I had an opportunity to do a tour at Discovery Village in December 2023. I was met by Alyssa Monning, Director of Sales. She was so warm and welcoming. She exuded joy. I loved listening to her tell me about this amazing community. She was so passionate and I could tell she truly believes in this community and the lifestyle that it offers people. What was amazing was that there was a Christmas craft sale going on. It was a joy to see the residents engaging and having a wonderful time. The facility was very clean. Staff were all pleasant and seemed very happy. I stayed for lunch and the food was outstanding. 5 star! I will definitely refer my clients and others to Alyssa and Discovery Village!

When I walked into Discovery Village in Naples this morning, I did not realize I would walk out a resident. Your facility is above anything else I have visited, from the amenities to the cost. I signed up with Denise McGowan for a two-bedroom apartment. Denise was as professional as any agent with whom I have ever interacted. Her very high level of professionalism is what helped me make my decision. She explained all costs, amenities, and other aspects of Discovery Village with clarity and in a most knowledgeable way. Little wonder I signed for the apartment on the spot! Our initial familiarization with D.V. was from Steve and Beth Schoof who moved here about 1 1/2 years ago. Their enthusiasm peeked our interest. We then visited D.V. on two occasions with a women's group from our church. Denise hosted both events and we were impressed with the way she represented the Village - informative, professional and not "pushy". After our second visit we expressed interest in learning more about the facility. Within a week, Denise followed up with a phone call and we set up an appointment to discuss particulars. When we signed up, Denise was very thorough going through the admission process - and tutorial as she was also coaching Christine. Since moving in, Denise continues to show her passion for D.V. by inviting us to host a housewarming event with prospective residents. We are open to recommending D.V. largely because of the professionalism shown by staff (Denise in particular) and friendliness of other residents.

First of all... 5 stars to Zilma Chinkoyo at Discovery Village Assisted Living. Our journey started with her help. At Discovery, we loved the concept of the whole layout of the building and easy access to all the activities and dining area...this is what attracted us to Discovery. Other places have the apartments not attached to the dinning, club house or activity center. My mom would never have been able to walk outside to get to a dining room in the heat or on rainy days. But at Discovery, all is under one roof, you just go down an elevator and down the hall to all activities and dining without having to go outside. As for the attention from staff, they were there always attentive at a reasonable time. No complaints there. Activities, rides to Publix, etc again, no complaints!! They also have Doctors and nurses on staff. Everything that was discussed during our tour and signing up all came true. I have never been more grateful to have met the one person who really made a difference and made our decision easy and that was Zilma Chinkoyo Without her guidance I would not have been able to make all the decisions I had to make. She was a great listener which allowed her to help me each step of the way with my mother. I owe so much to her. She makes herself present especially during difficult times. Thank you Discovery Village and staff. You will forever be in my heart and with this great experience, you will have a second generation (me) as full time resident one day....I know that is your goal, and if it isn't, it should be, I'm there. I only pray that I can convince family and friends to also consider Discovery Village. Love you all...xoxoxoxoxoxoxo

My parents moved into DV Independent living apartments and they love it! The staff did such an awesome job taking care of the residents during the recent hurricane Ian. They voluntarily moved the furniture off of there patio and made sure the residents had food everyday and they never lost power. My parents felt very safe throughout the storm. It is a great place with good activities.

I came to Discovery Village Assisted Living in May of 2020, I do feel that administration listens to our concerns and I feel fortunate to have staff that have a serious commitment to service excellence and demonstrate a caring attitude towards the residents. We have an active celebrations and recreations department bringing internal and external opportunities. We are fortunate to have a fine chef who is innovative and provides us with a menu that is appetizing and healthy. All of the ancillary staff, drivers, concierges, nurses, caregivers, housekeepers, and the management departments are all committed to a high level of care in meeting residents needs.

Discovery Village is a wonderfully designed independent close knit community, and the very caring professional staff in my experience make the difference to all who live there. My Thanksgiving Dinner was excellent and I truly compared my dinner and service to a 2018 Thanksgiving Day Birthday trip to NYC and my West Village dinner. I was so impressed with Discovery Village that I personally thanked the two chefs and my two servers. This Village is one of the best new total retirement Communities in Naples, and will be my number one choice in a couple of years. I have looked around in my pre-planning phase, and my educated due diligence has selected Discovery Village. I am a single Aerospace Engineer, LtCol USAF Retired, and the caring secure friendly feeling is what I have been looking for. Thank you Discovery Village for my personal Tour and wonderful invite to fully enjoy my Thanksgiving dinner with your Community. I can honestly say you will be my total retirement choice in Naples.

