In here to walk again due to severe nerve problems that happened after blood clot broken down in my lung and fluids that they drained and my severe hernia has so much weight and something happened in my nerves lower back legs and hips and chronic pain I have to heal and work on walking again and so far I can use walker and wheel chair and rehabilitation for 5 weeks now and I was a month in ICU before that .I've been in ICU for around 4 or 5 months in the past 9 months now A phib and acute heart failure blood clots and the Hernia that is causing a lot of the problem from retaining fluids circulation to my lower abdomen and legs that start blood clots and Fluids that caused heart problems and I'm just trying to explain to get help to live in the whole thing that I have been in my phone and my PayPal and Meta accounts for years now and Google maps to be a good person for the rest of my life.

Overall I am not impressed. My mom is there. There's been no information given to me in any way, regarding her health or care. I have called and asked for whoever is in charge and wind up getting a nurse. If I call after hours the phone either just rings or the person who answers has no idea how to transfer a call. There seems to be little to no communication between staff, or the residents who are there. Since I'm out of state, it's very frustrating to not have anyone contact me at all. She's been there well over a month. And I have no idea what's going on with her. Based on that alone, I'd never recommend this place. My mom hates it as well. Idk for what all reasons, but she has told me they won't even let her go outside. I'd definitely look for other options before deciding on this place.

On more than one occasion, Nurse Donna worked diligently on my mom to treat recurring conditions until she got them under control. Same with Nurse LuAnn. Nurse LuAnn ensured that my mom's rx was changed to make my mom more comfortable. These individuals could have maintained the status quo and continued treatment as it was. Instead they took a genuine interest in my mom's complaints. They really listened to my mom and were determined to make things better for her. Nurses Donna and LuAnn are really good examples of the quality of care available at Beachside.

Absolutely the worst , while I did get some medication for pain hours ago , I've been stuck with a level 10 pain for the last 7 hours and they refuse to do anything until my next "scheduled" time for a pain pill , I guess the thought there may be a new or worsening problem is a foreign idea. The food is horrible as well , who serves cooked broccoli intentionally cold ? Rest of the culinary crap is terrible as well.

My husband, Michael Kane, spent 49 days at Beachside, receiving daily IV Antibiotics for his acute Sepis infection, and 6-days-a-week P.T. and O.T. for his depleted physical condition from the body-wide infection. We felt his nursing and physical/occupational therapy care there was consistently excellent - so importantly both competent and caring. We found all the staff there, from Reception to the management and medical professionals, including the Nursing Aides, to be courteous and hard-working with very few exceptions to that experience. We heartily thank Beachside and offer our appreciation and four stars to that care. On the other hand, we give two stars to the owners' indifference to the food quality, which needs serious improvement, and to their inattention to the tired furnishings in the public spaces including the central Courtyard, which could easily be a well-maintained, restful place for both residents and staff, but is, instead, a neglected, uncomfortable experience. friendly and competent

This facility is very dated and is in need of updating. Floors are in need of repair. Ceiling tiles are old and need replacing On a scale of 1 to 10 the food is about a 3 They are very understaffed but are very friendly and helpful when u do need something. The director is very accommodating when u have personal concerns about your loved ones.

This is the second relative to reside at this facility. The staff are beyond kind and friendly. Both relatives have reported that since they must be in a rehab facility, Beachside is their preference. Neither have families in that area, so visiting family have to drive from Daytona and DeLand. We don’t mind because we know that our loved ones are receiving great care from the incredible staff of Beachside. Thank you for all that you do.

I would not recommend this facility. They barely feed their residents and fruits and vegetables are very scarce! Food arrives late and COLD. Breakfast many times is a small cold egg and cold bacon. No toast, juice or milk! Nursing staff seems to be kind and caring, therapy is the best asset in this place. I was lied to by the administration of this place and they kept my loved one way longer than needed. Trying to get a care plan meeting or someone to call you back is near impossible! This place is clearly about the money and NOT about the care of their patients. Please do your research, Assisted Living Made Simple is the BEST phone call you will ever make! Highly recommend Rose and her associates!

My cousin was recently there for rehab. She was having a hard time adjusting. She keeps speaking highly of a nurse named Celina. I was on the phone with her while she was there when this nurse came in and I heard the interaction. Celina treats Mary with respect. She explained the medication she was getting and even apologized for interrupting the call. She had a very bubbly distinct country accent. Mary then complimented Celina and Celina replied "it is my pleasure". Why can't more nurses be like that? Celina even informed Mary that she would be off the next two days and hopes she has a wonderful day. I wish I could personally thank Celina for the calm and reassurance she delivers to Mary. Beachside did well by hiring Celina. She is a wonderful nurse.

