My mom was in Margate Manor from October thru May. While she was there she was cared for by staff that was concerned for her health, safety, and welfare. She received excellent meals, care by great doctors, and encouragement by concerned staff. I would highly recommend Margate Manor to anyone looking for an assisted living facility.

One of the many wonderful things about Margate Manor is that it was an old hotel and still has some of the amenities. Some rooms have a lake view and the building has a common dining area. The reception desk now serves as the welcoming - nursing station and the area is relaxed and unobtrusive. The administrator, nursing staff to everyone in between are friendly, calming and very reassuring. Visiting is easy. It also does not matter if you come announced or unannounced, you will find everything the same. The rooms and building are always very clean and they do not have a huge turnover in staff. The other amazing thing is the care is so good that the people who reside there tend to live a very long time. I can sleep at night knowing that my father is in excellent hands! You really cannot put a price tag on that!

The folks at Margate Manor have exceeded my expectations and I am so happy I found this place for my mom!! Gary the administrator is GREAT! Any time I have questions he gets back to me within hours. Sheila the head nurse is awesome—she explains medical issues to me in lay terms. I love that the facility is of moderate size—the staff there get to know the residents one-on-one. All the staff are lovely, compassionate and very responsive to my mom needs. My mom has come to know and love them as family!

Nice small older community with spacious rooms, some have pretty lake view with porch and kitchens. Large bright dining area with chefs food very good and has variety. Small community so you don't get lost in shuffle and get more personal attention. Staff and management very caring and attentive and go out of their way to make it a home to their residents. They take care of laundry and all housekeeping needs.

I visited Margate Manor. I liked that there were staff there 24 hours a day. When we were there, they actually had a singer in the common area, and he was singing Frank Sinatra's songs. They had field trips. They went to the casino once in a while and they went on shopping. They took them to doctor's appointments. They could go to the movies, or they could just sit and watch movies there. They served 3 meals a day. They had laundry service, and they had people came in there to do some salon stuff. It is smaller and more intimate.

We seem to be happy there. it's a smaller place, so a little more intimate. The food is good. The staff and nurses are friendly, and good with the medications. It's an older building, but it's kept in working order.

We're pleased with how things have gone so far at Margate Manor! I feel like the administrator here really cares about the residents, he spent a lot of time with me learning about my loved one and where we were coming from. They really work with you here to make sure your loved one is receiving the kind of care that they need! They are a smaller community, and offer a very high degree of care and service for what they charge. It has really worked out well, and I am glad we found them!
