If you are searching for an Assisted Living facility I strongly recommend you check out The Gardens of Port St. Lucie. My mom (104) and my brother (82) have been residents for over a year and I am very pleased. The entire staff is very compassionate, supportive and attentive to all their residents. They really care and it is evident in everything they do. Check it out for yourself and see all that they offer.

The Gardens of Port St Lucie is the best decision we made when mom could no longer live alone. In addition to providing a safe and caring environment, everyone on staff provides a positive atmosphere where mom has thrived which is the best thing for her overall well-being. All of the staff are welcoming, warm, and compassionate; they are considerate and mindful of mom's feelings and needs. Mom enjoys the "delicious" meals prepared and served by their kitchen staff as well as the live music offered in the afternoons. Her room and the common areas are kept clean and maintained as is her laundry. Mom has lived at The Gardens for over 2.5 years now and we still believe this is the best place for her to call home.

Starting with my very first phone call I found the staff at The Gardens extremely friendly and I quickly noticed how well the communication was between staff and with the residents and their families. We had communication in the form of phone calls, emails, texts and one on one meetings with Maria, the director. She was our main point of contact and answered our questions and offered excellent guidance when we needed assistance. The nursing staff got to know our mom very well and quickly recognized her needs. Their assessments for her care level were accurate and as her health declined she received all the care she needed to remain in her apartment. I personally noticed nursing staff going above and beyond their duties, once with a nurse manager staying past her shift to help with a prescription issue we were having. I also was very impressed with how the nursing staff really spent extra time talking with our mom especially when she was a little lonely and nervous in the beginning. Housekeeping and maintenance staff were also very attentive, which in part is a result of communication between staff. My mom always had a very clean and tidy room , and we were immensely thankful for help with TV set-up and remote control issues. The bright sunny rooms, tropical landscape and proximity to HCA hospital was perfect for our mom. She also loved the cafe style dining area and we heard on numerous occasions that the food was good and how the other residents were nice and engaging. Being out of state away from our mom was very difficult for us, but we felt like the staff and residents really were supportive and an extended family for her. We appreciated so many things about the facility, but the caring friendly staff and the efficiency of how things were addressed really standout as excellent.

From the very beginning I felt very welcomed here. Everybody is very friendly and nice. All of my meals are taken care of. The staff are here whenever I need them.There is always someone around eager to help. The housekeeping and laundry staff is very nice and they do a phenomenal job. The sales process was very easy and it went by so fast. Kristi made it so easy for me and helped me pick the perfect apartment. They really take time to think of us before we arrive. The move in team is beyond amazing I could not think of anything better to say. The food here is amazing I am a finicky eater and I have not found anything bad about the food. The meals are nutritious and filling. I love the fact that they have a resident ambassador here to help us when we are in need. My table mates are awesome and they really make me laugh all the time. Laughter is a good medicine and we all need that. I love that the staff is cross trained and are trained for any situation. We do live in Florida so hurricane season is always scary and I love that the staff is here during that time. I don’t have anything bad to say about this community all staff are truly amazing and lovable. I am so happy that I found this community I wish I would of found this community years ago. The community is really 5 stars it lives up to the name.

Kristie our host is infectious, with a smile that comes from within her and tells me how much she loves being an employee of The Garden. Wonderful facility, the staff is so caring and enthusiastic. Feels like an extension to family. The minute you enter you feel the positive energy of all staff no matter what hr you arrive ( day and night shifts) The residents all seem happy and entertained with all the constant.activities. Christi and Maria did everything possible to accommodate my dads needs when he moved in. My father has been there 3 months and I can not be happier with the tender care he is receiving. I turned to The Gardens of Port St. Lucie when my wife's medical needs were greater than I could provide at home. A family member's mother-in-law was a resident there, and she is thriving. This gave me a comfort level as I prepared for the transition to residential care for my wife. The staff listened carefully as I documented my wife's many medical issues. They assured me they could care for her. She now lives in a cozy apartment where she can have privacy and summon help whenever she needs it. My strongest impressions are these: - The facility is sunny, friendly, comfortable, and immaculately maintained. It feels good when I'm there. - Staff members at every level are well trained, hard working, and comfortable in their roles. - The dining room is carefully appointed, and the food is tasty, served by people who are eager to please. - The medical staff are professional and compassionate. - The caregivers take great pride in making residents comfortable and safe. - The Gardens' leadership are helpful in putting both the residents and their families at ease. - The Gardens is right across US1 from HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital. It is a 222-bed, full-service facility. It's minutes away from The Gardens of Port St. Lucie. - The residents express contentment about living at The Gardens. These factors and more have made me happy to have chosen The Gardens of Port St. Lucie for my wife's care.

