I just have to add my story about symphony at Saint Augustine. When finding a new place for mom to stay, we were totally amazed. We met with Laurie who is your Director and her staff on a one-to-one breakdown of what the expenses would be per month. She was so informative and so was her staff as to the costs for the month. Laurie was always there to Lend, helping hand and still able to answer any questions that we had. I would totally recommend this facility for the care and the concern that Symphony of Saint Augustine has further tenants. Mom really love this place, and unfortunately she passed away on May 26, 2024

Symphony of St Augustine has been absolutely amazing and wonderful for my dad and our family. The executive director, Lori, has been so accommodating to make my dad fit right in and feel at home. She answered so many questions and addressed all my fears, allowing for an easier and more comfortable transition for my dad. The staff is fantastic, and my dad loves participating in the activities and has made so many new friends, which means the world to him. The food is great too…kudos to Luis, an outstanding and totally awesome culinary chef! We are so blessed to have found Symphony at St Augustine and highly recommend them for any loved one who needs their loving care. The stress and worries I had on a daily basis are now gone. I can actually go on vacation and not worry because I know he is happy and very well cared for by Lori and her staff. Thank you, Symphony at St Augustine, for being there for us and helping make a hard and uncomfortable decision easy.

My mom has only been at Symphony for a week and transitioning to assisted living has been challenging. The staff at Symphony have been so caring, patient, and attentive since mom arrived. They respond quickly to any request and we are slowly seeing improvement. I definitely sleep better knowing she is in a safe place surrounded by loving caretakers.

I have been visiting Symphony for more than 9 years as a Dementia Specialist. I have always been impressed with the care of their residents. Excellent socialization, activities, environment, food, pleasant rooms are all part of the care they provide. The staff, especially Anna, are employed for all the right reasons - the care and health of all who reside there.

I can't tell you how pleased we are with Symphony Memory Care!! My mother has been there for a few months now, and it already seems like home. Of course, the transition of leaving your home of 37 years and moving to an ALF is very difficult, but the staff at Symphony have been amazing! Everyone, and I mean EVERY staff member, is genuine in their love of their job and truly caring about the residents. And the Activities staff??? They are phenomenal!!! They keep my mom super busy with wonderful, meaningful and relevant activities...from the events to games to crafts! I visit quite often at different days and times, and I always experience the same thing: a facility that is beautiful and well-run with the most caring and loving staff!!
June 2022
I was given the opportunity to give a presentation at Symphony of St. Augustine this past Friday and it was absolutely wonderful! Chrissy Singletary graciously gave me a tour of the amazing facility, and was wonderful in her participation in the event. Anna, the event coordinator was EXCELLENT as well, and her care for the community and residents shown through as did Chrissy's.
May 2022
Beautiful grounds, very well taken care of. The director of sales is amazing and so is Anna!
May 2022
Symphony at St. Augustine has been such a blessing to our family. Since the passing of my mom in February, we have had many changes and needed to find a place for my Dad. After visiting quite a few places, Symphony immediately felt like home. Christy, Ana and all of the staff there are so loving. Tons of activities and outings for the residents to participate in. The day I knew that we had made the right decision was a Sunday when we had my Dad over for dinner and sitting on the couch he said "I want to go home'. He was happy to get back "home" and eat dinner with his newly made friends. Thank you Symphony staff for making this transition easier for my Dad and for loving on him 🙂

I enjoyed my time at this community!! Everyone was so nice!! Highly recommend
May 2022
I have had the privilege of visiting Symphony of St. Augustine twice and I was extremely impressed with this beautiful establishment. The staff was very helpful and answered any and all of my and my Husbands question. I was very happy to witness how wonderfully attentive the staff were to the patients. We left feeling very assured that when the time comes this is where we will bring our loved ones.

