The facility was beautiful and very clean. I went to visit an old friend in the Bridges unit. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There were 2 ladies in particular who really did a wonderful job in assisting my friend Lydia. Im not sure of the spelling of her name but I think it's Tianna. She looked very young but was very well mannered. She took the time to help Lydia in the restroom. The other woman's name was Pearlene. She was very patient with her as well and it was wonderful seeing her engage in activities with the residents. Those two women stood out the most to me and I appreciate you for having them here you need more people like them. There was one other staff member there but she didn't seem to do much aside from doze off a little. I'm not sure that she seen me come in, I think her name was Juna or something similar. Overall, this was my first time visiting this facility & I loved it. I will be back to visit again. Thanks for caring for my dear friend.

My mom moved into the Preserve at Palm-Aire earlier this year and I was happy to hear from her that there is a lovely pond with ducks and other animals who the residents enjoy feeding daily. When I came to visit and help her unpack from the move, I felt very at home and the community reminded me of an upscale version of the college dorm, with fun activities, no classes, and way better food. The staff is friendly and seem to enjoy where they work. When my mom got sick ,I stayed in her apartment , and management was very kind to and helpful to me. I met several residents who have lived in this peaceful place for more than a decade. If get to retirement, I'd love to live here myself.

Last week - 15 May 2024 - my advocate and I toured 3 Independent/Assisted living facilities in the Fort Lauderdale area. One was a definite No, one seemed quite good, and then there was the Preserve at Palm Aire - a level above everything else. Teresa was open, friendly and a credit to the facility. The halls were wide, bright, clean, attractive and way above any we have seen. We loved the recessed entrance doorways and contrasting paint - somebody put a lot of thought into this facility, making it look and feel like your private home, rather than an independent living facility. We saw the model Studio and one bedroom. They were larger than we expected and had wooden floors throughout. Every unit had its own screened balcony, a feature we liked. The Studios in another facility we toured, surprisingly, did not have balconies. We took the full tour and were impressed by everything we saw. All very nice. Shane P. O'Neill

The facility was very well kept , everyone from residents to work staff were all very helpful, energetic and great attitude and to top it off our guide Ernesto was just the best . He even went to making a video of unit we were interested in after we left so we could send to my father in law to preview unit since he's in Jacksonville living at the moment.

I can't say enough about how wonderful the Preserve at Palm Aire is! My dad moved there and loved it so much . The staff becomes like family, the amount of love and care he received was amazing. I call it camp Preserve lol it is like adult camp , with all the activities , meals , pool , entertainment and friendships ! The apartments are a great size , the gym , dinning room , lounges and outside pool area are fantastic . You won't have to look at any other place ... I looked at them all and was blessed to be a The Preserve !

stay not long enough to warrant a comprehensive review. but i will echo comments made by other reviewers (which therefore should have a reasonably high index of reliability). first, high praise for rosie, the activities director in the bridges. i don't need six months to figure out that she takes her work seriously and has a real desire to better the lives of the residents. conversely, nothing but contempt for grace, the nursing supervisor. one phone call is sufficient to label her as both officious and inept. her competence and demeanor are so obviously substandard that i would also question the abilities of management which allow her to continue in that position. the jury is still out but the early returns suggest that the preserve is an expensive alternative to the elder care warehouses but one still plagued by difficulty in attracting good employees, hidebound management and operational inflexibility. for now at least, i advise that you steer clear.

I just moved my father into their Bridges program from another facility. I would highly recommend this facility for every level of care. The facilities are a little dated, cut the staff and management are caring and dedicated individuals. Great activities, and fairly decent food.

I checked many AL facilities for a loved one, and then decided on The Preserve at Palm-Aire. And it was a great decision! The entire staff, including the office personnel, the nurse director Grace Brown and the LPN staff are very caring, nice and efficient. In addition, they assure things to get done, get done promptly. And people who I met that live there seem very nice and friendly. No worries about leaving a loved one there. -A great place! Dr. Richard L

Moving my mom into The Preserve at Palm Aire was the best decision ever! At 92, she was lacking companionship, activities and assistance with meal prep & housekeeping. She has it all at The Preserve and more. The staff have been incredibly warm, welcoming and understanding. Mom loves the exercise classes, playing corn hole, seated volleyball and the happy hour events! I strongly encourage anyone considering a move to either Independent Living or Assisted Living to do a tour.

I was in charge of the care of my close friend Joy as her health declined. She stayed at the Preserve for many years, most of those in the memory care unit. Grace , Abby and the staff of that unit were so caring and attentive to Joy and wonderful to deal with. I live in New Jersey and it was a great comfort to know and trust that she was in such good hands. I am, and I know Joy was, truly grateful to all of them for taking such good care of her.

