Tallahassee's "The Grove at Canopy" was my step-mother's home for the last 4 years of her life. She enjoyed the comfort and freedom of independent living for 3 of those years. And during the final year (first in assisted living and then memory care) the staff consistently went far above any basic requirements of their jobs. They greatly exceeded my expectations! I only live a mile from there, was in the facility several times each week, and had ample opportunity to see these people at work. ALL of them were outstanding! In particular, I give special thanks to Director of Nursing Asya Williams and Director of Memory Care Danielle Cooper and to their teams for all they did, especially as failing health made Ede's life more challenging. When the time comes, I hope I can live in a place as nice as this. I commend them, and I recommend them. Prospective residents will have a hard time finding anything better in this very competitive market.

As a Therapist, I can tell you without a doubt that this is one of the best facilities in town…the staff is phenomenal and the residents behave like their family…I see a lot of facilities during my travels with Home Health and this is by far my number one suggestion for people looking for a new home

It's such an incredible community!

Probably the nicest assisted living facility in Tallahassee. They keep the place clean and well-decorated. The food is generally really good, like legit red snapper last week. More activities than you could ask for. It never feels crowded in there. Peyton, the memory care director, probably works longer hours than she should, but she keeps the place running smoothly. Care and attentiveness is obvious every time I'm there. They're always open to input and suggestions and specific care requests for your loved one. Grandma has a lot of needs, and the aides never shy away from helping her. Everyone seems to work together as a team and engaged in their job. A lot of really solid staff dealing well with what can be a tough job. Have to give the nurses credit for their quality Care also. Take the tour and talk to some of the staff. The only bad reviews I see on here are from disgruntled ex employees… that apparently didn't last.

My mom did her research on facilities all over town. Since Oct 2021, she calls The Grove a cruise ship without the water! They have special events families join in on, special meals, July 4 th, Marti gras to Christmas, et., with special attention to all the details! My mom, Linda Walker, highly recommends!

Absolutely the best place for people who are unable to care for themselves at home. Friendly staff. Great place. I would be happy to introduce you to them to see if it is the right fit for you or a family member.

Have lived here 18 months. I would not move in if I had it to do over. The management of the Grove is inexperienced and does not follow the agreement they give you when you sign up. You are lied to by the sales manager Laura who promises you things that are not true. The food is not up to the standards they claim. Their are other retirement options you should explore for less money.

The Grove at Canopy has been a blessing for my mom and our family. I know my mom is getting the best care and loves it there. She has her own apartment but has assistance if she needs it. The Grove is top notch and my mom said the food and staff are fabulous. I am so glad I got her in as a resident. The Executive Director, Crystal Curvey does an excellent job of making sure everyone is taken care of and is an asset for the Grove. I researched, and there is no better place to have your love one go to than the Grove at Canopy for their new home.

Im pretty happy with the Grove for my Dad at this time. I cant give a five star at this time because its hard to tell how it would be without COVID. Crystal and Semeka have been very helpful and accommodating. There are a couple things that would make me more comfortable with my Dad being there and one is to have more staff available on the weekend. Second would be to have more activities on the weekend because it doesnt seem that they have as many as during the week and third some of the things we were told by the salesperson when checking out facilities of where my Dad would be able to go in the entire facility doesnt seem to happen. I feel this leads back to not enough help. Maybe because they have some people doing multiple jobs. We were able to come into the facility after having a negative COVID test and were going to eat lunch with my Dad because he had been wanting us to for a while but there wasnt a vacant chair in the memory care unit dining area to sit in. It wasnt because there were other visitors either , it was just enough chairs for residents. We were told before he went into the facility that he could eat at any dining area which has never happened that we know of other then Thanksgiving outside. Most everyone there is very nice and helpful and my Dad for the most part likes it there and is doing very well.

The community here is absolutely beautiful and the staff makes you feel like family. Not only that, but it has been so affordable. This kind of quality care is hard to find and my family is so grateful.

My mom was the first resident of Memory Care at The Grove. Since the day she moved in, we couldnt be more pleased with her care. Sameka, the Memory Care Director, is caring and compassionate with many years experience in the unique needs of these sweet souls. The nurses and caregiving staff are held to high standards, which are evident in the superior care the residents receive. The residents stay busy with fun activities every day, thanks to the wonderful engagement staff. The food is top-notch and served restaurant style with new menus daily. As family members, we rely on the staff for compassion and care during the ups and downs of the dementia journey. The excellent care of our loved ones has continued despite the many challenges of 2020. Working in memory care is a calling, not just a job, and I am so grateful for the dedication of each member of The Grove family.

My father was their 6th resident to move in over a year ago and as expressed by him, he couldnt be happier! He often comments how beautiful his apartment is and how much he loves the high ceilings and he loves his front view apartment with a view of people coming and going keeping him connected to the outside world. He especially loves that he can see me coming when I pop over! With Teds, Carrabbas, Outback, and Bonefish just down the road, we have so many great choices to dine out, again highlighting the stellar location. The building is stunning, the staff dotes on him and if there are any problems, the administration addresses them. He enjoys Chef Deans cooking taking his meals in the dining room 3 times a day always knowing he has friends to join him. Covid has of course disrupted visitation but we FaceTime and window visit appreciating the Administrators abundance of caution. Basically Covid has not been an issue in the community due to frequent testing. The daily activities include a casual gathering every day at 4:00 and hes always keen to socialize with his friends while observing 6 social distancing. Best of all, he loves that his furry little Yorkie Sophie is allowed to be there with him. There are numerous places for him to walk her but he prefers the open atrium with the beautiful fountain because he can sit in a rocking chair and let her sniff about. The Grove is a winner for us!!

Absolutely amazing staff. Crystal is top notch in her organization and care for the residents. Its a beautiful cheery place with great care. While no place is ever perfect- the Grove offers exceptional services for our loved ones with much care! This is our 3rd Assisted Living facility in Tallahassee and we couldnt appreciate them more! Highly recommend

Words can not describe just how amazing the team at The Grove is. My husband and I toured many communities trying to find the perfect fit for my grandparents. From the moment we walked in we knew The Grove was the one! While touring with the director we couldnt help but notice how happy the staff was. Housekeeping stopped to greet us, we met the chef, had an amazing meal, watched the interaction during an activity, and met the nursing staff. The Director and marketing team assisted every step of the way making the transition much easier than we could have ever imagined! It didnt stop here! While delivering all of my grandparents belongings the Maintenance staff was waiting to ensure the room was set up perfectly. We are so blessed to have my Opa and Oma part of The Grove at Canopy family<3.

Update: Its been about four months and the other day my dad said I love my life. After leaving a home he treasured, its wonderful to know he is once again at home. Original post: My father is so happy and at home at The Grove! The super friendly and knowledgable staff is very engaged with the residents and they know how to keep the party going . There are so many daily activities to choose from that my dad is busier and happier than he has been in years...hes made many new friends and so have I. Food is excellent, the honey glazed salmon is a must try. After a lot of shopping around, I know that The Grove is a place you can truly call home

Executive Director and Sales Team are fantastic! They answered all our million questions, didnt make us feel like we were a bother (since we walked in for a tour and information) and they were very knowledgable when it came to options on Senior Retirement Communities for my parents. They put my mind at ease knowing that there are still great places for my parents to go to live out their golden years. I highly reccommend this company and their wonderful staff.