We are generally pleased with the care given our parents here, especially by Cora (A+ for her). However, due to the high volume of turnover which sadly is systemic in the industry we deducted two stars. The staff are caring but underpaid and overworked and that sometimes results in less than an ideal situation. I am adding to my review because I want to convey my gratitude to Chrissy Singletary, especially, for her kindness and compassion at the end of both my parents lives. They were both residents at Symphony- dad for over 3 years and mom almost 4. Both eventually became hospice patients and both were able to pass in their room- their home- at symphony. Chrissy really went the extra mile to make sure they would not have to pass in a strange place- another facility where nobody knew them. Instead they were surrounded by not only their children and family, but also the family at Symphony. All of the staff who have been so kind and loving to them through the years were able to give hugs and you could see the love between them and both mom and dad as they said their good byes. We are so extremely grateful for all of the staff- from the kitchen staff, Javier the maintenance director, the concierge staff, the wonderful, wonderful activities staff, Anna and Lana who truly go above and beyond to keep the residents lives full of activity and laughter and the med techs and all of the staff who so lovingly care for the residents. Seantol, Curtis, Rachel, Cora, Laura, Sara, Robin, Debbie and so many others over four years. I’m sorry if I missed someone. We are truly grateful for the care and we feel we couldn’t have chosen a better place for mom and dad. We wish they would have been able to stay independent and live in their own home but for so many that is just not possible. Symphony became their home and they were surrounded by love and of that we are sure.

This is a fantastic facility. Every member of the staff is pleasant and courteous and you can tell they care about he residents. There is an amazing activities director, Anna, who always has fun, entertaining, enjoyable activities for the residents. The director of sales, Chrissy, goes above and beyond to ensure all needs are met with each resident. The front office staff, Sarah, is polite and so very helpful with every visitor and phone call. She puts a smile on everyone's face. I highly recommend this facility for anyone needing assistance.

I recently called 3 ALFs in St. Augustine to ask some questions about memory care because my mother-in-law is showing some early symptoms. The first 2 places I called were very eager to get me off the phone once I stated that I didnt want to provide any contact information at this time. This was very disheartening as this is such a scary time for our family. However, when I called Symphony, I spoke with Jeri Lynn and she was very helpful and professional. When I shared that I wasnt ready to give my information, she said it wasnt a problem and she answered my questions. She mentioned a monthly virtual dementia program they offer. She also told me about some websites to look at stating that it is important to find valid information. I could tell that she really cared. I felt better after our conversation and know that as we get closer to looking for a place for Rose, I will be calling Symphony.

