I cannot recommend Acorn Elder Care in Stuart, FL, highly enough! This locally owned home care business has been an absolute blessing for my family. Denise and Marlene are incredibly helpful and kind, making the entire process seamless and stress-free. Our caregiver, Linda, was an angel sent to us. She provided exceptional care and companionship for my mom, who has dementia. Linda's compassion and patience were evident in everything she did. When the time came to move Mom to assisted living, Linda went above and beyond by helping pack, accompanying us and the movers, and even assisting in unpacking and setting up Mom's new apartment. Her support during this challenging transition was invaluable. Acorn Elder Care's dedication to providing loving and personalized care is unmatched. We couldn't be more pleased with the caregiver services we received from Acorn Elder Care. From the very first call to Marlene, we have been impressed by the professionalism and the care that extends beyond the client with needs- it touches the whole caregiving family. We were referred to Marlene and Acorn by a respected healthcare professional when we found our family in a healthcare crisis. A family member suffered a major health event and due to the nature needed round the clock attention beyond what the excellent hospital facility could provide. Acorn was allowed in to serve our family member. What we needed was a service professional who could sit with our family member and be a caring hand/voice, observing and communicating needs to the hospital staff and updates to our family, to assure our family member they were not alone. As a manager, we found Marlene to be a very effective communicator and prompt with communication via text, phone, email and an in person meeting. She took the time to get to know our loved one in need and our family. She clearly communicated the mission of Acorn and also the services to be provided in our unique situation. Invoices for services performed were detailed and we appreciated the flexibility when we needed more or less hours due to schedules. I personally got to know several of the caregivers as I was woven into the care team as well. We just are completing three weeks of care with Acorn and are pleased to provide this review. Thank you, Marlene and each caregiver who took such great care of our father to help him thrive in this Covid environment. You clearly communicated LOVE when we could not be there. Even as we look for the next facility, Marlene has provided assistance with input and reaching out. Five stars....from our family. Thank you.
