Our Mother wanted to stay in her own home, but wasnt able to care for herself. A Lending Hand provided her 24 hour care for approximately 1 year. It was a wonderful relationship! All the caregivers Tina scheduled were professional, reliable and caring. Although Mom presented with some challenges , all the staff were respectful toward her. Some have kept in touch with Mom even now that shes in an Assisted Living Facility. We only moved her to Assisted Living to give her more activities and companionship.My family highly recommends A Lending Hand to families who need help for their loved ones.

We needed some immediate care quickly for my Mom after a failed heart surgery and we were referred to A Lending Hand. Tina met with us right away and had a plan in place for several caregivers who were professional, dedicated and caring individuals. They came through for us in an urgent need and were always on top of the changing situation and assistance we needed. Phone calls were returned right away and I cannot say enough about them. I highly recommend them!

A lending hand provided care for my parents for the month of January 2020 I was lucky to have found such a great team .The owner Tina and her staff are wonderful . Tina was always responsive to any emails I sent her months before I even came to Sarasota -she came over when we arrived and she always checked in with me as I was out of state to keep me up to date on my parents care. Her staff is always prompt and kind. My parents really enjoyed both Judy and Miriam they know all the fun attractions in the area and are great care givers as well as tour guides . i wish I could be so lucky to find a team like this at home - I cant say enough of how professional and thoughtful they are . Where shall we begin. My wife and I took my two cousins into our home with Parkinsons with dementia and I called Home Instead,interviewed them and it seemed like a process. I called Helping Hands and for the last two years we have had beyond caring personnel. The assistants are beyond belief, they buy little trinkets for the girls, take them to lunch, zoo, shopping, play cognitive games and the list goes on. The owner is great. Returns calls, is collaborative with us etc. Did we mention, Maria, Lena, Eilleen, Michelle visit on their day off and even stay to give us time out. A Lending Hand is just that. I cannot say enough to express our pleasure and peace of mind. God Bless this company.

The caring and kind people here have been a tremendous help to my father while my sister and I have been far away for now. The professional management and caregivers are committed to being helpful and understanding and my father is so happy to have such lovely people helping us. The support to help him have delicious home made nutritious meals, a clean home, safe comfortable rides and company on doctor visits and dialysis and more has been an excellent boost to his physical and mental health and enjoying his life despite medical restrictions. The interactions Ive had with the staff always keeping me informed of whats going on with my dad has touched my heart and I am so grateful for them; my sister and I both and my dad want to recommend them highly to anyone considering these services.

I found A Lending Hand when we found out that our Grandmother would be needing professional assistance at her home. Tina answered the phone right away, and made me feel at ease. Finding a Home Health Care agency can be very intimidating, but Tina and her daughter Francesca had answers for all of the questions my family and I had regarding our needs. They then came out to my Grandmothers home and provided a service assessment based on inquiries. Not only do they actually care for their clients, their caregivers do as well. We were very surprised to hear of all of the different service options they have, including overnight caregivers! We would 100% recommend A Lending Hand to anyone who finds themselves in the situation of needing care!

My moms health declined rapidly, and my brother and I both live in Minnesota. Tina stepped in right away and gave us exactly what we needed to make my moms last days comfortable and safe. Compassionate and Reliable--- Tina was my 87 year old moms first choice. I was helping her pick, but since I do not live in Long Boat Key, I had to depend on phone interviews and my moms thoughts.She picked well! The Lending Hand crew, led by Tina, were compassionate and always available when mom needed. She saw mom through the end of her life and she was amazing when mom passed, helping us clear the apartment - taking out carloads of donations. We consider ourselves very very lucky to have found Tina when mom needed this help and cannot imagine a better caregiver.

Tina Scarpino and every one of the extraordinary women who cared for my mother for the duration of her illness and confinement were dedicated, compassionate, competent and dependable. I could not have asked for more. At the onset of Moms dementia we only needed a companion to assist, cook, take her on outings and otherwise occupy her time. As the illness progressed we concluded with round the clock shifts giving total care.Our very sad situation was made much more bearable with the compassionate care provided by A Lending Hand. A couple of Moms caregivers have become family friends. I sincerely thank God for leading me to Tina and A Lending Hand.

I really cant say enough about Tina and this organization. My Dad decided to move to Siesta Key in December of 2017. He was coming out of a 30 year marriage. He cant see or hear real well and was not in the best health to be living 100% on his own. However, he wanted to live in Siesta Key for next 4 months as it gave him fond memories of growing up at his grandfathers house. Not having any family or friends in the area gave me, my brother and my sister a lot of concern. I reached out to Tina at A Lending Hand and from the start she we so accommodating on our short time frame and reassuring on making sure my Dad was going to get the best care possible. She us up with Mike and he was amazing! Along with his attention to detail, going above and beyond in making sure my Dad got settled in properly he is an outstanding cook. My Dad and him clicked from the start. I would recommend anyone needing to have older people they care about to check out these guys.
