants to hear my concerns, whether regarding housekeeping, laundry, activities, etc. I don't feel 100% confident that care is managed as efficiently or thoroughly as possible. Sadly, the activities are stale and my perception is that few residents participate in the rote activities. My biggest disappointment is that I recently asked to hire an aide (at an increased monthly fee) to assist my mother to use the bath tub in the facility in lieu of the shower in her room. She prefers and is more comfortable in a tub. The tub was a bragging point in the sales presentation. I am now told a tub is no longer available for her use. I also requested to hire an aide (at an increased monthly fee) to brush my mother's teeth as prescribed by her very concerned dentist. I was told that they did not have an aide qualified to perform the duty of brushing her teeth. This is very concerning to me as teeth-brushing seems far less demanding than other duties required to assist the elderly. During the sales presentation, I was assured of Tequesta Terrace's higher accreditation -- I should have asked specifically what this meant and what duties could not be performed. I am now forced to hire an outside aide to brush my mother's teeth every morning and every evening, seven days a week. I can only imagine how many outside aides I may need to hire as my mother's ability to care for herself declines further. I had assumed that Tequesta Terrace would manage and provide care to keep my mother safe, healthy and dignified as she aged. Bottom line: I am now required to hire outside assistance that I assumed would have been available in assisted living at Tequesta Terrace.
