Feb 2024 Update Much further down the road and Mom still doing well. What keeps her happy are all the employees who interact daily with the residents. Specifically Vicki, Auria and Grace but so many other the dining and kitchen staff med techs and nurses, housekeeping all the folks who rarely get thanks please know how invaluable your kindness is to families of the people you share your best with. Mom moved into Grand Villa of Melbourne this year, many options in the area but, love the way she is treated here. I know it's not the local leadership driving this project so this message is for corporate, get that pool area remodel going!! Local staff and leadership thanks for your decency and kindness not an easy life situation to navigate. Thanks Grand Villa caregivers and staff.

Walking through the automatic glass sliding doors felt like walking into a vacation home. Mom has thrived in only one month of living at Harborside @Melbourne. Her health and mental well-being is back to her normal. The staff is kind, caring and helpful. Everyone is treated with respect. Many of the daily activities are inclusive and thoughtful in that the residents enjoy being part of them. So blessed to call Harborside at Melbourne a home for both mom and me.

I have worked for this company for four years and it is honestly such an amazing company to work for not only do they take care of their employees they make sure to provide our residents with a beautiful, active life. It has been so fulfilling to get to work with the residents, their families as well as my coworkers. I can not wait to see what my future within this company holds. I can honestly say if my mother needed an ALF i would not hesitate to bring her to Grand Villa of Melbourne with peace of mind that she would be taken care of and treated with love. Their motto says it all, "Looks like home. Feels like family". The facility is very nice and the staff really cares about their residents. I am treated like family whenever I call or visit my mother. More importantly, she likes living there, is well cared for and is happy.

My grandmother seems to like it here. Although the rooms are so small and outdated. Everyone has been nice when I'm there. However, it is very frustrating that if you take a family member out and come back after 7pm no one is there to let them in. We stood outside waiting for 35 minutes buzzing and trying to call the office as well as banging on the windows. Finally a resident let them in as it was getting so frustrating. Need a new system as it was not only my grandmother, but 2 others outside. It is hot in Florida and leaving older people outside in the heat to wait is awful.

Grand villa has taken such good care of my mom this past year. They have so many activities and events that keep the residents engaged and very happy. This is so important. My first visit to see family was the first time I had entered the facility due to Covid. I wanted to make sure that everyone had their vaccines before visiting because I enter the local Jail regularly for work. The facilities cleanliness and overall beauty impressed me. The receptionist was helpful during check in and explained the rules of the visit. I am pleased that my relative is in the facility.

I have had the pleasure of working with these wonderful, family driven professionals since they open the doors, and I have always appreciated the way they operate. The staff is always smiling and the residents, including some of our clients, that have chosen Grand villa as their new home are very happy. As a senior care professional and an advocate, I understand that there will be some hiccups in any transition, but it is how those hiccups are handled that make all the difference. They will always do what is best for the residents... and that is all we can ask for.

My mother had needed to live in ALFs for over 10 years, despite her young age. When moving to Florida, we tried a small, house based ALF, and she just sat in her room, no engagement, and the staff werent happy there. We moved Mom to Grand Villa over a year ago, and she THRIVED! The staff quickly got to know her, and she DID become like family! I highly recommend Grand Villa to anyone! Thank you for your genuine care!

My mom has lived in 3 assisted living facilities over the past 5 years or so. Mom and I have never been as happy and content as we have with grand villa of Melbourne. We can feel the caring and well being taking care of by all staff . You can rest assured that your loved one is in best care possible in every aspect from room cleaning laundry meals CNA care entertainment and physical therapy etc. Words cant express my thanks to all at Grand Villa.

8/19 I am my sisters POA. She has been at Grand Villa Melbourne since 2012. She has dementia, no local relatives or friends. Unfortunately no visitors for the last couple of years. I live in California and am unable to travel, so obviously the staff is my lifeline to her. In the past I must say communication has been hit or miss, ie. waiting for a return call for over a week, etc. Please note I have always felt she has been in good hands there. Since Nina Corsi has been executive director Ive been group e-mailed regarding events, new hires and the like. Before, the communication would be about the holiday party for staff in December, which is fine, but not satisfactory. I thank her. The most recent resident care director, Kerri Breitner, has helped me enormously in the last couple of weeks as Ive had issues with my sister. Kerri has been professional and kind and I appreciate her helping me in a timely manner. One of the needs was to get a new visiting doctor, which we did. Her office called, introduced themselves, saw my sister and asked my opinion regarding her health. No other doctor has done that in the past. Needless to say I am very pleased. Thank you everyone.

