The Villas took wonderful care of my father for over a year until he passed away. The Villas is filled with caring techs and nurses. They all lovingly cared for my father and provided so many wonderful events and entertainment for all of the elders and family members. If you are looking for assisted living or memory care for your loved one in Tallahassee, I wouldn't look any further than the Villas. The Villas are just like homes and feels like one every time I visited. Thanks so much, Villas!

My grandmother is currently living here and we have had the best experience so far! The staff is very nice and communicates well with our family. They have built relationships with the residents and care for them. The houses are all kept clean and tidy. My grandmother is very happy here!

The Villas @ Killearn Lakes is an amazing place. They take wonderful care of my husband and it's all in a lovely, safe setting. The staff is kind and caring, and there are several fun and engaging activities scheduled each day of the month. The home-like atmosphere and the healthy home cooked meals within each villa smell wonderful at mealtime! I'm so thankful for The Villas!

The Villas at Killearn Lakes gave mom the safe home she needed after dad passed. We tried other facilities but they were not the place for her or us. The entire team at the Villas treated mom with love and respect every day for almost three years. We always felt like family to them and they treated our mother with such care and dignity. We cannot say enough good things about our experience with Pete, Bobbi and the entire Villas family, they have our eternal gratitude for taking such great care of mom while in their care - thank you! This place….my mom was at the Villas and I couldn’t have imagined her being anywhere else. When they called hospice in it was just me and mom. My family wasn’t here at all but the caregivers had became my family. After moms first week there I told her “I did good didn’t I?, she whole heartedly agreed. The environment is wonderful, the food is good, her first night there they were making a pork roast in the crockpot. Most of all the elders really look at for each other and I did not have one caregiver that didn’t love my mom. This is a family not just an assisted living and I totally recommend. BTW Villa 4 rocks! Thank you for making moms time better.

If you want your loved one bathed twice a week (that is their confirmed standard), to be stranded on the toilet with no toilet paper, and fed a diet of hot dogs or burgers with fries (vegetables are rare) then this is the place for you! Look beyond the fru fru they flaunt.

When my Mother needed to move from our home into Assisted Living, we all wanted to find a place that felt as close to home as possible. After visiting the Villas at Killearn Lakes we all knew we had found her next home.We have been very pleased with every experience from the initial visits, meeting with staff, moving in and now living there for a month. The Administrative staff have been wonderful. It is obvious they love what they do. They are regularly visiting the elders, finding out what they like and dont like, and showing them they care for them. The caregivers have treated her like their grandmother. They have been so loving. We hear from the caregiver and Administrative staff regularly, keeping us posted on how she is doing and anything they feel needs attention.I havent even mentioned yet how beautiful each Villa is and how nice the neighborhood of Villas is!! Each Villa is truly a very large home. The great room is very inviting. The elders enjoy eating together at one large table, then sitting together watching television in front of the fire. The rocking chairs on the front porch are a favorite gathering spot to watch whats going on. Believe me, they enjoy keeping track of who is coming and going. The private bedrooms and baths are very nice size.For this huge life event in my Mothers life, we know she is in the right place.

Ive recently moved two clients into the Villas@Killearn Lakes for Assisted Living care. Both are thriving in the small, family type environment. Meals are made from scratch in the kitchen of each Villa and residents are encouraged to participate as they are able. The large living room provides opportunities for socialization while the smaller activity room provides an area to spend quiet time alone. The 2 covered porches allow for socially distanced visits with friends and family. The staff to resident care ratio is the best in town with a maximum of 12 elders in each villa. Im truly happy to know my clients are CARED for by all who interact with them in this residence!Activities that have particularly increased the Quality of Life for my clients include Mocktail hour, Bingo, Walking Track Team, Special guest Musicians in the Courtyard. The increased socialization in each Villa has been life changing for my folks. I have seen them reduce the time spent in the recliner and return to more active daily activities. The staff are always helpful and encourage residents to get out into the sunshine. Many fast friendships have been formed in the front porch rockers.

