My brother, Mike Smith, is a resident at the Blake. From the very beginning, The Blake of Pensacola has wrapped both him ” and us ” in compassion and reassurance. I am especially grateful for the director, the social activities director, and the nursing staff, as they are the people I interact with most often. Their communication, patience, and genuine care mean more to me than I can fully express. They know my brother as a person, not just a resident, and that makes all the difference. What stands out most is that kindness isn’t limited to one department. From the moment you walk through the front doors, reception greets you warmly. The dining staff is attentive and friendly. Maintenance, clinical support , business office ” truly everyone ” treats residents and families with respect and compassion. Most importantly, my brother is happy. He feels safe, engaged, and valued. He calls The Blake his home, and the people there his extended family. As a sibling, there is no greater comfort than knowing he is surrounded by people who genuinely care about his well-being every single day. I am deeply thankful for the entire team at The Blake of Pensacola for giving my brother not just care, but community and belonging.

My parents were two of the first residents to move into The Blake in 2018. Mom had to be placed in MC and Dad refused to be separated from her so they both moved into MC. Being a new facility, there were issues to be worked out but Management worked with us and tried to correct things we brought to their attention. Mom passed away Christmas day of 2018 and dad moved into the AL side where he still resides. The Blake is very nice, comfortable and clean. Dad is content. With the help and encouragement of staff, he is taking part in activities, socializing with the other residents and even taking the lead in some activities such as daily Bible Study for those who are interested. Charlene, the Activities Director, is a blessing. She goes the extra mile in planning special events and enlisting the residents and families to participate. The Staff I come into contact with on my visits are friendly and helpful. I feel that Dad is being cared for and is safe. I have no hesitation in taking problems or issues, should they arise, to Management and feel confident they would be taken care of. Thank you, Blake of Pensacola!!!

Very nice visit this evening. My brother is a resident here and loves the friendship all around not only from staff, but most other residents. He enjoys the meals most times and all the desserts. His living rooms are comfortable but the air is somewhat smelly. I plan to purchase a couple of air fresheners to bring some fragrance to the air. With a few minor improvements I would definitely give it 5 stars.

My grandmother just moved in at the end of February and while it’s early on I would just like to applaud and appreciate the Blake for how pleasant they have made this transition. Everyone has been kind, helpful and communicative. From Michelle from the sales department being clear and transparent with offers and expectations, the front desk staff being welcoming & friendly, the dining staff making the experience feel restaurant style (+ we are so grateful to the chefs and nutrition team for the amazing food), Bethany from the finance department being thorough and clear with the questions I had, the nurse during her evaluation and all the caregivers, shower aids etc she had interacted with have made my grandmother feel heard, cared for and like she is able to advocate for herself and her needs. Everyone has responded in timely manners to any questions or concerns and while this can at times be difficult chapter to navigate with your family it genuinely feels as though everyone at the Blake wants to do their best to make residents feel at home.

Update --appreciated meeting with the staff and how attentive and receptive you were about our concerns. We have seen improvement from the initial issues. Also, we understand that there has been a change in staffing that is still in transition but appears engaged in mom's care. Thank you for your willingness to meet and listen to our concerns so promptly. My mom has been at The Blake for 2 years. The cost of her care goes up 8% each year, but her overall care has become super lacking. There are a few staff members remaining in memory care that I absolutely love. But, the quality of care that we had for my mom when we chose The Blake is gone. When I went to see her tonight, her hamper was overflowing with soiled laundry and her soiled bedspread was still on her bed. I'm not usually this blunt, but I entrusted the care of my mother to this facility after visiting other facilities. And, I am heartbroken about what has become of this facility.

I would recommend The Blake at Pensacola to anyone looking for a quality assisted living facility. The building and grounds are very well-maintained. The atmosphere is bright and happy. The premise is immaculately, clean, and very well kept. The staff is amazing, kind, caring, and sincere. The level of care that my mother received was outstanding. There are many fine people working together that were able to keep her happy and healthy. They have amazing activities and outings inside and outside of the facility. They helped her see doctors, purchase the things she needed, and take care of many other needs. The dining room and kitchen are top notch. I had breakfast lunch and dinner there today and cleaned my plate at every meal. They also went out of their way to be sure she had just what she wanted to eat and drink. I feel a lot peace knowing she was taken such good care of, and made to feel so special.