My mother has been a resident at Grand Villa for a few years now. When it came time to move her into their Memory Care unit, the staff were very accommodating and helpful. She gets plenty of personal attention. I've gotten to know the staff as we've worked together to smooth my mother's transition to Memory Care, and I have found them easy to work with and genuinely concerned for Mom's welfare. The facility itself is beautiful, and my mother loves it there!

My Mom started here at Melbourne- then we moved to Deland and moved Mom with us- they were so wonderful the year she was there- and was so helpful when we transferred mom- she did start out in assisted but did move to memory later on- I can not say enough about the whole concept of Grand Villas-

I highly recommend Grand Villa, the staff there are amazing! Nina the executive director truly is a is an angel! The kindness and compassion she had with my very non compliant father just amazed me! Nina helped me find a great place for my father that she felt would be better for his special needs! Vinny helped us with my dad when he moved into a Grand Villa and remained a part of my Fathers daily experience, the food is wonderful, the dining staff goes above and beyond to make sure each resident is satisfied

My mother in law has been in the memory care unit for just over a year now. Where she is tells us that we can not count on what she says. Family has gone in unannounced many times during the past year +. She is always clean. Her room is clean. Of course she wants out and to go back home. However, she is where she needs to be with 24 hour care. A place where they will help them with the day to day needs she has. When she was staying with us for a short time it took 3 of us to make sure her day to day needs were met. When it was settled we knew where to take her as we had visited the other side of Grand Villa the year before. They have nice holiday get gatherings. They provide a meal 2 different days for Thanksgiving. Then one at Christmas time as well. Seems like they have many activities during the day to keep them busy. The only draw back is the room seems small. For sure the one area that needs improvement is the calling in. Takes a long time sometimes for the operator for lack of better word answers. Then they transfer you and it again takes for ever. Memory should have their own number to call in to. Leave a voicemail if they do not answer. But check the messages at least every hour.

My mother has been a resident at Grand Villa for almost 2 years. I cant speak more highly of the majority of the staff. My husband & I are at Grand Villa about 3 times a week. The receptionist has become like a family member to us. It is very reassuring if we have a need with our mom that I can make a phone call & know that it will be taken care of by the receptionist. We are grateful to the staff for treating my mom with care & respect. It isnt an easy decision to place your loved one in an ALF but Grand Villa was very helpful with the transition.

My Father Loved and enjoyed his last years there at Grand Villa. He would always tell me how "Grand" it was there! He loved the wonderful care he received and absolutely Loved the delicious food (so did we!) and he loved playing their baby grand piano and having his friends gather around singing old songs that brought everyone smiles. Have to say the grand villa new Alzheimer's building is fantastic. State of the art design with all the new technology to help seniors w Alzheimer's. A computer system which helps the staff with medication management, it even alarms management if the staff doesn't give a medication, they also have motion sensor in each room to alert the staff if someone gets up in the middle of the night, the system also turns on the lights so they won't trip on something. The caring staff was so friendly and truly engaged with the seniors. This is a must see community I'm glad to know Melbourne has this type of care. Looking to move my wife's uncle there when we can't care for him.

My Mom moved into Grand Villa a year ago. The day that we toured the facility we were made so welcome that both Mom and I knew that this was the place to be. The administration and marketing staff were extremely helpful, informative, courteous and understanding to our needs. Most importantly they made my Mom feel special. The facility is clean and well kept and the food is really good. If there were any issues that needed to be addressed they were in a timely manner. Just the other day when Mom and I were discussing the fact that she is there a year already, my Mom said "I really love it here." That in itself made me very happy and comfortable that I made the best choice of facility for her. I've been recommending the Grand Villa to everyone who is in need of a care facility for their parent(s).