Symphany Of St Augustine has been a blessing for me and for my mother who has been there now for a year and a half. I highly recommend this memory care residency, She has advanced dementia At age 78 and is still very active and full of life. The caring, experienced staff is like her family and they all got to know her and her needs. They provide the safety, happiness and support she needs. I am Forever so grateful to ALL the staff . The lines of communication are always open and knowing whats going on especially through the pandemic . They are always patient and positive. They provide warmth and liveliness with socialisation and activities. She loves the Healthy food . I knew symphany of St. Augustine was the right place for my mother. The staff has become a trusted and loved extended family I am forever Appreciative and grateful.
February 2021
Symphony of St Augustine is the best memory care community around . My father has been a resident for 4 months and loves it there . The place is spotless ! Activities and food are amazing . However , the one thing that truly stands out is the Director of nursing - Chrissy . I have her personal cell phone number and am able to call her anytime I have a question or concern . She genuinely cares about my dad and his well being . She has communicated about medication changes , his current state in regards to his depression and even fixed his glasses ! Its a beautiful community !
October 2020
The community design and layout is very easy for memory support residents to successfully function in. The hallways are wide for easy passing, the salon is perfect for those wishing services and the dining room serves amazing cuisine. The Business Office Manager Alicia is kind and has great follow up. She is always welcoming and a great support.
October 2020
Overall we are satisfied with the care our parents receive.Anna, the Director of Activities, and her team are outstanding in their creativity! A special thank you for the beautiful 70th Anniversary celebration the staff created for our parents at a time when we could not be there to help them celebrate. We would also like to acknowledge a few other staff members who specifically care for our parents. Sharon, Kim, Chantal and Angel-your care and patience are much appreciated. We felt it necessary to deduct stars due to the fact that in the relatively short time that our parents have called Symphony home, they have been through multiple directors. Each time this occurs, there is another transition period which ultimately leads to staffing issues. Although these changes have been frustrating, we appreciate the efforts by the above mentioned staff and feel that they should be recognized for their hard work and kindness.
September 2020
I want to thank all the staff at Symphony for all their hard work during this awful pandemic. Anna for encouraging me to paint on days I said I didnt feel like it. To Sharon for giving me great haircuts when my wife couldnt come in to do it. To Seantol for keeping my family informed by FaceTime. To Angel for helping me to adjust the first day I arrived at Symphony. All the kitchen, housekeeping and Rick in maintenance. Also, Beth thank you for always having a chair ready for me when my wife and daughter come for window visits. Bless you all for what you do.
September 2020
We have been a part of Symphony at St Augustine for a little over a year now. It has been a wonderful peace of mind to have my aunt in a place where she is cared for 24-7. But what has really impressed me these last months during Covid is that the staff at Symphony has kept up the round of daily activities- some to challenge the mind, some for exercise and some just social. Miss Anna, the director of activities, has kept the rhythm going for everyone. Even though I havent been able to visit in person since March, I have felt in touch and connected with my aunt through personal texts from Anna, her Facebook posts, and taking personal time to arrange plans for FaceTime and window visits. It seems to be a mark of Symphony that many employees, Anna among them, have been there a long time.
September 2020
My family member has been at Symphony for over 8 months and I really appreciate the level of care and concern they have shown to our family. Especially with the all the additional challenges during the pandemic to keep everyone safe. I feel they are the best choice for someone who needs memory care! I really appreciate all the staff and what they do every day. Especially the resident activities director named Anna, she is just wonderful! she has such a friendly warm personality and really is great at her job. Shes very dedicated to the residents and their well being.
September 2020
I would like to thank the staff at Symphony for being professional and kind. The facility is very beautiful. Im an entertainer who normally come to Symphony once a month to entertain the seniors. While setting up for my performance I observe the interaction of the staff and residents. The staff I see really care for your mothers and fathers. Also any others that may need assisted living. The one group of staff that I would like to really recognize is the activities staff. Life Enrichment Director Anna and her two assistants Lanna and Beba really go out of their way to ensure your moms and dads have fun. Its a blessing to me when I see the residents get up and dance with Anna, Lanna, and Beba. There have been other staff members who also have come out and danced , but I just dont remember their names. I can say there are no better Life Enrichment Staff in the Jacksonville area. The best thing I can see is when these ladies help these special seniors get up and dance with them. Not all activities staff do this at other Assisted Living Facilities in the Jacksonville and surrounding areas and I wish they would. Its all about bringing great old memories back, at least for a little while. So thank you Anna, Lanna, and Beba for caring for your residents at Symphony. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would give 10 stars. Keep up the great job you all are doing.
September 2020
Symphony St. Augustine has a superb engagement department that celebrates life with the residents. The Memory Support Director Anna is always looking for fun ways to engage the residents - this may be celebrating national lipstick day, indulging in National Doughnut Day or doing a virtual cruise within the community. Anna and the team continually create innovative events to keep the residents excited about life, thank you for the smiles you put on the residents faces each day!
September 2020
My dad Ron Searle has been a resident for 1 year. He had a hard time adjusting but with the help of all the caring staff he has come a long way. One individual that stands out is Anna Tenorio. She keeps him busy putting together and painting butterfly houses and birdhouses. Anna goes over and beyond what is expected of her. She is always avail to us whenever we have a question or just need to talk. She is a great asset to SymphonyAlso Sharon Cusson, Seantol Cooper, Angel DeJesus three of his aides go over and beyond to assist him with haircuts, FaceTime and just walking with him.Our family thanks everyone at Symphony for all their support.
September 2020
ALL of the staff at Symphony is AMAZING, from the janitorial and kitchen workers to the nurses and management. I see them interact with the residents with love. They genuinely care about each resident like he-she was their own family member! Activities Director, Anna Tenorio, is exceptionally cheerful and inventive when coming up with ways to engage the residents, and they love it! If I ever go to a retirement home, this is the one Id choose! Thank you for being really great humans. <3

