Wonderful Rehab Facility! My mom of 83 years had hip replacement surgery about one month ago and needed to go to in patient rehab and we tried this place. She had PT and OT five days a week ( Thank you Dillon and Michelle and others who worked with her) and the nursing staff ( all nurses and CNAs) were happy and helpful. I am grateful my mom got in this place for rehab because my mother in law had poor experiences last year at others in the area. After two and a half weeks, my mom got to return to her home walking better already than before her surgery. Thank you April and nursing staff for your positive attitudes and attentiveness. The Director and Case Management also helped us navigate the Rehab Care system. I know this seems overly positive, but when you have had questionable treatment in the past, you need to give credit where it is due.

This is a marvelous community. The staff here do an exceptional job of making the residents feel like they are at a 5 star resort. The food, activities, and amenities here are incredible. Being a home care owner, I visit many communities and none in Lakeland compare with Westminster. Maria the wellness director deserves special recognition. She is unbelievably diligent about observing and tracking any health or care issues with the residents in assisting living. I would greatly recommend this community to anyone seeking a fun filled carefree retirement experience.

We want to make sure that everyone knows how awesome this place is. JB Brown our father was Giving extremely good care. Cindy was one of my dads primary caregivers during his day and she went over and above to make sure his needs were met. We are very thankful and would recommend this place to anyone that has a loved one that needs care. Everyone was really good to us, but Cindy truly went above and beyond.

At 83 years, I recently had a knee replacement and did rehab at Westminster. Outstanding facility. I cannot say enough about the excellent care I received from the time I got there until my discharge. The physical therapy crew are extremely knowledgeable and display true concern for everyone. Choosing a rehab/skilled nursing facility is a very important decision for the family and client so I did extensive research and touring facilities in the area. Westminster is, by far, superior overall.

I recently had back surgery and after I was released from the hospital I went to Westminster for therapy. I have never stayed at a rehab place before so I didn't know what to expect. I was very pleased with the help I received as a patient. My favorite nurse was Cyndee Marsh. She was the most compassionate person I have ever met. The rest of the staff I worked with were awesome too. The PT and OT personnel that worked with me treated me with kindness. This was not just a job for them, they truly cared for their patients and it showed. The food was great too and all the CNA's and student nurses were great too! I would highly recommend anyone looking for a rehab, short or long term. Thanks you all!

When my grandma got sick 1500 miles from me and my family, it was incredibly difficult to know where to turn, especially since we wouldn’t be able to be there to support her all the time. The team at Westminster Lakeland has been so patient and kind and we are so grateful for their support and care for her. Though our ultimate goal was to get her closer to us, Westminster was an amazing place for the time being, the staff and residents make it a wonderful community.

We moved my father-in-law into this community six months ago and we are so thankful to have found it. Michelle was exceptionally helpful while we were looking for a place and she has also been so sweet in helping him get adjusted. She went above and beyond with move-in process and has consistently answered any questions that have come up in the last few months.

Searching for your late in life forever home is difficult, the people you meet make it easier. Michele Fowles is one of those people. You show up nervous and the personality and warmth just jumps out at you and immediately calms you. Then you get down to the 'our house is selling quick and we may have to find a temporary place' and you get an alternative that gets you onboard just as quickly. Every step has been a blessing that we've had someone on our side helping with each step...

We've only been here a couple of weeks, but all is going well. We were somewhat familiar with the place as my parents lived here years ago. And I know they were happy with things, which is why we considered Westminster Lakeland to begin with. The staff is wonderful and has been very helpful. The other residents are very nice, and we've enjoyed dining with them and the dinner conversation. As we meet or pass people just walking around everyone if very friendly, it's a small town within a small town. We were fortunate and got a contract on our house quickly, and even though the accommodations we wanted weren't available, the staff worked with us to get us into an apartment so that we wouldn't be "homeless"; and saved us the hassle of trying to find an apartment complex to move into short term. We really appreciate that they worked with us so that we could start our new lives here at Westminster Lakeland. The staff/marketing department in particular has been extremely helpful with getting us here and settled in our temporary home and working toward what will be our long term home. There are good places to walk our dog, a beautiful lake for us to go for walks around and just to look across - makes a really nice view from the dining room. They have amenities I wouldn't have even thought about for a retirement home/community; don't know that we'll use all of the but are looking forward to using many of them. We're excited for our future here.

I have lived in Lakeland for the past 23 years. Retired in 2017 after 43 years in the pharmaceutical industry. I heard of Westminster Lakeland (then Florida Presbyterian) from my sister who used to deliver meals on wheels here. I wanted a place that would care for me, so I wouldn't burden my family in my final years. I think what the number ONE thing, the heartbeat that draws us to Westminster Lakeland, is the spiritual atmosphere that surrounds the campus. Beginning with our chaplain, I call here Ms Etta. The campus is made up of all denominations. Not just one denomination. I moved here in 2022 after being sold on what Westminster had to offer. For independent living. They have residential housing, single family houses, duplexes, 1and 2-bedroom apartments. For activities they offer, swimming, horseshoe, ladder climb, Bing bag, dominos, bridge, checkers, puzzles, winter Olympics. Competiton amongst the other 23 Westminster communities, arts and crafts competition with other Westminster communities. We have field events; we take the bus to and from, our last one was to receive our Veterans back from the Honor of Flight trip to Washinton DC. We have a VETERNS group that meets for breakfast each month. Then Westminster offers assisted living. As we get older, we need a little extra help. It might be help for bathing, taking your meds on time, getting ready for bed. They offer bus service to and from doctors, grocery, drug store, mall. Then there is long term care. Our nurses are kind and understanding. They give the best care anyone would want. And if you have surgery and need physical therapy, our team of therapist will work with your doctor and you. I enjoy the pool because it is easy to get to from my apartment. There are pool exercise or you can swim laps. The hours are great and open most of the day. Also there are good walkways around the property. There is a large shady park that I can walk to. And there is a great walkway around Lake Hunter with benches to stop and enjoy watching the birds.