While researching various Assisted Living communities in Port Saint Lucie, I came across several reviews, including one from a user named "RR" who gave both The Gardens and another nearby facility one-star ratings. The quality of RR's reviews, which are poorly written and contain grammatical errors, leads me to believe that this individual may be a disgruntled former employee. I'm leaving my five-star review to provide a more balanced perspective against RR's confusing and negative comments.

Without question, I truly believe that the continuum of care that the Gardens provided saved my mother's life. When we reached out to Maria, our family was in dire straights attempting to navigate my mother's medical crisis from out of state (my siblings and I live in the north and western parts of the US). My mother has always been fiercely independent and deteriorated quickly and without much warning. As many of you who read this begin to understand, elder care and medical support for anyone over the age of 50 is...to say the least...incredibly complicated and as a collective system -broken. My hope in humanity was restored after meeting the staff of the Gardens. Maria and her team embraced us and held our hands through the process with compassion and unwavering grace. My mother's care went from qualifying for hospice to being able to move back to her home in less than a 6 month period of time. I know our story is unique but I cannot begin to tell you the comfort we have knowing that the staff of the Gardens of Port St Lucie exist. If we ever face a time where my mother needs a higher level of care, we will be back at the Gardens under their exceptional care and expertise. Words cannot express our gratitude.

Director Maria and the Gardens staff, including all care givers and personal aides were absolutely beyond what is expected of a professional leader and team. The kindness, patience and communication they provided when caring for our mom (80 with challenging health issues) was extraordinary. The transparency, coordination and support they provided for our family was incredible. Our mom thrived in this community and we would not hesitate to recommend she return if she ever needs assistance in her day to day life. We are very grateful and very impressed. Moving my mother into The Gardens of Port Saint Lucie was hands-down the best decision I could've made for her. I'm grateful for the care she received and the kindness she was shown in what ended up to be the last few years of her life. Management and staff at all levels create a sense of home and community, while offering top-notch care and support to residents -- and their families. I researched and visited assisted living facilities in PSL and Stuart. The Gardens seemed like the Goldilocks of options -- big enough to have the resources and high quality professional staff, small enough to feel like home. But you still don't know for sure what a place will be like until you're there, and The Gardens exceeded expectations. Staff members know each resident well and treat all with respect, catering to all levels of independence. I saw their patience and level of engagement on a day to day basis. And I always felt like management was working with me, and proactively raising suggestions for my mother's care and comfort. I thought the main reason to have my mother in assisted living was for her physical safety, but it also ended up to be the best thing for her overall well-being.

I am so genuinely grateful for the staff at The Gardens of Port Saint Lucie. I was very uneasy when deciding to move my father in any Assisted Living establishment but this place has blown me away. They truly care about their residents and show it over and over. I feel very comforted knowing my father is being cared for by EVERYONE there. They engage and interact with him and all the residents, monitor his behavier and inform me immediately if they notice anything out of the ordinary. They are also so warm and welcoming with my children. I bring them to see my father or when I pick him up and the staff are always so sweet with them and the residents enjoy seeing my kiddos too! I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a safe and friendly environment for their loved ones.

Finding a wonderful place for a loved one is no easy task. We were fortunate that close family friends had spent time researching assisted living in the area. We ultimately chose The Gardens because of the friendly staff, the right size studio apartments, and the active community. Kristi and Marie were fantastic in answering our questions and helping Mom understand this was not a nursing home and would provide all the help she needed when she needed it. All of the staff showed up on move in day to introduce themselves which made Mom feel more comfortable. Some of the staff have been with The Gardens and sister property for over 15 years which shows that it isn't frequently turning over and that provides stability to our loved one. We are thankful that Mom now calls The Gardens "home".

We love The Gardens of Port St. Lucie. Our uncle was there for a few months before his passing, so when we needed to find assisted living for Mom, we knew from experience this would be a quality place for her. The staff, across the board, is wonderful. They are always pleasant, kind and concerned about the residents and their welfare. If you ever need any assistance they are right there and very helpful. The inside of the building is clean and bright. There are lovely places to sit indoors and outdoors. There are planned activities every day, frequent musical entertainment and occasional shopping and dining trips outside the facility. Mom was nervous and frightened about going to a "nursing home", but since moving in, she has thanked us for finding The Gardens and says she just loves it. Thanks to all the staff for all you do. Keep up the good work!