My father has been in Discovery Village about a month and a half. His apartment is beautiful, clean, (thanks to the cleaning gals) and very spacious with all the comforts of home. For that i would give 5 stars!!!!. Staff has been helpful addressing his needs as well!! When he signed on the dotted line through Patty Scott, she told us that there was bocce ball and shuffleboard, and he likes to be very active so that sounded nice.... No bocce or shuffleboard !! Why was this told to us?? The food, wait staff and chef are way below average. All the residents are complaining. I have eaten with my dad on several occasions, lunch and dinner to observe what he is telling me about how bad things are in the dining room. Excruciatingly painful waiting for any service!! I have witnessed a group of ladies at dinner waiting almost 2 hrs to complete the meal, because the kitchenstaff is lacking training, andor help. Just last night my husband and i joined my dad for dinner. Dad ordered 2 pieces of salmon because portions are so small, and it was brought with hard inedible roll, (asked for butter, but nothing was ever brought), my husband and i ordered a simple cheeseburger with potatoes. Cold burger came with a cold almost frozen bun, no melted cheese on our burgers, so the waiter brought two pieces of cheese on a plate, (yuk).. took 20 minutes to get ketchup, (so now the burgers and potatoes are really cold) and husband asked for a regular coke and twice was given diet cokes. We didnt order the special lemon chicken because the last time we ordered it , it was hard rubbery, and inedible. I felt terrible for the ladies eating next to us, they asked for pepper and condiments several times and nothing was brought to them. Just simply forgotten and ignored!! One lady received her meal 15 minutes after her friends all had theirs (she only ordered eggs) after they all sat for over an hour after they finished their soup waiting for the entree. The best part of the meal was choc mousse for dessert!! The poor group of ladies next to us couldnt sit or wait any longer than 2 hrs to even enjoy that dessert!!! There were so many times i just wanted to go to the kitchen and get the simple items that all the residents around me were asking for. It drove me nuts to watch them being ignored, and most of the residents are too polite to keep asking over and over again, or they just are too tired to deal with it. I heard that the board is also receiving many many complaints about the food, and wait staff. This is NOT a cheap place, (over 4k a month), one of the most expensive in Naples to live and the standards of the kitchen should be MUCH higher. Very disappointed so far. Perhaps it is like this everywhere??? I just dont know.

Ill start this review by saying that in the last 12 months, discovery has made MAJOR strides to ensure adequate staffing, additional training, and faster response times. We recently had to place an elderly loved one into assisted living. After placing her at another home here in Naples, she had not one but TWO falls. We realized we needed top notch care for her 247 that the other home could not provide. Fast forward to meeting with Gina, from discovery. From the moment we began to work with Gina, she showed what a stellar asset she is. When we discussed all our fears and worries, she took action to ensure we were at ease. For example, we know our loved one will still try to lift herself out of her bed, and is prone to falling. Gina suggested we get a special thick mat to place near the bed Incase our loved one goes rouge and tries to get up herself. It was the detail Gina puts into her work that really set her apart. Because our loved one has memory issues, we placed her in memory care. Emma, the head of administration, is an angel sent from heaven. She is knowledgeable, (future RN!) kind, innovative and compassionate. She personally provided her cell number to us! Her desire to go above and beyond in every interaction is notable. She is the gem of the staff and we are so delighted to have met her. Move in day was quick and easy (with movers!) and the staff was very accommodating. From A-Z this place has everything covered. I understand the previous reviewer concerns, but discovery has obviously made an enormous effort to rectify any previous discrepancies with staffing and care.

I take pride in what I have done for Discovery residents and will continue to work to give them the best of care. The staff at Discovery Village are wonderful. Everyone there has gone out of their way to make my wifes transition easy, and to make her feel welcome and cared for. This caring and welcoming attitude is evident throughout the facility; from the Administrative Staff to Nursing and Housekeeping; as well as from the other Residents. The Maintenance Staff has been especially helpful in tailoring her apartment to her particular needs; and there are many activities to keep the Residents engaged. I recently contacted the Sales Director, Gina Weiley at Discovery Village to inquire about services for my parents. She got back to me very quickly, gave me a very informative overview on the phone and we scheduled an appointment for me to see the facility. Upon my visit, the friendly receptionist was expecting me and Gina came out within 2 minutes. She gave me a tour of the facility and all the amenities and services as well as showing me a model apartment. It was a very thorough tour. Gina was able to answer all my questions and she greeted residents as we toured, and she was very informed the various levels of service and costs and floor plans. Residents seemed happy, and the place was immaculate. I will definitely bring my parents for a tour.

The facility is beautiful with small apartments, a beautiful dining area, open lobby with bar, game room, movie theater, indoor pool, ice cream parlor. Beautiful facility with lots of services. Sits between Marco Island and Naples so close to both types of activities for family and friends who want to visit. The Lely resort is 1.3 miles away with wonderful accommodations available along with golf, pool, athletic facility, etc....
