Absolute gem! Do not pass this place by because of the exterior. Once you go inside you will find nothing but cleanliness, organization and friendly faces. Chip went above and beyond to ensure that my mother in law really experienced what the Pointe is all about. Amenities and features that no other facility in the area offers and provides living that truly shines. We looked at both independent studios as well as one bedroom models that were well maintained, clean and well equipped to provide a great deal of value for the money. The building itself is incredibly clean and comfortable and from a social perspective really separates itself from the other local options. Do yourself a favor and go visit Chip and you will not be disappointed in what you will find! Absolutely impressive facility and staff!

I have been a resident at The Pointe at Ocean Boulevard for 19 months. It has become my home. The other residents have become like my cousins. We all get along very nicely. This is very important! We look forward to greeting each other every day. The Staff at The Pointe is always finding new ways to make our lives happy. It is not only the bigger things that they do but also the smaller decorations placed around The Pointe that makes it feel like it is our home. We had to make some tough decisions when it became too difficult and unsafe for my mom to care for my dad on her own. We had considered assisted living but when we dropped in to The Pointe, Chip Schmidt did an awesome job in explaining the difference between what they could offer through independent living plus on-site access to medical care customized to the individual vs what is offered through the typical ALF. Chip provided information in a no pressure manner and was extremely personable” we could tell he is loved by the residents. We spent several hours there, interacting with the other residents, having lunch which was fabulous (the chef is GOLD), touring the facility, meeting with the owner of the on-site nursing group, and meeting with the executive director. We were impressed when the executive director participated in the Christmas karaoke session in their bistro! We decided that this was a better decision for us vs assisted living facility as my mom did not need assistance (yet) and my dad could get help specific to his needs. They would make friends at their same functional level and we would have peace of mind that they are living in a place where the employees truly care for the residents. And come the day when my dad is no longer with us, my mom can continue to live there; she would have to move if they were in an ALF.

Chip,the sales manager, has been so helpful and the apartment is quite nice. The common areas are very nice and homey.The restaurant has very good food. I had the pleasure of a complimentary meal. Freshly made individual orders from each weeks menu. My friend is moving in to his apartment next week. The amenities couldn't be any better. The social activities are many. There's something for everyone. There's even a van for outings, such as,Jammin Jensen. Housekeeping is included, also. I love that!! So far The Pointe has been exactly what we’re looking for. We met with Chip, sales director, to get a tour and see the place. It’s a huge decision, to have an older person sell their home and move into independent living. His patience, knowledge level, communication and gentle demeanor with prospective residents is unbelievable! The activities director, Kimberley, is so committed and connected to the residents. She misses nothing. The calendar is full of a wide variety of activities that are happening all day long. From root beer floats, to happy hour with live music, gatherings to watch football games, shopping trips, theater, Bingo (boy, do they like their bingo) seminars, crafts there’s so much for my aunt to do. It’s independent living, she can come and go as she chooses but I’d be hard pressed to leave if I were her! There’s nothing she will need that’s not already on the Calendar!! And all the fitness classes are led by a certified PT not just a fitness instructor. I believe her name is Katie. Not only is she a delight, but she cares about the residents. It’s obvious, and appreciated. With PT and a primary care Dr. on site, I’m confident my aunt will be well cared for. She’s excited about this place. And we visited a bunch others were fine, but from the moment we walked into The Pointe she felt like she was home. Oh and we tried the food. Get yourself a meal here, you won’t be disappointed! Fresh seafood deliveries 3-4 times a week, an engaged exec chef who takes pride in his menus, listens to residents and heck, even names dishes after them. The entire staff seems to be super engaged and truly care about the residents. I’m excited for my aunt’s future at The Pointe!

Jessica is one special person if it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t be in this place. I was in the hospital. It was Jessica. I went out of the way to help me getting into this place. I must say this she’s truly a class act if you need a place and you are a senior citizen I recommend you to get Jessica at Hong Kong. She is somebody will go out the way for you. And also, I have to say the cooks in the kitchen the people to wait. The tables are very very special people, and they will take care of you as well. The activity staff is one of the best The person runs this place. She also is great. Sometime is hard to figure out, but she’s such a great person I believe with my whole heart Jessica is a perfect sales person I believe should be the best candidate to run this place because she had a perfect personality Sit down the Earth That’s all I can say, but everybody that works here is great and you will have no complaints with the staff member Also, they have many activities for the residence like tomorrow Is Saturday They taking us to a free Concert And I’m telling you, you must make this place your home they will go out the way for you to make you feel at home So anybody looking for something for your family member? This is a wonderful facility. My father has made friends with all the residents. The staff is super nice, and the facility is affordable for his budget. They have a swimming pool, a small gem, a spectacular movie theater along with different activities. My fathers favorite is going to bingo three times a week, we had originally moved my father into Addington and six weeks after he moved in they increased the rent a we transferred him over to The Pointe and by doing so he is saving close to $9000 a year which is a significant price difference for someone living on a budget income. With his rent, this includes his electricity, his cable, his Internet, and three mils a day without a food credit allowance, like Addington, and And the resident and staff are much friendlier and laid-back when he was at Addington he felt out of place and it seemed that the resident and staff was more snooty than where he is now . I would highly recommend this for any loved one

Good Evening: Last week my mother, Carmella Preski was advised by medical staff to have a glass of warm milk every evening. Since last week, each time she goes to the Dining Room, they never have milk for her. I approached Sal, at the front desk, and he was surprised to hear this news; but would make sure she gets her milk. Again, this evening my mom requested a cup of milk and again, they told her they didn't have any. Numerous times she requests ice cream or dessert and more often than not does she get any - always stating they ran out. Can someone assure me she can get her milk each evening. As of last week I drove 40 minutes one way to deliver her milk. I think this is unreasonable. Secondly, why doesn't your facility provide milk or dessert? I thought her monthly fee was to provide her 3 meals a day. Please advise. Thank you.