I particularly need to thank Michael for all his help in keeping my mother happy. He has really gone out of his way for her. The facilities are clean and well kept and the property is in great condition. I would absolutely recommend The Preserve for anyone looking for a place for a parent.

My aunt has lived at the Preserve since 2016. She has been for the most part healthy and Her care has in general been good. Recently, her health declined. She was admitted to hospital. Upon her return home, she was placed under hospice care. The staff at the Preserve have been outstanding. Especially, the Resident Care Director, Ms. Brown. Her care towards another human being who is in need, her clinical skills based on years of experience and her knowledge of concrete services, have compelled me to write this review. The CNAs that she administers follow her instructions with great respect. She has also devoted her time and attention, to educate the family with regards to their new role in my aunt's care. In a matter of days all the new requirements were in place and my aunt is now healthier and comfortable in her own home. Who could ask for more

This is a very nice and clean place for the elderlies; as for work, the atmosphere could have been more welcoming without this woman name Grace who she claim to be the director of nursing or executive director. She is very territorial, confrontational, and domineering. I'm from an agency, I have a patient that I was gladly providing service for, the patient loves me, and the family are very nice people, they're very satisfied with my service to their love one. This recent Saturday past, That woman who's name is Grace she called my patient apartment, begin to interrogate me, and when I sense her negative energy, I immediately hang up on her. Approximately, Within less the 2 minutes she storm the room started yelling and shouting at me, while my patient who is bed bound is resting. first thing she yelled is did I hang up on her? Then she went on, telling me I don't belong in the facility, this is her building, who do I work for? What time do get off? Shouting I can leave and she will get someone else, she's the one who told my patient family to hire an agency.she's in my face with no mask, yelling and shouting in the living room, next to my patient room. My Lord and savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth, this woman carry such a bad energy , I have never experienced such a hostile situation where I work. I called the family also the agency to report her, they told me continue to work and don't let her get to me. I suppose to work a 10 hrs shift, that happens around 3 pm, the next 5 hrs I felt such an uneasiness and friction, yet I pressed my way to continue to work. Even when I went to check on my patient, she asked if I'm okay? And beginnings to thank me for being there helping her. Grace left and came back, telling the patient son she will call the police to escort me out, because I don't belong there. She's the director for the facility, it's her building. If I don't work for her, I don't belong there. Because of the patient, also her family, and the agency that I promised to stay and cover that Sunday since it's difficult to get a caretaker on the weekend, I end up coming back that Sunday morning and work again, right after another 10 hrs overnight shift with another patient at their own home, who I have to wake up Eve 3 hrs to check on and provide service for. I pray no other worker, whether agency or the facility itself has to ever go through this again. This woman seems like she will use her position to suppress those who under her, well I sat quietly and told her I don't work for her, she can't tell me to leave. Grace told me I'm the 2nd person she's having a confrontation with from my agency within short period of time, and my coworkers confirmed that she came in the patient apartment just recently before this incident, to also start problem with her. Grace the whole world does not revolved around you, be a solution to the world problem, don't contribute to them. Because of you I will not be going back there , as I told the agency , already I'm working another case that's 10 hrs 7days a week. You can have this facility since you said the building is yours, my blessings isn't limited to being in one particular place. May the God of Heaven have mercy on you and change you and make you a better person for society. Shalom!

Our family would like to recognize the Bridges staff, especially Rosie, the Activities Coordinator. From the beginning we were impressed with Rosie's upbeat, friendly, patient and helpful nature. Rosie has enriched our mom's life in many ways. She has been able to accurately assess our mom's capabilities, and create opportunities for her to participate in the activities that have particular meaning for her. Rosie has also given useful feedback to our family about our mom's activity level. Since all our family members live out of state, this level of attention and communication is comforting and priceless. The other Bridges staff we have worked with: Grace Brown, Bridges Director of Memory Care, Sarah, Director of Engagement, and Kathryn Lane, Assistant Director of Engagement are good problem solvers and have been very helpful and responsive. We recommend Bridges at The Preserve at Palm Aire with enthusiasm.

I moved to the Preserve at Palm-Aire in August of this year. It was a difficult transition and I wasn't sure how well I would adjust to living here. Being a Nutritionist for over 30 years, my food has always been extremely important to me. When I first began eating my meals here, I knew there had to be some healthier adjustments and options for me. I also have health issues that require certain dietary restrictions. I introduced myself to the entire kitchen staff. One by one they embraced all of my knowledge and worked with me on improving not only my meals but the meals for all of their residents. Domingo, Sadia, Adil, Brenda and Angie go above and beyond with their support and interest in making sure all of my meals are prepared properly. I quickly became relieved and comfortable with my new Preserve family. They helped me so much in achieving all of my dietary needs with great flavor and flare. There open mindedness and individual care has made me so happy with one of the most important parts of my life. I highly recommend The Preserve because their staff truly care about the residents here.