We feel so grateful to have found The Villas for our loved one! This is a new facility and the staff to resident ratio is excellent and by far the best in Tallahassee. The clean, caring environment created by the administration and the care partners is beyond expectation! The open concept with the kitchen, dining, living area as the center of activity encourages safety and inclusiveness. And the added bonus is that the owners are local residents who have an investment in doing assisted living the right way. We cannot say enough positive things about this organization, thank you for taking such good care of our mom!

They really do an awesome job and we loved the difference between the Villas and other larger facilities. I know my mom was happier during her respite stay at the Villas in her nice house instead of a big building that looks just like every nursing home. Also, we loved that she had the same few people taking care of her each day. She really got attached to them and it was so much nicer to not have a crazy large staff and different people every day. Especially during this crazy pandemic time, it was so important to us that she had some familiar friendly people she could see every day.

To be completely honest when first hearing about the Villas I did not have very high hopes. My experience with ALFs has been nothing short of depressing. But upon getting to know the staff I was taken aback! This place is nothing like the facilities weve all come to know and dread. The environment is open, welcoming, and LOVING! The Care Partners interact with the Elders as if they were their own family members because they consider them to be their own family members! They work incredibly hard day and night and somehow still always have a warm smile and genuine conversation to offer. Anyone who has a family member residing here can rest easy knowing they are in the best hands possible! I cant wait to see the Villas expand and thrive!

I am not sure where to begin. I am a Family Physician and I have seen all kinds of Assisted Living Facilities in my time. My mother who lived down south of Tampa needed a place to call home. I heard about this new model of caring for Elders and after researching more, I knew this was the real deal! This model treats each of its Elders (residents) as a true person, not some bed to be filled. I moved my mother into this wonderful place and I cant contain my thankfulness. This is a true home to your loved ones. There is a saying that to know someone, you should look at them when they are not knowing they are being watched. EVERY step of the way, the Villas at Lake Killearn Lakes has exceeded my expectations. Every time I have visited, I have witnessed the extraordinary kindness of the caregivers, sitting one on one with the Elders, not for a show. They are patient and loving. They are well trained and attentive to every need. They help each Elder maintain their dignity and treat them with the utmost respect. I have so many great experiences that I can share. Bobbie Massey who is the social worker has walked with me every step of the way. When I moved my mother in, I first moved her furniture in and guess what? One of the owners, Pete came and personally helped me and my brother move her stuff in on a weekend - that is personal attention that you will never find at any ALF. The other owner Dr. Chris Mulhrooney has been equally attentive. When my mom finally arrived, I met with all of the well trained staff and Pete came in to meet with my mother personally and sat by her side and held her hand as he knew it was a difficult time for her and for my family. Not an exaggeration! My mother has been doing the best she has been for years since the loss of my father. This place is truly a Godsend! My mother truly has found another loving family to call her own in addition to us. I cannot recommend this place any more strongly. If you have a loved one needing Elder care, do not overlook this place!

The hard work and detail to each and every home is so beautiful. Its great to know that we can actually go in and be with family, to eat in the dining room or sit in the living room or cook a meal, instead of feeling like youre in a facility where people are just sitting in the halls with no one paying attention to them. This place is a HOME!!! If you havent been there to tour the homes and the grounds, you should stop by and see it. What a great concept for Tallahassee!!!

I toured the Villas today and I was extremely impressed. When I arrived I was greeted by one of the local owners. That alone was a pleasant surprise that it is Locally Owned & Operated. The concept was something Ive never seen. I think it was brilliant. A beautiful million dollar home with 12 studios and a 1-6 care ratio. So much more homier than a large box facility. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I definitely recommend checking out the Villas.

I met with Pete today to tour the Villas, I was impressed. The concept of home like living is wonderful. There will be a total of 9 homes with 12 studio rooms beautifully decorated. Each home has a front and back porch, sidewalks will connect each unit for easy visitation among the residents . I would definitely recommend checking out the Villas if you have a love one in need of a wonderful caring place to live.
