It has almost been 3 years of being an employee/management at lake house. I absolutely love working here. Love the residents and the staff here. I feel supported by my Executive Director Jessica, my Wellness Director Paige, Admin Coordinator Lakesha, and Activities Director Dorothy. We have a great team here at lake house and I am blessed to be apart of it.

My mother spent her last 2 years in Memory Care at The Lakehouse. It was the absolute best place for her. She was treated with care, love and respect. It wasn't an easy transition for her the first couple of weeks. She suffered from dementia and it got to the point where we couldn't care for her at home any longer. The staff helped her feel welcome and got her into a routine, which is important for people with Alzheimer's and dementia. She thrived in that environment. The Memory Care staff was amazing and treated the whole unit as a little family. She laughed, they hugged her and made it a point to get to know her as a person. They always made sure their day was filled with activities with things like music, puzzles, crafts, and fun themed events and holidays. Those who could, were taken for walks outside and small little field trips when possible. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and living situation for my mother. I can't thank the staff enough who cared for her and the administration who worked with me to make sure I was always updated and involved in her care. I would highly recommend The Lakehouse to anyone that needed a home for their loved one. It's a very hard decision for all when you have to turn the care of your loved one over to someone else. My mind was at peace, knowing that she was in a place that cared for her the way that I would have.

Update-9/16/24 I have been a resident at Lake House ALF for 8 wonderful years. Today I just want to call attention to Lakesha Baker, Administrative Assistant. Lakesha is like a hub on a wheel. Everything rolls around what she does everyday. Including the ability to make me laugh.

My mom and dad were residents of Lake House for a year and a half. Our experience with the staff has been wonderful. They are so caring and treated us like family. I would love to give a special shout out to Dorothy, their wonderful activities director, who is such a ray of sunshine and so good at her job. The residents absolutely love her! Delores and Paige, the wellness director, who work in the office assisting the residents with all of their needs. They were so helpful to our family and always went above and beyond to do whatever they could to assist us. Lakesha, who works at the front desk, always has a smile on her face and is very helpful and caring. She did many thoughtful things including making sure my parents never missed a meal when we had to leave for Drs appts. Haley, the director, was so instrumental in us being able to stay at Lake House and we could not have done it without her help. These ladies and others are a true blessing to Lake House. The property is beautiful, especially the screened room that looks out over the lake. My parents spent so many hours out there as it is so peaceful and quiet. It was their favorite spot. The food is really good and they are always celebrating something. The residents are treated like family which I really loved. I was so very sad to have to move my parents, as they were very happy there. Unfortunately, they needed a higher level of care due to advanced dementia so I had to place them in another facility. I will be forever grateful for their kindness and compassion. I would not hesitate to recommend Lake House to family and friends. They are the best!

Our mom has been at the Lake House for a little over a year now. We have been very pleased with the care she is receiving and the facility itself. They have lots of activities for residents to participate in, and the food is great. Our mom was a good cook and she has never complained about the food once! Trust me when I say, she'd complain. The staff have been caring and we feel relieved that mom is safe and happy.

Have spent my initial 2 months plus as a Resident at Lake House and have enjoyed my time here. As a Resident I am comfortable with my Room and Bath, the Employees are great with their duties led by Haley, Medical with Jessica and Delores,( who always have a minute to politely answer any question) Activities led by an energetic and excellent Director Dorothy, 3 meals served every day in the Dining Room by a good staff like Bianca, Tina, Nisha, ShanQuel, Cheyenne, Carolina, Carolyn, Danny, Gloria, Carleen and many others!! Yvette leads the Med-Tech staff.. There are many beautiful places to relax at times such as a spacious Lobby, a beautiful screened Patio out next to the Lake that borders Lake House... there you can admire many species of wildlife from Birds, Ducks, Egrets, Squirrels and other types.. The entire Lake House is kept in good shape by a three-some or more of Ladies working most everyday, Lake House is a wonderful place for a Family member to reside.. respectfully Bill Gribble sr

My mom lived at this facility for a short time before she passed away. I was a very active advocate for my mom and visited and helped the caregivers care for her two and three times a day. The facility is a bit worn and needs some freshening up. The halls and rug smell damp. The room rugs are very weary and dark. Bathrooms are roomy and nice. Food is excellent. Staff is at best mediocre. I feel the caregivers need more training and at times were lacking in expertise-there were some VERY caring girls there and then others not so much. My mother's arm was fractured by a caregiver. In another episode the staff transported my mother to a hospital without my knowledge when my mother was on hospice care, and I was her health proxy. The house doctor and his staff are horrible-I would highly recommend finding your own doctor. Also, they do not have individual mailboxes-mail is handed out by tenants. I would highly recommend getting a post office box because now that my mother has passed the post office will NOT change her address as it's noted as a business address. They are supposed to be forwarding all mail to me but as of this date I have not received one piece of mail-a bit concerning. As caregivers we entrust our loved ones with others and pay for it. I was very often on edge after a few of these episodes but if you advocate for your loved one as much as you can, they will be okay. Lakehouse has the potential to be better if the staff is managed a bit closer.

I have patients that come for rehab at my center from LAKEHOUSE ALF and they always say how nice it is to live there and the patients always want to return there. I have had great communication with the center as well when it comes to planning for a patients discharge to LAKEHOUSE.