Thanks for all you do!
September 2020
Our mother has lived at the Symphony for a couple of years. I do not live in St. Augustine and I am not a regular visitor. I pop in here and there and I have never once felt like my mom wasnt being cared for or neglected. I expected the minimum hoped for the best but my mom has received the maximum care. I know this while living through the pandemic of 2020 because of my main contact, caretaker Anna Tenorio.Out of the blue I started receiving messages from Anna, then pictures of my mom dressed up at all their parties, then face time calls. From my contact with my mom through Anna, I dont need to worry about my mom, Anna loves her. I wasnt surprised when I told her I wanted to write a review for her and she said, my partners in crime are Lana and Cielo, they are the best!!

My mom has been at Symphony for a year and she absolutely loves it there. It was an agonizing decision to place her but the staff made the transition for my mom, my siblings, and I a very loving, compassionate, and easy move. Anna Tenorio has been such a blessing to my mom and I. During the Coronavirus lock-down, she has kept in touch with me regularly and assisted with my many questions. Anna is not just a caring staff member to my mom, she has become a friend to me. My mom adores Anna and all her caregivers. The entire staff have embraced my mom and made this a home for her to love. Thank you!
September 2020
Ive been working at symphony for a year and I must say I love it. Im so crazy about the residents I love each and every last one of them! The staff is amazing and everyone help each other no one is never left behind. We are a team here and family. I wouldnt know what to do without my symphony family. Always know your family would be in good hands if they come here.
September 2020
Symphony was a godsend when my husband developed dementia. He was so happy and thought he was in a grand hotel. The staff is very careing and attentive and the activities team always has endless projects to entertain the residents. Thanks Anna, Lana and Ceila. Youre remarkable!
September 2020
Its a beautiful facility. The employees are pleasant and helpful, overall everyone is very friendly. The activities are varied to keep everyone engaged. My team does an amazing job at interacting, engaging and creating activities for the residents to enjoy and be active.n this community, I see how the staff and leadership team truly care about the residents and families they serve. Also I want to recognize the hard work and dedication of every employee because they all work as a team with the same goal, the wellness of the residents.
September 2020
Symphony St. Augustine employs the best staff! I cannot say enough about how caring and compassionate they all are. From Chef Luis and Anna in the kitchen, to Jeannie in housekeeping to Sharon in nursing, all show a level of dedication that I have never encountered. One particular standout is Anna Tenorio, the activities director. She works tirelessly to make sure the residents are entertained. But beyond that, during this Covid period, shes given residents haircuts and color, as well as taking on other duties to ensure that the patients are as comfortable as possible. We love her! Thank you Symphony St, Augustine!
September 2020
My family member has been at Symphony for a year and a half and during that time we have always been very happy with the care they have received from everyone. The Activities group especially stands out. They are caring, work individually with each resident and go far beyond just planning daily things to do. Lana is very dedicated to her residents and treats them with respect and love. Anna has been wonderful in communicating and sending pictures during the pandemic shutdown. They have made a very difficult time much easier to go through.
May 2020
I moved mom to Symphony on 02-26-20 and could not be happier with the care she is receiving. The staff are attentive , caring and professional. In this pandemic they have far exceeded my expectations. They treat my mom like family reassuring her when she gets down and making sure I stay in contact with her. They have had entertainment that performs outside due to social distancing. The facility is beautifully decorated and spotless. Mom loves the food and the staff constantly bring liquids to make sure residents stay hydrated. Mom is 94 and I moved her from another facility in St Augustine she has had no problem adjusting which speaks volumes for Symphony. I highly recommend Symphony it is an answered prayer for our family.
January 2020
Very beautiful place and the Activities Director Anna and her assistants Lanna and Beba are very caring and the best at keeping the residents busy with nice activities. They are very talented...
