They've done it again! Had a wonderful charcuterie event this week with examples of different ways to lay out a charcuterie board and all kinds of crackers, cheeses, meats, and specialty items to use to make it. Well done, Windsor staff!

Wanted to give a loud shout out to this facility. I moved my husband to this facility in April after being in another facility. Jennifer was absolutely wonderful in helping me with the transition. My husband has Alzheimer’s that was progressing quickly. Jennifer held my hand as I had to make life changing decisions. In May, she helped me make the decision to place him in hospice care. He died while in hospice. I could not have made all the decisions without the help of Jennifer and wonderful staff! Kudos to everyone!!

I moved my dad to The Windsor at Ortega about 6 weeks ago after two years at another facility, and I truly wish I had made the change sooner. The difference has been night and day. The smaller, more intimate environment (less than 18 residents) means my dad gets the personalized attention he deserves. The staff is incredible”caring, attentive, and proactive. Recently, my dad had a health scare, and they immediately contacted me to keep me informed and put a plan in place. When I visit, he’s always engaged, clean, and happy. I’m no longer worried about his care. Plus, the food is top-notch with fresh fruits and healthy options. I’m so grateful for The Windsor at Ortega and the peace of mind they’ve given me. Highly recommend!

I have actively participated with Fredrick and the staff at Windsor Ortega and I am always amazed with their professionalism, dedication to their residents, and the communication regarding the residents needs when it comes to Grief Support. They are dedicated to the well being and progression of the mental health of the residents in the community. The environment is always fun, clean and friendly. The Windsor at Ortega has exceeded my expectations! I was faced with the difficult decision to place my parents in assisted living and memory care. I visited many places before seeing the Windsor. It is a very clean and well kept place. Kristen gave me the tour and her professional but super friendly personality helped ease my worries. Upon my father's move in to memory care, I met Sheri-Ann and Linda. My Dad was very agitated and they managed to settle him down. Seeing them in action made me realize how very much out of my league I was in trying to take care of him myself. When my mother moved in 2 weeks later, Jasmine and Linda A. greeted her and, once again, put me at ease. Patty and Jennifer (nurse staff) have my complete trust with my parents care. They are very good with contacting me with any problems and concerns. When there were health issues, I ask what they would do and I have complete confidence in their judgements. Since moving in, my parents and I have developed a fantastic relationship with the staff. Special shout out to Eddy and Sheri-Ann: these 2 especially have shown great care for my parents. My Dad doesn't remember a whole lot, but he does remember these 2! Their love for their job shows. They are both very good with all the residents. Thank you Windsor!!

What a lovely place! We attended the Festival of Flowers fundraiser to benefit the Shepherds House and were thrilled with the beautiful assortment of flowers displayed along with delicious snacks! The facility is gorgeous, clean, with a tremendously friendly atmosphere. I would love to see my elderly family members here in their later years.

This is a lengthy, heartfelt review. My Mother has resided at The Windsor at Ortega since January 2023 and is loving life! They have exceeded our expectations in every aspect from the leadership, caregivers, medical professionals, activity director, chefs, staff, and therapists. I am totally at peace knowing my Mother is safe and well cared for and bonus she loves her new apartment! (Thank you Lisa, Residence Director)! My mother is 92 and has serious multiple health issues. She previously was prescribed incorrect medications which caused her to become bedridden and living in dark rooms for the last 4 years. After my Father's passing, her then medical team discharged her to The Windsor at Ortega. She’s realized a 180 degree turn around solely due to the special care of her onboarding team. In addition, concessions were made by Jennifer, the Head Nurse, due to Mom's extreme photophobia. These concessions gave her eyes the ability to gradually improve over time to become readjusted. DeAndre (activity director and the apple of Mom's eye) went into her room immediately and began working with her to become active and to participate with the group activities. The therapists also worked with her diligently which gave her the ability to strengthen her weak muscles and walk again. Wanda, who was Mother's original caregiver, was awesome with her and was my rock. I literally could not have made it in the beginning without her support. To Makala, Crystal and Nea, I cannot thank you enough for your continued joy you provide in her care. Thank you Dena for assisting mom with menu choices due to her poor vision!! Thank you Ms Ruth for always answering our many questions and providing facility guidance with a smile! I wish I could name and thank each and every person who has touched our lives. I cannot even begin to talk about her miraculous transformation without crying, and it is solely because of you all. The transformation of where she was for four years and where she is now is beyond comprehension and we will be forever grateful. In closing, The Windsor at Ortega made my Mother's transition a seamless process. You can tell when people are meant to be in healthcare especially when so much heart goes into every aspect of their operations. The facility and the grounds are gorgeous, kept impeccably clean, and provides a safe environment for your loved one. You will be doing your family a disservice if you do not include The Windsor at Ortega in your interview process!

My parents have resided in the memory care center since January. My mother passed away in October. The caregivers came to give their condolences even though they were not working that day. I cannot say enough good things about how much the entire staff cares for the residents of Windsor. My Dad is still here & they are very attentive. Had a wonderful tour of this community several weeks ago. The team at The Windsor were very welcoming and provided lots of information and answered all of our questions and concerns. And, even though we have not taken the next step with my dad, Caroline has kept in touch with our family on dad’s well being. We were invited to a recent event at The Windsor that centered around the VA and possible benefits to include Aid and Attendance. The guest speaker was excellent and very informative. A great place for anyone that has reached the point in life where they need assistance in daily living. My Daddy was a resident there years ago and received all the care he needed. I have a dear friend that is thinking about assisted living and I'm recommending the Windsor to her based on the experienced we had there years ago, and the visit/tour of the facility I had yesterday. I am convinced they are still offering the same quality care for their residents today. Kind and courteous staff.

The staff is very kind and attentive. My MIL had a great experience with her move in. Jonah from PT is compassionate and encouraging. Wendy from Intake has been helpful and made the transition from the rehab center as easy as possible. They are taking the recent Delta variant of COVID seriously and we appreciate that. The apartment is homey and the general surroundings are welcoming.

I’ve been meaning to write this review since I moved my mom into The Windsor at Ortega back in October. It was an extremely stressful time for my mom and for myself and I was blown away by how wonderful the entire staff was. Peter Nasif, in particular, was really exceptional. He always took the time to answer all of our questions and he went out of his way to make the process as smooth as possible from the initial tour to move-in day. Everything he said has come to fruition and I’m so thankful that my mom is in such a great place and she is receiving excellent care.

I have been so impressed with this community and the people here. They have gone above and beyond from the first contact all the way through to move-in and going forward. This is a trying time and the first person to help us was Peter Nasif; he was comforting and reassuring and worked to accommodate us on a very short timeline. Shenequa was the nurse assigned to provide an evaluation and she was a gem, never losing her composure even through a very trying family situation. And Jenn Stratton helped us with the actual lease and move-in. She was a great guide through the process, and was patient with all of our questions when it was hard to concentrate. These people are no less than amazing, and the care, treatment and assistance they provide to our loved one is incomparable. I'm so glad to have found them.

My father in law has been in The Windsor for not yet a week and so far the experience has been amazing. While he is still adjusting to a new home, all the staff are making us all feel "at home". He is greeted with hellos and smiles from Veronica at the front desk to everyone in the dining room to all the gentle ones bringing his meds or just offering to take him to a meal. We are looking forward to a great future at The Windsor of Ortega.