I have my Aunt and my Brother at the Lake House. I can't say enough nice things about them. I put my Aunt in 2 years ago and my Brother a year ago. They both have been moved to memory care at the facility. The staff are very caring and watch after them very well. The facility is very clean and well run and the food is all fresh made using homemade ingredients. The owner even cooks when needed, she makes the best Carrot Cake. Great place.

Friday will be two years Mom has been a resident at The Lake House ALF and we are more than pleased with the facility. Pictured here is one of the staff dancing with her at her birthday party. One of the best perks is the screened room on the lake out back. Mom enjoys doing her daily devotional out there and on Memorial Day our family joined her out there for a lunch of burgers, hot dogs, beans, corn, potato salad…all you would expect. Of course there is no place like home but Arlene, Kelly and Lakesha do their best to make everyday a good day. If I had any suggestions it would be more Senior staff and activities in the evening and on weekends.

My friend has been at Lake House about 6 months and I visit often. It is a very clean family run ALF. with a home like caring environment. It's smaller size makes it easier for the residents to make friends and enjoy the activities. It is also a pet friendly ALF so residents are able to keep their beloved pets which also helps them feel comfortable in new surroundings..

As a home care nurse of more than 15 years, I have worked with many facilities. I find The Lakehouse to be one of the best facilities I’ve gone to. I have been going to The LakeHouse for almost 5 years now as a nurse and I can say from experience that the staff at the LakeHouse has always shown a great deal of love and caring for their residents. Working with the office staff has always been a good collaboration. The staff in the office know their patients very well and work well with our agency. Working in an assisted living facility is not always for everyone. You are working with a population that sometimes can be very frail and weak. it can be hard work at times. Especially in the climate of the last two years with the pandemic. I found that the LakeHouse staff was very concerned and protective of their residents throughout the pandemic. All in all I find The Lakehouse to be a wonderful facility.

This place is absolutely the BEST! The management team that I have come in contact with really knows their stuff! Jessica is the upmost efficient and gets stuff done! Any questions or concerns that I had she was on top of them and made sure that I was comfortable with leaving my grandfather there. Haley listened to all of my needs and really reassured me about meals, care, and overall availability that we had to him. He is a Vietnam vet that recently got his leg amputated and suffers with PTSD but she completely understood what care he needed and was attentive and sensitive to all of his needs. I'm 100000% comfortable with leaving my grandfather in good hands and the other staff that I met were super nice!

Excellent facility. Upon walking in for a tour I was immediately greeted by a staff member with a warm welcome all while residents were in the middle of a day filled with activities from what I was told. Live music happened to be going on at the time and the atmosphere was great. You can tell that the staff truly cares for everyone there and isn't just treating it like another job. Wouldn't hesitate allowing a family member to be cared for at this facility, not many can win you over off the first impression alone!

Our family was so happy to find such a loving place for our father! He loves all the staff and is so pleased to call The Lake House his new home, the activity director keeps everyone active lots of fun outings, he especially enjoys his time in the cafeteria socializing with friends. We would highly recommend The Lake House!

My Mother resides at Lake House. Before coming here we checked out several other ALF's and my Mom decided this one would be home. This is a Top Notch facility, not just because of the home type feel, but it is the entire experience. Michael, the director, goes over and beyond his duties, and his staff are absolutely fantastic and extremely accommodating. I am so happy for my mother, and I highly recommend this Assisted Living Facility.

Lake House, a family owned Assisted Living Facility is a happy place. After we placed our loved one in their care, we found that the residents, employees, management, and owners are happy. They place people, especially the residents first as it should be. From what I have seen, it is a well-run operation. If you call the facility at any time, you will get a friendly staff member on the line willing to handle your request. The daily activities for the residents are first class! Were happy we chose Lake House!

My father spent the last 2 years of his life here and went in kicking and screaming as he did not want to leave his home plus he wasnt the easiest to get along with. They made him welcome and his days enjoyable and once settled in he had only good things to say about the facility. I personally would recommend this place for someone you love, they were very professional and caring.

I do not understand the negative reviews of this facility. My father has been there for 2 1/2 years and is treated with the respect, kindness and dignity that he deserves. This facility is run by a mother and son who care. So much so that you have their personal cell phone Numbers to contact them 24 hours a day. The facility is beautifully decorated, the chefs are so accommodating, my father has to eat his food puréed, which is no fun for anybody, but they make his plate look appetizing. The facility is decorated for every occasion, and always looks so beautiful. Thanksgiving and Christmas all family members are invited for a five-star meal. And a Christmas tree and gifts are given to every single resident by the owners. There is a resident Council every month, When issues can be adressed if there are any.The staff are more than willing to help in any possible way they can. My fathers been there for 2 1-2 years. Its run by a mother and son. My father has always been treated as if he is part of their family. I wouldnt have my father live anywhere else.I highly recommend Lake House. For too many reasons to be listed. I love my father and he has to have the best, and Lake House is !

I live here at Lake House and it is one of the best assisted living facilitys in Pinellas County. A very clean and comfortable home. I consider myself lucky to live here. The staff care and do a good job taking care of us. I am also able to keep my cat with me, in my private room. So I am fortunate! 5 stars