Since transferring mom to The Blake, we have been very pleased with the care she is receiving. She doesn't go without. Everyone on staff is attentive to all residents and so many go above and beyond what is most likely in their job description. Mom feels loved and safe. That by itself is worth 5 stars.

My father has had the absolute delight of staying here for the past few months and the transition has been so easy and enjoyable thanks to the staff at the Blake Claudia and Stacey at the front desk are always so kind and welcoming. My father absolutely loves the server logun and says he takes such good care of him. I can’t recommend the Blake highly enough! They have made this stressful move into a delightful breeze.

I have visited The Blake on a few occasions and follow them, the new management and staff have been incredibly friendly. The interiors are beautiful as well. The Blake has far exceeded my expectations. The staff are second to none. From the time you enter, you fee the love. I have had nothing but positive interactions with all the staff. From the Executive Director, David, and Activities director Charline, and Shannon, to my mother’s nurses and aids, especially Amy and Ro. They are genuine and sincere and all great my mom like she is their own mother. I live far away from the Blake, and every time I visit . I am comforted that she and my step father are being well taken care of. Besides the ADL cares, they medical team watches her closely for any changes. I definitely recommend The Blake for other families who may be looking for a safe place for their loved ones.

My father-in-law was a resident at The Bake in Pensacola for assisted living. It is never an easy choice to place a loved one in a facility, even when it is the only solution. He lived there for 3 years before he passed. In those 3 years he developed many friendships with other residents and with the staff. On many occasions he told me they take very good care of me and I get lots of hugs! After he passed, we decided to have his service in the lovely little chapel there at The Blake. Words cannot describe how beautiful the service was. Many residents and staff attended and all had stories of their interactions with my father-in-law. It was a beautiful send off and our family will be forever grateful. He was well cared for, well loved, and very much at home.

The staff at The Blake went above and beyond when it comes to the care of my grandmother. She is currently in their Memory Care unit and at times can be difficult, however they are very patient with her and prompt with informing me on anything that arises. I can say ,especially after my last visit, that I am more than grateful for them.

The facilities at The Blake are very nice! All of the staff that I have met have been very friendly and helpful. They seem to care a lot and have compassion for the residents they are taking care of. The administration team do their best to not only take care of their residents, but their employees as well.

We have been part of the Blake Pensacola family since October. We are still adjusting to the new area, but The Blake family is going the extra mile to help her (us) adjust. Management has answered our calls and given us time when time was short for them. We appreciate the attention to details May I add to my post.the team lead under Ms Charmaine come up with some GREAT weekly and daily activities for these residents. I’m not talking about Bingo and puzzles(nothing wrong with them) but activities that most of these residents had when they were able to live alone at home. I’ve been by multiple times and seen some VERY creative things that have made me laugh, reminisce and want to be part of too. Thank you Ms Charmaine for your gift of care and compassion.

My friend moved into The Blake several weeks ago. It has been a wonderful experience. The staff is so helpful and always smiling. The activities are numerous and varied. They offer too many services to list but my friend is finally living a life of liesure. I've eaten in the dining room several times and the food was delicious. But, to me, BEST of all the whole facility is so clean and it smells fresh!!! I hope when my time arrives to move into assisted living there will be an opening here for me!!! COMPLIMENTS to every staff member.

Both my parents were residents of the Blake from November 2018 until they passed away in May 2020 and May 2021. While living there, lots of changes for the better were made. It was brand new when they moved in and it took a while to get the perfect team together. One person that was always amazing and went over and beyond the call of duty was the Activities Director, Charline Wetzel. Anytime I had a concern she was on top of it. Memory Care was a real challenge, but it appears now they had some great people working in there and that makes me very happy. There are some precious people I got to know while they lived there. For those wonderful people who took loving care of my parents I am forever thankful for you. I pray the Blake will continue to hire people that genuinely love and care for our elderly loved ones and will give them the great care they so richly deserve. God bless!

My father has been a ALF resident for about 1.5 years and recently I had to put my mother in the MC side of the Blake. During this difficult year or so and in particularly recently, the staff at the Blake Pensacola has been phenomenal. Interim Executive Director and Sales Director Paula Dorsey is a consummate professional in her handling of the various issues that arise. Director of Wellness Laureine Dice and her team are outstanding in problem solving and extremely understanding of the difficulty and emotion involved when trying to deal with elderly parents. Kudos also to Nurses Tammy, Lisa, and Leslie. Fantastic Staff. Very happy with the level of care being provided at the Blake Pensacola.
