Reviews Vick Street Manor
December 2025
This is very inhumane—having an elderly person living with bugs in the refrigerator. I wonder how long that has been there; maybe about a month. We normally take my mother-in-law out when we visit, but she requested that we buy some food so she could put it in her refrigerator. As soon as we opened it, this is what we saw. This is completely unacceptable. When you decide to work in healthcare and take care of an elderly person, you have to make sure their living space supports their well-being, safety, and overall health. That is not being met at this facility. I have always had concerns about my mother-in-law living there, and I will be reporting this to AHCA, writing a review, and posting it on social media. I want everyone to hear this! If you can’t take care of the elderly person the way they’re supposed to be taken care of, then you shouldn’t work in healthcare. The administrator is horrible— Instead of making sure her residence are being well taken care of every time she sees me, all she asks about is where the $160 is. That’s all she ever asks: “Where is my mother-in-law’s money?”Social Services is also horrible. Knowing that my mother-in-law has dementia, they haven’t helped or contacted us to look for any other facility that meets her needs and well-being. THEY ALL SHOULD GET FIRED!!!! Everybody in that facility is failing at their job. They should all be fired, investigated, and reported to the licensing board, because no one should be living in those conditions. Unfortunately, I’m not able to take care of my mother-in-law myself because My husband and I a full-time employee working almost 60 hours a week. So we placed her in this ALF to meet her needs, but those needs are not being met appropriately. I hope the person who owns this company reads my review and fires everyone there, then rehires a new staff—because no one there is worth their paycheck!
