The moment I took the tour and started my conversation with Lilli, Marketing Director, I knew I was making the right choice. Moving Mom to Lexington Place has been one of the best decisions I've made since we started the journey with her dementia. The property is outstanding but what makes it special are the people that manages the place and take care of its residents. Just a few weeks into being there, our experience with the Memory Care facility has been truly special. My Mom has received the professional, kind care and attention she was needing and deserve. Having to admit that my sister needed more care than we were able to provide was gut wrenching. It's the decision no family ever wants to make. Speaking with Lily at Lexington Place greatly eased our minds. She was very patient and thorough in answering all our questions and took us on repeated tours of the facility until we felt comfortable. The place was immaculate. I even asked to use the restroom and found no dirt in the corners of the floor! But what really sold us was the staff. Everyone we encountered had a smile on their face and many staff members have been employed since the facility opened which speaks volumes. My sister has now been a resident of memory care for six months. She is very strong-willed and was a bit of a trial for the staff at first, but with their patience and kindness she has made the adjustment nicely. She always led a very social life and Lexington Place provides her with the opportunity to engage in activities and make new friends. Memory Care has only 22 rooms, so she gets plenty of attention from the staff also. We visit every week and the staff is always very welcoming. My sister never asks us to take her with us when we leave, which is such comfort. She is safe, well-fed, and seems happy in her surroundings. She is where she needs to be and we could ask for nothing more.

When you have a loved one with dementia, finding the right place for them isn’t just important, it’s everything. After touring 11 facilities, I thought I had made the right choice somewhere else. I was wrong. The year my mother-in-law spent there was heartbreaking, and by the time I was finally able to move her, I was exhausted, worried, and desperate for real care. From my very first phone call with Lilli, The marketing director at Lexington Place, I felt something I hadn’t felt in a long time…hope. Even before my mother-in-law moved in, Lili Listened patiently while I shared my frustrations about the care she was getting elsewhere. She didn’t rush me, she didn’t make me feel like a burden…she understood. That compassion is woven into every part of Lexington Place. My mother-in-law now receives what I can only describe as gold standard care. Amanda, the wellness director, sets the tone for excellence. The staff is beyond exceptional. Mick and Dawn, two of the incredible nurses, go above and beyond daily treating her like family, engaging her ways that make her light up, and always showing respect. Dawn Even brings in her sweet dog, Gigi, For pet therapy. On several occasions, Gigi has curled up next to my mother-in-law or in her lap when she’s been sad or disoriented, comforting her in a way nothing else could. Those moments have been a lifeline for her. The whole team here— Nurses, aids, front office— Are always kind, smiling, and truly invested in their residents (Miranda, Sharon, Judy, Sam and so many others, all of whom I’ve grown to appreciate and respect). If there’s a concern, I get a call right away, and by evening it’s already addressed. They even check on her during the night to make sure she’s safe and dry (Which I realize now is standard, but this was not being done at her previous facility). She’s thriving here, happy, engaged, and cared for in every way. The peace of mind Lexington Place has given me and my family is priceless. I can finally sleep at night knowing she’s safe, loved, and surrounded by people who see her as more than just a resident. They see her as family.

I cannot say enough good things about this facility. After it became evident that my grandmother could no longer safely remain in her home alone we started the search and toured local assisted living facilities in New Smyrna and Port Orange. Lexington was the first because it was one of the closest to my home. After tourIng other facilities there were key differences that stuck out in mind that told me Lexington place was where my grandmother needed to be. First, the facility itself is beautiful and the one thing that other facilities did not have was happy staff. The employees all had smiles on their face at Lexington place which I did not see anywhere else . After moving my grandmother in we got to know a lot of the team. The employees there were so caring and treated gram like family. It was such a relief to know my grandmother would be safe and treated the way she deserved. My grandmother is no longer with us but I want to thank Lexington place for all the compassion, love, and care they showed my grandmother. She spent her last days at Lexington Place and it blew me away to see staff genuinely tearful saying their goodbyes which is a testament to how they feel about the residents and compassion they have. Well done Lexington!

