My future mother-in-law has been the Sales Manager at Brookdale Tequesta for several months now. I have been lucky enough to visit her at the community a few times and to truly see her dedication to what she does every single day. The community is truly a home like atmosphere with a very welcoming and nurturing environment that feels like home when you walk in. One of the things that I know for a fact that stands out about Brookdale Tequesta is the fact that my future mother-in-law is there to assist in helping families and seniors find a place to call home. She is one of the most caring, compassionate, and truly an amazing person inside and out. She dedicates herself to ensuring the comfort and care of seniors and their families. She is one of the good ones for sure! If you are searching for senior living for your loved one you can rest assured that you will be treated with respect, compassion and caring throughout the entire process. Brookdale Tequesta is a place that not only you can call home, but you can also call your family. It's a wonderful place that I know truly enhances the quality of life of its residents. My sister Phyllis has been a resident at the Tequesta facility for 4 months and I am very satisfied with the quality of care provided by the staff. Melissa has made the transition seamless and has given us the relief, piece of mind and reassurance that our loved one is well taken care of in a homey environment I only gave 4 stars because the facility is older and in need of an update. I also want to recognize and thank Suzie who is in charge of the kitchen and dietary needs. She is professional and warm to everyone and always welcoming to visitors and residents. My sister gained a much needed weight which is another proof that she is well cared for. I found all the staff to be available, accommodating and warm and this, in my opinion, is a five star rating.

So far the place is great compared to where my parents were prior. Dominique the nursing director is fantastic. Keeps me updated constantly. The management team seems to have things going in the right direction.

We had to put our mom in Brookdale Tequesta just before Christmas. Needless to say it was an awful feeling for us and for her. That feeling of leaving your crying child in day care times 1000. She was always there for us and we felt helpless. It was the hardest 2 months of all of our lives! My heart still breaks thinking of how she must have felt. HOWEVER.... she is thriving now! She does things with the staff that I never thought she would agree to like puzzles, color, and play games. I see her hug other residents and the bond between her and the other residents. She is no longer alone at home or stuck with me. She is with her peers and cares for them. The other day I brought her back from an outing and the dinner had just ended. A sweet staff member brought Mom's dinner to a table and was stirring cream in her coffee. That means so much because she knew my mom like cream in her coffee... she knew my mom personally! The affection they show my mom even when she is being difficult means so much to us. My mom is my best friend. Dementia is the evil disease slowly stealing her from me. I am so grateful that she is safe, cared for, and personally known by the Brookdale staff. Let me add that we have NOT been easy on the staff. My mom is a retired nursing home administrator so we really have been picky.. and my mom constantly points out their mistakes or what she thinks needs fixed/cleaned. LOL

I was responsible for a family friend who needed assisted living care. We are so happy that we chose Brookdale Tequesta. She was at Brookdale for a year and a half before passing. We found the staff at Brookdale to be very efficient, professional and caring. The facility was always immaculate. The atmosphere was warm, inviting and calming. I highly recommend this facility.

My mother has been at Brookdale Tequesta for a little over a year now. Its a long drive from where my husband and I live but well worth the trip. Most of the staff at Brookdale are extremely well trained and I couldnt have asked for better people to take care of my mom. I am there sometimes three times a week and it never ceases to amaze me how on top of things they are with my mom. They love her and try very hard to take care of her. What more could you ask for? Ive been to many places some of them look like hotel resorts with up to 175 people. How can they possibly know if my mom is even in the dining room eating ?No place that handles elderly residents, some with dementia can be absolutely perfect. The executive director is top notch and will do anything for the residents and family members there. This type of business is constantly growing and they need feedback from all of us in order to constructively improve anything. Special thanks to Kaitlyn , Maria, Teresa, Jeanne, Kimberly, May, Cara,Rose and Suze for all your love and help.You made my life bearable through this and I cannot thank you all enough ❤

My mother has lived at this "Sterling House"/Brookdale of Tequesta for over 5 years. While nothing is perfect, I believe she has been well cared for while residing there. The staff is competent, caring and knowledgeable. They exhibit patience and concern in their day to day responsibilities. I would be confident recommending this facility to anyone.
