I would not recommend Big Ben Hospice to anyone. When they came to evaluate my husband's health at rehab,, she made the statement he did not look like anything was wrong with him. WHAT??!!! He was in his last days!!! A nurse was not at my house the day they brought my husband home. I was told there would be. They only came when my husband had passed!!!! I have not been contacted in any way from them since he passed March 12..

As the caregiver of four family members I am graciously giving Big Bend Hospice a 5 star rating! I could not have have walked these four journeys with out the love and compassionate care given to my family and myself. Every need was met and the patients always came first. I want to commend the Volunteer Staff and Volunteer's for always bringing an open heart and beautiful smiles that helped me through a ruff day. Lasting friendships were made along the way and I continue to be blessed through those at Big Bend Hospice to this day. There are many needs to be met daily at one of the most difficult times in your life and I feel they have earned my 5 star rating! Thank you Big Bend Hospice!

For more than a decade I have been telling anyone who will listen, volunteering at Big Bend Hospice is a truly inspiring and joy filled experience. As a life long volunteer, literally since I was a young child, in so many different types of institutions and in many different capacities, I have to say volunteering at Big Ben Hospice is the most rewarding volunteer experience I've had. Whether I am with patients, in the admin office or the volunteer dept, every day there is a joy. In each of my assignments I encounter such inspirational people who are so gracious and so grateful for any help at all. Every employee I encounter, whether doctor, nurse, volunteer staff or administrator has a kind word and show of gratitude. I can't think of any place I would rather volunteer.

As hospices go, Big Bend is generally well managed and delivers services as advertised. Care is generally delivered in a compassionate manner. However, this compassion does not always extend to Big Bend volunteers, who may find themselves treated disrespectfully with an appalling lack of compassion. Beware.

My mom is here and when I tell you there are some caring and nice women I say women because that's all I have met when I need to go out to handle business they have someone sit with my mom even if I go outside cause trust me I don't want to leave my mom's side if something happens I want to be right there it's very very clean and neat. I want to say to the staff yall have done a very good job I couldn't have chosen a better place. Big Bend Hospice job well done I did meet one man Rex he's the assit.manager he was very nice about getting what I needed for my job which was very helpful cause I need to work once again job well done.
