Reviews Balmoral Assisted Living
November 2025
Moving my sister-in-law from Elegance of Lake Worth was something I worried deeply about—I didn’t want her to feel sad, unsettled, or confused. But from the very first conversation with Kyle, and later with Cherlyn after the move, my heart was put completely at ease. I knew, without a doubt, that I had made the right decision and that she was in loving, capable hands. In the times we live in, it is rare to meet someone as exceptional as Kyle—so kind, so knowledgeable, so genuinely caring. His compassion for both the residents and their families is remarkable, and it’s clear he is deeply valued by those who work with him.

(Updated review, lowering to 2 stars) Mid 2023 new ownership took over, mix in a big change in admin, and you have a sinking battleship. Lucky for the in resident Balmoral families, several of the existing "hands on" staffers are still on task. The better workers are seriously stretched thin, tasked with multiple job descriptions on a daily basis. Those few truly good people, who go above and beyond duty, we thank you. They have heart and I tell them so. The breakdown of where exactly crumbling has begun is questionable. Removing an important leadership role, spreading that work load onto already over tasked individuals wasn't clever. Shift ultimatum schedule change, like it or leave, wasn't clever. Main meals dropping from restaurant quality to low grade hospital cafeteria is a shame. (budget cuts I'm told) The latest hierarchy ruling; bring in an inexperienced painter to slosh more institutional grey everywhere. This is mind numbing. It was bad enough when they turned the main lobby hospital grey, now they are hitting the resident halls. "Word is" grey is the "in color" of "2024"+/-. Painting walls that don't need painting, while cutting costs in food and staff, it boggles the mind. Why cover the well styled earth tones in a cold grey? The place is slowly being shifted from a better class apartment style living look to neuvo morgue/institutional grey. News flash, institutional, morgue, battleship grey has been around for centuries. Our first impression when we stepped off the elevator and into the halls in 2022 was, what a lovely upscale apartment look they have going here. Seniors moving into a complex where they can have general maintenances taken care of and personal assistance with things they can no longer manage alone, don't want to be surrounded by morgue grey and eat hospital food. Balmoral had a good thing going, hope they get it back to good soon. (4 star review, before 2 star removal) For every living being, death is the ending. Common knowledge. No doubt when losing control of one's regular independent way of life, relinquishing full independence, it might feel like the beginning of the end to your loved one. The insecurity of the unknown is enough to scare and enrage most anyone. It can often make calm communications and decision making, difficult for those trying to assist in their regular daily care or routine. Balmoral is a great place to make that transition to assisted senior living. They know the meaning of quality of life and strive to fill in the gaps where independence is slipping away. There is a huge difference in assisted living and a skilled care nursing home. Families need to understand that too. Those who come to the aide of our loved one at Balmoral, surpass their job requirements when doing what they can to assist her with compassion. They show her kindness and she keeps her dignity along way. No matter how often she challenges and makes it difficult for them, they strive to be patient and kind. They work above and beyond their duty and amazingly keep a smile and kind words in passing. From the office to maintenance, the compassion for all the resident's well being is genuine. When passing through Balmoral lobbies and hall to our own, we regularly encounter a gathering of happy residents throughout. Hello, goodbye, alohas are freely exchanged, usually with a bit of banter and comradely. The resident Balmoral family is a nice one.

Friendly, helpful staff has mostly been run off by new management company woman from another community, lee I believe, has destroyed moral among remaining staff. Food service is good, as well as dining staff. Would rate better if they would remove Lee and have smiles on staff faces.

I have to say that they take good care of my mother in memory care, especially Cindy White. She is awesome with my mom and when there is an issue, she reaches out and we handle it together. We need more people like her on staff who care about the clients living there. Thank you for all the great work you do!

My mother has lived in Balmoral for 2 years and is very happy. She has made lots of new friends and feels valued by the staff. While reading other personal reviews on this site, I do concur that when the new company took over (approximately a year ago) the everyday operations of the facility slipped to subpar. Fortunately, the staff and administrators recognized that changes needed to be made and took some suggestions from the residents as well as family members. Over the past 6 months, these are some of the positive changes that my mother and siblings have noticed -Full-time RN on site-Building and grounds have been cleaned and appearance is more inviting.-Improved daily activities as well as the increase of off-site trips.-Communication between the staff and family members has improved! The Director often sends an email explaining news about the facility and any new safety protocols. Sometimes, we receive an invite to join the residents for a special luncheon or Happy Hour.I am thrilled that my mother calls Balmoral "home." If you are looking for a facility for your loved one, I recommend scheduling a visit to see if this facility is a good fit for your family.

One great year, I have resided at Balmoral. I have lived and viewed several other facilities. What a nice place to call my "home". It's always spotless. The food is " top chelf". My favorite times a day. At night, what a quiet. There is never confusion and the nurses and med. techs handle if any.It has to be number 1 in our area. Don't miss a nice family to join. Respectfully, Gary Kay

What a nice, homey place. I walked in looking for a place for my dad. There was live music and a few residents were dancing. I was met by Natalie and Darlene who took me on a tour. They were very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. They made me feel welcome, and made a hard decision smooth. My dad moved in a few weeks ago and I am very happy with the move. It was flawless. Thank you to all the staff for what you do. My dad seems happy and has met new friends.

The Director Karen keeps us informed regularly about our mother, Darlene is always sweet to all the residents that I can see while we visit there and the best employee is Silvio, he sincerely cares about the residents, always laughing with them and has a smile on his face 24/7.