Since June 2019, my sister has been residing at The Preserve at Palm-Aire in Pompano Beach Florida. From day 1, the staff have been very supportive in helping me help my sister. She started in the Independent wing and this past August needed to be transitioned to the Assisted Living wing. All the staff are caring, supportive, personable, and professional. I visited 6 other Senior Resident Companies before I visited The Preserve. My criteria was that I would not have my sister live anywhere that I wouldn't choose as somewhere I would want to live if I had dementia. Emotionally, this has been a very difficult process to handle. The Preserve at Palm-Aire has supported my peace of mind throughout the process and for me, knowing my sister's health needs: both emotionally and physically: her total well-being is being looked after . I highly recommend The Preserve at Palm-Aire for your loved ones who need to secure quality living in their declining phase of life.

Memory care needs an activities person! When my father moved here in August there were more activities, then the person left. I know the staff is trying, but they are unable to hire someone which is not helpful for the Memory Care residents. Now my mom receives updates that he participated in only one or two things per week. Oh well, at least he is safe and clean, but he is not happy. I needed to place my mom in an independent living facility so I booked a tour at The Preserve at Palm-Aire. Words cant express how pleased I was from the time I entered the front desk and was greeted by a welcome sign for us. Ernesto Squire, the Senior Care Counselor began the tour with quickly finding my mom a wheelchair because she had fallen the night before. I immediately felt a sense of relief with his care and kindness toward my mom. He asked us about all of the important aspects of what we were looking for and by the end of the tour we were sold. Our family is forever thankful that they have kept her safe and secure during this COVID pandemic. My mother has made a few good friends (that she talks to, eats with and sits with) and seems to be doing as well as could be expected. The food seems good and she has actually gained a little weight over the past few years. It is also a positive that the Director and several nurses-aides have remained a stable part of her environment since she first moved in.I receive pictures and communications weekly regarding her activities and the activity coordinators have been wonderful about planning her birthday and other celebration activities with our family. It was a very difficult decision to move our mother to Memory Care but The Preserve has made the transition and her stay as positive as possible for both my mother and our family.Thank you all for your continued care of our mother.

My father started out in the independent living side of The Preserves, and eventually moved to the Memory Care side as his Alzheimers worsened over time. It was a blessing being able to keep my father within the same facility as his conditioned changed so he would be familiar with the facility and its staff. The staff was always very pleasant and respectful to us and our father in every way and we enjoyed using all the facilities with my father while he still could including the miniature golf putting area. The staff was also always willing to listen to any and all recommendations for improvements which Im sure were many given the number of residents and families. Improvements were always made taking all residents into account and the facility has definitely continued to improve each year since we arrived. Having a gym, pool, movie theater, salon, computers, therapy, pharmacy, doctor, etc all in one facility was priceless.Communication at times could require a follow up but in the end it was always resolved and we felt it was fairly reasonable given the size of the facility and the ongoing changes in their residents and their daily operations. We were a very engaged family, visiting my father several times per week and always supported the facility with our fathers care as well which is so key. We built great bonds with other residents who rarely received visitors and our immediate friends and family grew at The Preserves. Our family wants to thank the entire Preserves staff especially everyone in the Memory Care wing for all the well wishes now that our father has passed and the amazing care they provided for our father during his most challenging years. You all gave his life new meaning, new relationships and so much love and attention that he was never alone. The Covid pandemic made it so challenging on families and loved ones in care facilities and you all become so much more important as you were the only physical contact our family members had most of this year. From all of us in our family to all of you…... THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU not only for what you did but more for who you all are!

My mom has been at the Preserve for 2 and a half years. The response from management or the head nurse is very lacking. I have emailed Melanie White a number of times and NEVER received an email back addressing concerns, and I have called Elsie Paul and left messages with no return phone call. They lack the staff need to handle the amount of residences During these times with Covid we are unable to visit my mom's room and attend to her needs so we depend on the staff at the Preserve. which is very lacking. 12-9-20 Who should I ask for when I call the number ?

I recommend Preserve at Palm-Aire to anyone who needs care for their loved one. My mother and I received the most tender loving care and professional, too. I feel so blessed that I had the care of all of the compassionate staff here. They are my family and cared for my mother like we were family. I still visit even though my lovely mother passed away Nov. 1, 2019.

After dealing with so many facilities .... we finally found home... I have to say the senior living counselors have been amazing ....Noelle, Alex, Shantel have come up with immediate answers for everything weve needed. They are on top of theyre game and have made our lives so much easier....Thank you so much ladies.... its nice to know that there are still some accommodating people that take pride in doing their jobs.