An Excellent Experience! Caring and Thoughtful Custodians of My Mother Pre-Relocation Assessment Lexington Place checked all the boxes we required to ensure my mother’s new apartment met all our needs. Lily, the Marketing Director, was fantastic. She walked me through everything, and after touring the facility, we were convinced this was the place for us. One Month In My mother has been at Lexington for one month and has easily adjusted to the new accommodation. From day one, she was dining in the dining room, which is fantastic. The weekly laundry and deep cleaning of her apartment have been excellent. She is thrilled with the resources that help her daily. We have moved all her care in-house, including her GP, podiatrist, audiologist, pharmacy, and any medical tests that can be done on-site. We are now working to have all physical, occupational, and speech therapy conducted through their in-house resources. I consider Lexington Place New Smyrna a great hotel for its residents. The staff does their best to ensure residents maintain their independence for as long as possible. Thank you, Lexington Place NSB!

My sister was living in an assisted living facility in North Carolina. We wanted to move her to new Smyrna Beach to be closer to myself and my wife who live beachside NSB. We toured three places in NSB and one in Edgewater. All larger facilities I would say with at least 50 rooms and all offered memory care.. my sisters came down on vacation and and to take a look at the four places we had toured. My other sister is a caregiver. Second on the list was Lexington Place, and Lilli Hawtree the marketing Director, gave us our tour. And what a tour! It checked all the boxes. Needless to say we canceled the remaining assisted living facilities on our list. We all gave five stars to facility construction, room presentation, staff professionalism and friendliness, Dining facility and menu. My sister has now been living at Lexington Place for about three weeks and it’s the happiest I’ve seen her in quite a while. We are so relieved. Lexington Place is amazing! Not sure which is best … the staff, the attention to our Father, the food, or many other special “extra” things they do (musicians, magicians, movies, etc. etc.)! The facility is clean, new, quiet & warmly accented. My siblings, my Father & I went through the decision to move him in together. We had no previous experience and Lexington Place made it easy and did not pressure us, at all. They understand how difficult the decision is and made it their job to completely know & understand our Father & situation, first. Just amazing. I could go on and on but want to mention that the residents, too are all very nice and welcomed our Father (just like the staff). With their help, as a going-on 2-year resident at LP, Dad has regained much of the physical and mental independence he lost after the death of my mother/his wife and after a life-changing fall. Lexington is a great place! My mom has been here for about a year now, because of her needs she required a bit more care than I felt she could receive at her previous facility. The biggest plus for me was that she wears her call button and is able to call for assistance anywhere in the building, the care team is alerted via their phone. Whenever I call it is pretty easy to speak with her care partner for that day which is a huge plus. There is a very helpful nurse there every day which is also a huge bonus. Mom loves the dining room where she can order off the menu, have guests and feel like she is dining out. No place is 100 percent perfect all the time and occasionally things have to be addressed, they are always accommodating and they work with me (I am there a lot) Mom loves to play bingo and a dice game they have in activities, She is 93 and in a wheelchair and not as active as most of the residents who go on some cool outings (day cruise coming up) Her room is a good sized one bedroom which we call her tiny house apt. We are glad that we chose Lexington.

Memory Care what a frightening word. These words spoken by my fathers Doctor made my heart icy over and I felt intensely ill. Giving up that’s what I felt. I was going to abandon a man who created me and gave me a life of unconditional love and support to strangers. Balancing guilty against safety is not easy. I made the hard choice of starting to find a facility for my Dad. My neighbor suggested Lexington Place and I made the call with much trepidation. After speaking with Leighann LaRowe I felt as a weight was lifted of my shoulders and the ice started to melt around my heart. She was so professional yet I felt the compassion and understanding. Lexington Place is nothing short of 5 stars. There receptionist was very welcoming when I came in to tour, and right when I walked in it smelt of homemade cookies. She offered me a drink and I almost felt like I was at home. On my tour I was shown the activity center, that also features movie theatre chairs! A beautiful courtyard with raised planter beds for their garden club (perfect for my mom), fitness center and spa. The staff were all friendly and the residents were all laughing and having a good time. If you are looking for a great place for your parents, go to Lexington Place!
