Lake Morton Plaza – Reviews
October 2022
This is the worst place to put anyone in. They lie to you right from the beginning. The food is awful. Often cold, not nutritious, left sitting out on table for pickup. The staff steals from the poor ignorant elderly. They operate as a dictator ship to the elderly who are afraid to stand up for themselves. Do not believe what they say. I was lucky to be able to leave that place as others are stuck there for the rest of their lives.

I moved here into a two bedroom apartment as independent living in January. The second bedroom is my office as I’m still working full time as an attorney with The apartment is beautiful and is actually an apartment; not a room! You have an actual kitchen! I’m not great at taking photos due to cerebral palsy but the point is rarely does a congregate living community offer a unit which feels like any other apartment. The rent is $700 less than what I was paying at another independent living community. The view is wonderful from my balcony. The staff is very caring and attentive and the food is very good! What’s amazing is how affordable it is here!

I have worked here for a month and I love how, everyone is family and so welcoming. I love how the residents are so sweet and so friendly. I couldn’t ask for a better place to work and call these fakes, family.

Lake Morton Plaza is a great community. The staff is very friendly with the residents. It is like a big family! Alexis, the activities director is the best around!! She’s very organized and always planning fun events, including live music and other entertainment. Lake Morton Plaza is also very convenient for residents that are looking for aging in place. All of their apartments are licensed for assisted living and the residents wound not have to move out of their apartment should their needs change. I strongly recommend taking a tour! The staff is nice and the food is delicious!!

My mother recently moved in and it has been great for her. She desperately needed the help and support that they provide to her daily. Her apartment is very well maintained and spacious and the food is delicious. My mom is finally able to get her hair done every week without having to leave the building. I have not met a staff person that I do not like. The whole process from first phone call to moving in was easy and there was always someone there to answer any question or to help. If you are looking for an assisted living facility, please check them out.

I love going down there and sitting to see the wildlife, as well as feeding them. My isssue is the fact people speed down there and it makes me nervous for the wildlife that crosses the roads from time to time, its very beautiful and lovely to walk around. Good for kids and to those who exercise!

When kathy Hogeland is MOD it is a lot of fun. She brings donuts and knows a lot about old movies so it makes it very fun to go back in time and relive some memories. I want to give her special recognition for helping us have a good time during this time of year

I had the pleasure of spending time with some of the staff. Shannon Clark, Jennifer McDowell, Chris Gardner, Tracy Price, Kathy Houston, Kathy Hogeland, Jade Webster, Jennifer Huss, and David Bauer were such a fun, friendly, and inviting group of people. Thank you all for being wonderful!

Very nice staff who generously allowed us an impromptu tour. Older multi-story building in urban setting sturdy structure, well-equipped for emergencies with backup generator power. Warm, homey atmosphere in public areas (on the ground floor). Lots of activities, and the residents seemed happy and engaged. Spacious, lovely apartments with balconies and kitchen areas. Being an older building, the hallways were on the narrow side, and there may sometimes be a bit of a wait for the elevators.

I had a good tour of this community. Everyone was very kind, and helpful. The community looked good. From what I saw everything was clean, and nice. The staff was friendly. It was a nice experience, but I found a community that suited our needs better.