After looking at several continuing care communities here in Florida, we decided to invest in our future by moving to Westminster Lakeland. That was the best decision we ever made as we love the people living here, and the beautiful location on Lake Hunter. Westminster is situated in the heart of Lakeland, convenient to stores, as well as medical facilities. This is a very active environment, where we care about each other and are proud to be a part of this community.

After a fall, I was encouraged to participate in physical activities that would strengthen my legs and be good for my overall physical health. Not being a gym enthusiast it was suggested that I join other Seniors in regular workout sessions. Our Wellness Coordinator, Allison Hand runs these classes for this purpose. She also showed me how to use the exercise equipment and made up a personal routine for me to follow on other days. The exercise classes have been both physically and mentally beneficial. As a bonus I have met other residents of the community and have developed friendships with them. This is just one of the many benefits of living here at Westminster Lakeland Rich DeSipio.

We are newer residents and love our lifestyle here! We watch the sunsets over Lake Hunter from our porch, walk to the gym, pool and hot tub, and find it very easy to make friends. One surprise is that this is a multigenerational community. We enjoy the company of residents from 62 to 106. The very best thing for us is the freedom to come and go without worry about cutting the grass, maintaining a home, or security while we are away. It's like being a teenager again, without the angst but with all the joy!

I have lived here at Westminster Lakeland for just 2 years. I thought it would be a hard transition leaving my home and all my friends in Pennsylvania but I was wrong. The people who live here and the Staff immediately became like family. If I had known it was going to be so easy I know I would have moved here 10 years ago.

We enjoyed a garden party celebrating Cinquo de Mayo this week. There were Musicians, dancers, decorated tables, banners hanging from the trees and decorated tables. The kitchen staff prepared a tasty meal of fresh fruit, a corn dish, tacos, empanadas, chicken , and other traditional foods. We visited old and new friends who hope to live in this community. I look forward to the next gathering that our sales staff puts together.

I really enjoyed my stay the nurses CNA were very nice the guys in rehab Hez Dylan Demarco Trixie Michelle & Kim make you feel at home. Just love them. I only have 1 complaint and that is I had to stay in bed until 1pm because all batteries were dead in the hoyers. Other than that it was great. Donna Calkins

Westminster is an outstanding facility with a caring staff, a good medical team, and an extraordinary physical therapy team. I extend my deepest appreciation to Kim, Trixie, Michelle, and their unrelenting dedication to their patients”simply amazing people. Everyone on staff tries to take a team approach. I speak for myself here but I have been told the same by many others who have been there for rehabilitation. No rehab or assisted living or nursing home is perfect but Westminster is at the top of the good list in this area.

My husband was a patient in rehab at this facility. I cannot say enough about the care and treatment he received. Everyone was very kind, caring and professional. His nurse Cindy Marsh always went above and beyond what was required. I highly recommend this facility

Recently my mother stayed at this facility and had rehab for a few weeks. Overall the staff was friendly, but we did have some things that happened that we weren't too happy about. They run a skeleton crew on the weekends and the first weekend my mother was there, a nurse came in to assist her and left her unattended for 45 minutes using the excuse she was helping to pass out trays! Another occasion my mother was needing her pain medication and pushed the call button and was still ignored for 4 hours! Not acceptable at all! The day shift nurses really tried their best to stay on top of their duties but the facility definitely needs more help. When they realized my mother didnt ask for much and wasnt a complainer, she was left alone in her room for hours. Only time someone came in was to serve her meals and occasionally take her vitals. If not for those few problems, the facility is very clean, staff is friendly and the rehab therapist are excellent! I was ways greeted at the front desk and the check in and out process was fast and easy.

I am a full time caregiver for my dad who has Vascular Dementia. Recently my dad stayed at Florida Presbyterian Homes for respite care so my husband & I could visit our grandsons in Boston for a long weekend. My dad was given the utmost care and kindness. He said he enjoyed his vacation at the new place since the people were so welcoming and he also said the food was really good !! Thank you for going above and beyond to make my dad so comfortable. Please read my complete review. Recently my Mom was a patient for rehab, she was there for 1 month. Everyone I met was very professional, understanding and took great care of my 90 year old mother. I want to give special thanks to a few people who spent a great deal of time helping her. First of all Ronda in admissions is a God send. She went above and beyond in helping me. Ms Ann the receptionist is a wonderful lady. The nursing staff is awesome, thank you Renee and Steven. The CNA’s were great, my thanks to Kendra,Tweet,Jeff and Ansel. The Physical and Occupational therapy staff are very good. My thanks to Brooke and the girl who’s name I can’t spell. The dining room and food was very good as I had eaten lunch with my mom many times. My thanks to Dee the hostess and my dear friend from NY Juan and all the food servers who work so hard. The Social worker Theresa is a NIGHTMARE!!! She is the most uncaring person I have ever met. She was no help of any sort to my family. I believe she is there for a paycheck and that is all. She never once stopped at my mom’s room to even say hello. She is the wrong person to be in that position. In such a great environment with wonderful people it’s sad to have a Social worker such as her. I can only hope there are enough complaints about her so she gets fired! Good luck to all that have to deal with her.
