So far, since Aug of 2025 up to April 5 I have had an overall positive experience at Greenwood Place. Staff will work with you when needed & physical therapy is provided on site. It really helped me with rehabbing my left hip my 1st 4 months here. I am walking much better now & I participate in most of the activities provided. Almost every day, I compliment the chefs & other kichen staff on how good the food is overall. They listen & take suggestions. I give the cooking staff, the serving staff, nursing staff, medication admin staff & all other techs who work in direct contact with me & my fellow residents a 4.90 star rating. And not to omit the first point of contact upon entering Greenwood Place is the front desk staff who answer any questions we have. Last, but not least, the administration staff is very knowlegible & helpful with any questions, needs or concerns we may have. I would highly recommend Greenwood Place to anyone seeking care for an elderly family member. They will be well cared for.

My father was a resident there until his recent passing. I cannot say enough good things about the staff and the care they provided. The director and the head nurse were so compassionate and supportive, especially near the end when his passing was imminent. The place is clean, the staff attentive, friendly and caring. Monthly fee was very reasonable. Highly recommend.

Greenwood Assisted Living did an above excellent job at taking care of my Mom and Dad. Every staff member is very professional and trained to care for the elderly. I am very please with the honestly, integrity, and bedside manner of each staff member. The food is delicious, the activities are fun, the medical care and medication management is superior. If you are looking for a top notch Assisted Living Facility, this is the place.

We are very Happy that our relative is a Greenwood Place resident. She started there using the Respite Room which was a wonderful transition from re-hab and after recognizing that going back home wasn’t the best option, we convinced her to stay on and it has been such a blessing. The entire team under Leon Frasier’s leadership is fantastic from the happy to greet you receptionists when you come in, the support team, the medical team, social coordinator and definitely Chef Randy and his team too! Recently our relative fell and broke her wrist and Bree and Sherri responded immediately with the call button and coordinated the emergency response team and had her heading to the hospital within moments with all of her records and essential information. We were really grateful and couldn’t wait to get her back to Greenwood Place where she’s secure, cared for and taken care of. It truly is a very nice place with loving and caring people who threat our relative so very well.

Couldn’t find a better place for my stepmom To be living! From the Nurses, Administrators….. ALL personnel could not be nicer..(you know who you are)! Always helpful and kind to everyone … from visitors to residents.. Hopefully the facility will still be there when I need a comfortable, pleasant place to live!

If you are looking for the perfect mid-size assisted living with amazing staff, fantastic food, and ongoing activities LOOK NO MORE! I have worked with the staff at Greenwood Place through my position with Soter Senior Living and Family Advocates for quite a while now and hands down this is one of my absolute favorite buildings to tour families looking to place a loved one. From Cynthia the ED, to Kristian in marketing, to Karla in activities, to Nadine in nursing, to Gifford the head chef.. You are in the BEST hands when you move into Greenwood Place. You will feel at home the second you walk in the door.. And the recent remodel and updates throughout make it that much better. It is calm, cozy, inviting.. You become a part of the extended Greenwood family. I cannot rave enough about how amazing it is there!

I had the opportunity to meet with and present a Health Care Hero's Award to this amazing team who's passion for their community and it's members shows. The way they have kept their residents safe and well through out this COVID experience speaks volumes. While the community is going through a cosmetic revamp the character of the leaders who run and manage the care of the residents gives you that "There's no place like home feel". The smiles of the residents speaks volumes! Great Job Greenwood Place Assisted Living.

When you walk into Greenwood it just has a warm, happy feeling like home. The staff, especially Cynthia Cooler, the Executive Director, are wonderful and go above and beyond for their residents and families. Would recommend this community to anyone looking for an Assisted Living!

I want to comment that the criticism from Ruthy Mailbox is 4 years old. I was surprised it was so negative. My parents have been at Greenwood Place for 10 years, and we have been pleased with their care. Every director has had an open-door policy, and we have always been welcome to share any complaints or concerns. The current director, Cynthia, is very personable and transparent. My entire family is very grateful for her leadership. In any large organization such as Greenwood Place, there are bound to be issues. That is a given, and people need to understand that. But when we have seen weaknesses or difficulties, we have spoken to head of nursing or the director herself, and they have been open to our suggestions and have worked very hard to correct the issue. Taking care of the elderly is a challenging job, and on any given day, yes, staff members can appear tired or overwhelmed. (This is true in ANY job.) But, my parents have always been treated well and been loved on. We have never seen any staff member be harsh or unkind to any resident, and as I said, we have been involved with Greenwood Place for 10 years. I commend all the workers for their efforts. I stop by often to check on my folks, and I feel we are a team. The resident aides know my parents very well, and I feel the aides go out of their way to accommodate them as much as possible. My folks can be difficult at times, and the staff members have continued their kind approach regardless. I would suggest to any family member who is unhappy - talk to the director, stop by more often, and educate yourself on Assisted Living jobs and the challenges they present. The activities director at GP, Karla, is great! She is enthusiastic and creative and we appreciate all she does for the residents. The food is NOT awful, as someone commented - it is very good and varied. I think chef Randy is superb. Greenwood Place has a Sunday brunch buffet once a month that is excellent! I am grateful for ALL the workers at Greenwood Place!

My relative is really enjoying the new Greenwood Place. She enjoys the many onsite and offsite activities and speaks often of the many meal choices offered during her daily dining. The staff is very caring and the residents are their top priority. The recent interior design upgrades have added to the comfort, warmth and style for conversing with other residents in the open areas. My family and I have had the pleasure of joining my relative during holiday dining at Greenwood place and it is always a delicious and delightful experience. I would recommend Greenwood Place for anyone looking to provide their loved one with a safe and caring senior living community within Brevard County.

I highly recommend Greenwood Place as a senior living facility. I am a therapist who frequently treats residents of Greenwood and the level of resident care, staff communication is outstanding. We've had to place a family member here for a short time while their house is being repaired. I am very pleased with the staff that I have met. All it takes is a smile and a little conversation to get a smile in return. Although I've not visited other facilities this place is reasonably clean and orderly. There are no foul odors and no messes. The lobby is pleasant with very nice music playing that would be pleasing to an elderly population. I often see groups sitting together chatting or playing card games. Although I would say that the meals leave something to be desired it is not inedible. This is something that the facility should work on improving. As far as entertainment or activities there are some but I'm not aware of the quality of the activities. My family has been well taken care of while here and I would be pleased to recommend this place to others.
