This is ex-employee Joy WHY? GOD has opened the door for you, by giving you a job in the field that you wen to school for. Please tell me why you felt the need to so this. You fired yourself if you could not or did not want to stay for the next shift you should have been clear about that and not sending emojis. By doing this it goes to show that care nothing about the rest of us that is here busting our butts to make this a home. Yes things have changed, but you have to go through the storm to get to the better, and yes change is not easy but in life it is necessary. Now I know that this was for the best because you were let go once before, and I personally did everything that I could to get you back and this is how you say thank you? You abandon the residents and the building anything could have happened did you ever think about that or did you just not care. If it is the latter it is a blessing that you walked out. You are saying all these things but you did not say how you were a part of them what did you really do to make things better, and you would come to work in workout clothes, you were not getting your work done. You had to be told that you could either start doing your work and stop sleeping or be let go. Come on man this was very immature; now I see how you are built. Here at the Opal we are working very hard to turn it into a very special,warm, inviting, loving, and fun place A HOME.

I have nothing but good things to say about Opal and I consider myself a tough critic. My husband has attended Day Care and respite at Opal, Horizon for over 2 years and I have found it always to be immaculate. The rooms definitely feel like a hotel, large private rooms with sitting areas and updated clean private bathrooms. My fussy husband enjoys all the meals as well as the treats and snacks throughout the day. The best of all is the love and care he gets from this amazing staff. I can leave and know he is safe, clean and happy. If you are in need for your loved one you must visit Opal. It has been a blessing to our family.

My mother has been attending Day Care for a while and she has never been happier. Mom is social again and really enjoys the attention from the staff. So much, in fact, that we converted her to live there full time. Thank you Opal for taking the time with me and my family for this transition. We made the right choice!

Horrible management team. Building infested with bedbugs. Not even a shower log in place for the residents. Weekend staff cannot be found, phone calls go unanswered. Horrible phone system. Horrible call switch system. Low life hotel next-door that breaks in and steals things from the facility. I have watched people move in in four days later move out. Lack of staff and management support overall, no communication. Elevator breaks often leaving non-ambulatory people on the second third and fourth floors. Food is frozen and horrible. Lack of kitchen stuff forces the maintenance man to be the cook! Only two girls in the entire building as med techs, one forced to serve meals, which means residents often do not get their medications in a timely manner. Absolutely, positively not where I would put a loved one. Make sure to read deficiencies reports on AHCA (state regulations) website and interview some of the current residents before making a decision to put anyone you care about here! Their only good review is from a former marketer who was fired! Do your homework, for your loved ones sake.