My 89 year old mother is a resident of The Gardens of Port St Lucie. From the moment we walked in, we knew there is no better place for her. The facility is outstanding in every way. The grounds and rooms, hallways and common areas are extremely clean, very organized, nice sized rooms, and every space seems bright and updated. Update! Aug 12, 2022 It has been a year since my mom moved into the Gardens. It has been a wonderful year and she has settled in. It really helps that she considers it home now and is going to the activities like happy hour (with treats which she loves)and entertainment. The staff has been great at taking her to meals and the activities. Because of her alzhemiers she doesn't remember to go! Everyone from the great people at the front desk, Maria , the new director, all the aids, Kitchen staff and hospice are now friends not just employees. And the food is awesome! Dec 2021 Moving my mom to assisted living was a hard decision, but when we found The Gardens it took the fear away. Kristy made the decision very easy and was and is a joy to work with. Mom doesn't really realize she has moved but it gave us great peace of mind knowing she was being looked after 24/7. Everyone is so kind and helpful. And the food is really good. We have witnessed so many positive changes since Maria Ciocca took over as director of the Gardens. Our mother is supported and encouraged to attend activities and she is really enjoying bingo and the daily happy hour of music. We appreciate the activities they plan daily for the residence. My mother spent a couple of years at the Gardens. The staff there is just wonderful very supportive and caring. It is not a fancy assisted living establishment - as we searched around the Port St. Lucie area but I will say it was perfect for my mother and for us. The staff quickly knew my mothers name snd what she she liked. They checked on her regularly and kept the family updated on her needs. The staff was very accessible. I visited multiple assisted living facilities looking for a secure, clean, lively place for my 91 yo mother with dementia. The Gardens was the perfect fit. The facility isn’t the fanciest but it’s homey and clean, and the food is excellent. The Gardens also offers a multitude of daily activities including live music, which the residents, especially my mother, enjoy. What sets this facility apart though is the staff, who are caring and responsive to both the residents and their families. The staff seems happy and respected, and their contentment creates a pleasant environment for the residents. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to place my mom there. It’s wonderful.

I have now been a resident at The Gardens for 3 months. I gained a wonderful new family by moving here. I checked out many other facilities and none came close to this 5 Star community. The 1st person you will talk to is Kristi Torres. She is a very warm and inviting person who will answer every question you have whether you are looking for a home for yourself or your loved one. I was amazed when she coordinated all of my belongings being moved in AND put away. I entered my apartment with it ready to be lived in. The meals are very good and there are a wide variety of foods to choose from. There are activities offered every day or you can choose quiet time in your room. You can stop looking because you have discovered the premiere place to live in Port Saint Lucie. Look me up when you move in because I can't wait to meet you.

I must comment about the wonderful staff! Just the other day, I was waiting patiently outside while the receptionist informed the sales director I have arrived for my tour. Every staff that was entering the building acknowledged me standing there by saying hello and asked if I needed assistance with anything. Not 1, but 3 different staff members. I hope the staff gets some recognition for being SO wonderful.

I transferred to the Gardens last qtr of 2019 after spending 3 days in another facility. I am very please to say that the experience at The Gardens was vastly superior in every way. I found the staff very professional, compassionate and super friendly. The food was plentiful and extremely good and nutritious. I was visited by management on a frequent basis to make sure my needs were met. I had extensive Physical Therapy and the PT staff helped me to learn to walk again. I will be forever thankful for everyone for their help in me getting my life back to normal again. God bless you all for the fantastic care.

My Mom has called The Gardens of Port St Lucie home for 3 years. The staff is very caring. A few stand out. One is Vernisa Lalgee. Vernisa treats Mom like she is her mom. I've seen her with other residents, treating them with the utmost care and compassion . You can tell when you talk to Vernisa that she loves her job and the residents. The other is the receptionist Pat. She is a fountain of information and is always willing to help . She's great with the residents. The Gardens are very lucky to have these two ladies.

We moved our loved one from a memory care facility to The Garden's skilled nursing care unit. From the very beginning of our search for a facility through the transition/admission process, the staff of The Gardens has been amazingly supportive and friendly. The facility is in the process of a major renovation, and we have found it to be very wonderful so far. They have welcomed our loved one with great care and respect, and are working hard to make him as comfortable as possible in this season of their life journey. He has enjoyed the meals so far. We helped my mother move in to The Gardens before Christmas. She has adjusted so well and just loves it there. She enjoys the meals and the entertainment. She even joined a group that plays cards several times a week. The staff has been so warm and helpful. It wasn't an easy decision to make at first but we are all so happy she chose The Gardens. We all feel she is in a safe caring environment and it has put all of our minds at ease.

I want to say "Thank You" to The Gardens of Port St. Lucie. My orthopedic doctor explained to me that I would need short-term rehabilitation after I just had surgery for a total knee replacement. I was there for 20 days for rehap. Their team is the very best. They got me walking with a cane with in 8days. Amazing. Yes. There were a few hiccups in the beginning the transfer from the hospital was provided by the gardens. I found 5 nurses that were fantastic. The place was as clean as possible they took care of any accidents that may have occurred. I would go there again if nessaisary thank you Dorothy, you kept your word.