We have trouble getting answers about my mom's test results. One day it's good, the next no one checks on her for hours. I ask the night nurse questions and she says she is too busy and never gives me the info I need. Mom is type 2 diabetic and I can't get them to check her blood sugar. There is alot of room for improvement. I make sure to go one or 2 times a day

Masks only work if people are within a couple of yards and then go their opposite ways. They don't work when people pass each other. So maybe people should hold their breaths when they pass others and not use masks at all since they are very dirty from touching them with hands.

I was a patient at Beachside Center and Rehab Facility for several weeks with a broken back. My husband was also a patient there and is still in rehab now. We both have received excellent care from all the staff - nurses and aides alike - and all the outstanding Physical and Occupational Therapists as well. But there is one nurse in particular who stands out from the rest. Her name is Jeanine White. She was and is the most dedicated, helpful, thoughtful, caring, loving and attentive, hardworking person who goes above and beyond for her patients who are fortunate enough to be under her care. She also excels as a wound care specialist who was responsible for the quick healing of my husbands very nasty wounds. There are not enough glowing words to describe her. In addition to showing compassion when you are in pain, she'll make you laugh with her jokes and antics so that you are actually able to forget about your pain for a while. No matter how busy she is she'll always have time for a hug. She loves her work and is unquestionably devoted to taking care of patients making them feel better and watching them heal and get better, and it shows in everything she does, including having the staff under her live up to the same high standards of care as she does herself. I would not hesitate to recommend Beachside Center to anyone in need of rehab or nursing care and it's excellent staff of nurses and aides, and hopefully you may even get Jeanine and her crew to take care of you.

My dear friend is on the 2nd floor in rehab. It was a Sunday morning, so it was quiet, but patients and staff were moving around. My friend looked great and was in great spirits. Two staff people took the initiative to introduce themselves to me! Facility is very clean and staff very helpful! Better yet, my friend feels she is getting great service and care. We had a great visit!

Our 93 year old Mom broke her femur on Thursday, surgery on Friday, in Beachside on Tuesday!!!! When asked by hospital which Rehab facility’ we panicked!! Doctor mentions Beachside. Some family members Googled’ it (sorry Google!!) but SOME reviews were bad. My husband said let’s us go see for ourselves’. We met with Kim in Admitting - DONE!! She was honest, a joy to talk with, after the walk around’ it was evident there was an air of care’ so evident we knew Momma would be here. We are only two (2) days in, the HOSPITALIST said today I would say I’ll see you in three weeks but I don’t think you’ll be here!!! Kim told us they were working on food service..yes, it needs work HOWEVER , they’ve made it clear they will accommodate when needed. Yes, it’s an older building, but we’ve had friends in much newer surroundings with far less compassion and concern. Beachside is highly recommended by Mrs Sarah’s family.

My nephew, Richard Brault, is a patient at your facility. I drove from Rhode Island to see him. I was very anxious and apprehensive about this visit! I could not have been more pleased with your facility and the level of care that he is receiving!!! Everyone I encountered treated myself and my nephew with the utmost courtesy and respect. This facility is clean and calm. There are 4 people who are AMAZING in this facility. Jessica, she is a nurse on the 600 hall. Does her job above and beyond! Drucilla, stands strong in what needs to be done especially on behalf of the resident and family. Janine, also on the 600 hall. Jeanine is always busy doing her work and being kind and calming and loving to everyone she meets! I have seen her hug, laugh, joke and CARE for everyone around her! She is efficient and loving, just exactly what a nurse should be! Rowena is so nice and when she comes in to be with my mom she always cleans first thing! She is sweet to my mom! I wanted to write this review for Jeanine White, the nurse at Beachside Rehab Center that cared for my Mom. She was the lead nurse while my Mom was in rehab there for a couple of weeks! She was so caring, attentive and followed through with everything we had asked! She was so hard working, competent, and truly cared for my mom and all the other people in her care! She made sure that everyone was doing their job, and made my Moms visit there a good one! I also want to tell you that Kayla, who also cared for my mom during her stay there was so very kind, made sure Mom was ok, had what she needed and was safe, she would bring her hot tea, as she knew mom enjoyed that!! No one wants to have a loved one in rehab, but the care they gave my mom was very good!

The CNA helped get me the direct phone number and showed dad to dial-9 first... very nice. PT starts tomorrow. Dinner was big salad, cornbread, covered hot meal (I didn't see that), chili, and fruit cup. Day 1 impression: much better than the last place.