My 96 year old Mom transitioned to Independent Living at The Preserve at Palm-Aire almost three months ago. She was extremely anxious and fearful of the change, as were we. Everyone from the sales and mgmt team (Shantelle and Melanie) to move-in heros (Paul and Jason) to Dining Room Host and Mgr (Brandon) to activities leaders (Kathryn and others) to housekeeping (Karen and Cassandra) and others...they have all demonstrated their professionalism, keen knowledge and abilities in senior care, commitment, patience, respect and most importantly their CARE for the residents and the lives they touch. Im sincerely appreciative! My Mom is relaxed and comfortable after only a short time in transition. She continues to transition; she has gained 7 lbs and loves the food, walks on the gym treadmill 5-6x a week and has launched into Bingo 3x a week. Picture taken outside The Preserve DR last month. Thank you all!! Kathryn Griffin

There is only one reason I chose the Preserve at Palm Aire. Alexandra Montgomery. I had spoken with numerous places and she was the most attentive to my fathers needs and was pro active In responding to all concerns. Her personality was beyond reproach and her performance seemed to be based upon passion rather than company obligation.

My father has stayed at 3 different homes with varying success. Now he has found a place that he is happy at. His nurse and director Grace Brown provides a level of care that I was not used to in the other homes. She is in constant contact with me and takes such care to talk me about my Father. I did not experience this level of care in the past and I feel that I can count on Grace and the entire staff to treat my father as if he were family. Also the facilities and his room reminded me of a Marriott suite. I was blown away by this. In his other homes it was a basic room with white walls and a dresser. This place is truly special both in the facility and the staff.

My 92 year-old mother isnt there yet. Its a long process on my part to investigate, question, research, interview, and just feel comfortable with the inevitable move thats coming up for my mom. I met Alexandra Montgomery over 6 months ago on my initial scouting tour and she has been my constant resource, reassurance, and support ever since. I call her often, asking (more) questions, she keeps me informed of various policy (Covid-19) changes and is quite professional. She understands the drama (and trauma) of moving a loved one into a facilty for the first time and has a lot of patience. The faciltiy is clean and beautiful, the individual rooms are better than many around 1 and 2 bedroom units are available. They are creative with their activities. I have the highest expectations of care when my mom does move there.

I have to share my story. My mother who has vascular dementia lived at an assisted living facility/memory care for five years and while we were like family there, I felt it was time to move her. Things were changing at the facility and while I was hesitant to make a change, I thought it best. The facility and us were just not the right fit, so I found the The Preserve at Palm-Aire. I was so worried about moving mom, and it was 12 days before her birthday. I wish we had found this place sooner. I can't say enough about how happy mom is and how happy I am. My new family there: Grace Brown, the memory care director, the best nurse I could ever ask for, Elaine, and the others Joseph and Janice, and the kindest CNAs! And my folks in activities who threw mom a great party on her birthday!! In the marketing and sales department, Nandy Sahadeo is always available to answer any question, and find the answer, even if it isn't her department. Shantelle Sinclair in marketing is wonderful and so glad my dear friend from Brookdale is now with Preserve, Jacquelyn White. The executive director Melanie White is so approachable. My mother used to say every time she saw me: "I Want to go Home!" She hasn't said it once since she arrived at The Preserve. Today I ask her how she was. She said: Everything and everyone is so nice! She is having a blast. And I have peace of mind. If you are looking for a place for your loved one, feel free to reach out. I even took a vacation across the country. I've felt I haven't been able to go that far from mom, but she is so content, and cared for, I knew things would be OK. I've been through a lot in the past five years, and we're in another chapter in this road of dementia. But things are looking as bright as can be. I remain #momswarrior. P.S. I did make sure that my Vitas Hospice team would remain with mom at the Preserve and they are there, too!

I attended the seminar for new residence which was held by Nandy on July 24. It was very informative and each department was given time to speak. Nandy did a fantastic job setting up the table and giving each dept. a decent time to speak. I learned a few things I hadn't already known. I am glad to be part of this community and thank u for using Nandys knowledge in presenting it to newbees. Meeting was well worthwhile.

We recently moved our 92 year-old grandmother into The Preserve. We were little advantageous at first as we were afraid to leave her anywhere out of our care; however, we have been 100% pleasantly surprised as everything has been exactly as advertised and promised. Our Move-in-coordinator, Nandy, has been such blessing. Please ask for her as she will make every single step of the process smooth and seamless. I really truly have nothing but great things to say about The Preserve - Guys, please keep looking after my Bubi and keep doing a great job!!!

The Preserve at Palm Aire provides assisted and independent living in Pompano Beach with highest quality of geriatric care. Every resident receives the best care and attention. I have my aunt in this facility for more than 4 years. She is like my mom and I love her with all my strength. I want for her the best geriatric care and I took the decision to select this facility and they have not disappointed me, my aunt feels comfortably, enjoy peace of mind and the staff is excellent and friendly. They have excellent organization, very caring and attentive with my aunt and with me. I would recommend 100% this facility . The assistance living facility is the best
