The community is small and intimate which allows the residents to become part of a family that truly cares about one another. Having a parent at Sodalis has been a good experience. Danielle was wonderful! Laura and Shelby are also great. All of the staff have been terrific over the past 3 weeks. They take good care of all of the residents. The food selections are diverse and delicious. Angela, at the front desk, is the first person you see when you walk in and she is a great representation of what to expect by being welcoming and friendly. Terrell is part of the kitchen staff and he helps me out when I come there to visit. Unfortunately, I can't remember the names of everyone, but they all have been the best. So forgive me if I didn't remember your names, RAs, Nurses, Physical Therapists, Chef, Sales, etc... Finally, Mary, the Activities Director is absolutely amazing. She brings in great entertainers and keeps up an active schedule including shopping, cookouts, social hour, movies, virtual reality and of course, BINGO! She does above and beyond her job. My Mom is very pleased with her stay. I do recommend it for your parents. ** I am not being paid for this review!

I want to say Sodalis has been a blessing in disguise. My grandmother has thrived here..sometimes I do not recognize the personality that shes showing, she has made friends with both the other residents and the staff and she has enjoyed being there. I personally would also like to give a shout out to Antoinette. She is THE BEST! She has grown into what I now call her the honorary daughter into our family. She always has a smile on, can brighten up the room just by walking in! I want to thank Sodalis and the staff for the personalized care they provide. 100% recommend

I had started touring facilities around the area for my mom and i had come across Sodalis. Really great facility and an even better staff. Had a wonderful lady Daniel give me a tour and some really inspiring words of care as i continue to move forward with my journey with my mom. For me it really checks a lot of boxes on what to look for as well as all of the amenities in the area that i frequent. So if you’re looking for a place for your mom or dad, i encourage you to check them out and see it for yourself.

What a wonderful experience it's been having my Mom reside at Sodalis Jacksonville. The entire community including the resident rooms are thoughtfully designed and offer many well appointed common areas. They have lots of activities daily for the residents and have frequent, fun evening or weekend events and include inviting the resident's families & friends. From the executive director to the housekeeping staff, everyone is patient, kind, attentive & always smiling. Everyone treats the residents with respect and compassion. They truly go above and beyond to make sure every resident feels cared for, valued & like they're all a part of the amazing Sodalis family. Mom has told me that the daily meals make her feel like she's eating at a 5-star restaurant at every meal. I truly feel the care and attention provided by all employees at Sodalis Jacksonville, is beyond exceptional and I toured several other ALF's prior to making a decision on finding the best care for Mom. After our initial tour, Mom & I knew immediately that Sodalis was the best community for her. Mom is so happy living there and has thrived since moving to Sodalis Jacksonville. I couldn't be happier for her & our family. I'm deeply grateful for everything they do for Mom and every resident. We brought our mom here a week ago and I can tell you I was worried that she wouldn’t thrive cause she’s not a social butterfly and has alzheimers. The staff has been amazing, the food has been amazing. She has made friends and she has enjoyed her time. She seems content and happy. All of the staff know every resident by name and treat them with respect and kindness. There hasn’t been a day I have walked in here (and I do every morning) that I wasn’t met with smiles and good mornings. The residents here all tell me they have enjoyed their time here and are engaged. They always have activities and have the churches come in for prayer and bible study. I could go on and on but I am so happy we chose this place over the others! 10 out of 10 recommend if you are looking for a place for your family to age in place! °

My father had pneumonia, and went from hospital to Sodalis, I was very worried about him but Perry Slatter and Laura assured me my father would get the care that he needs, and he has!! I can’t say enough good things about Sodalis, Perry, and Laura. I would recommend them to anyone! The staff is very thoughtful and caring as well. I look forward to many good years there! From my very first encounter during the Sodalis interview process I was confident that Mom would be in very good hands. From initial admittance to regular assistance and eventually full assistance during almost two years with Sodalis Mom and I never once suffered any bad experience. After 93 years of living on her own my mother decided she needed a bit more help day to day. My sister and I began looking for a great place for her. After visiting several Centers around Jacksonville we found Sodalis. The one major difference was the concern for the residence and the longevity of the key employees. Especially Perry Slater the sales director. He describes the facility like family. The staff has been attentive and caring, just as promised. Keep up the great work your team provides!

July 2023 Just wanted to share a shout out to Sodalis at Timberlake. Our family toured several assisted living facilities throughout Jacksonville and we choose Sodalis for our mom. It was a joy to have the staff stop and speak to us about our mom and showed empathy with this decision. They showed kindness towards all of our family while visiting the facility. Now that she is a resident, every member of the staff has been exceptional. They are friendly, personable and very compassionate to our 93 year old mother. We feel our mother is safe and secure with her extended Sodalis FAMILY.

The staff and facility are AMAZING! My grandfather has been there for 3 months. I am beyond words for the amount of love and care he receives from the staff! The facility is just right for him and there is enough staff to ensure his safety! They have been extremely helpful and supportive during his stay. I am forever grateful for all they have done for him!

Really nice community. Overall no complaints. Patients seem happy and taken care of. Building is older but has some charm. Every time we come in staff greet us and make us feel welcome. Mom says it's as close to home as she can get. I like it a lot better than some of the other places we looked at before moving in

I love this building and these people! Everyone is so nice and treat me so well whenever I visit. I thought a nursing home was a bad place to be but clearly the smiles and laughter thoughout the halls state otherwise. I am so glad that my grandpa picked sodalis to live at. I just wish they had a pool.

I wanted to comment regarding the prior 1-star review. Being in the assisted living business myself for over 35 years, and being an Executive Director and Nursing Director for many of those years, I don’t think people always tend to read the contract they sign when the loved one moves in. It’s like an apartment - if your belongings are there, you owe rent, period. The apartment cannot be re-rented until all of the items are removed by the family, and the room is turned. In the contract it states that a facility has to give you 45 days notice for you to leave, for whatever the reason. If there is a move out, you are required to give the facility 30 days notice. If there is a death, you are FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE until above stated personal items are removed. I have personally had the pleasure to meet and get to know Erin and she would give you the shirt off of her back. She is one of the most kind and loving individuals that I have had the pleasure to know. Please don’t make any judgments on this facility regarding one bad review.

Our family was very satisfied by my Dads recent stay in Sodalis assisted living. Everyone on the staff was engaging, polite and efficient, treating him with kindness and care, with a lower staff to resident ratio than other facilities. His needs were met with efficiency and timeliness. This smaller property addressed his needs better than a larger setting and it is being renovated gradually with plans for the years ahead. It was so convenient to our family’s home and the area is a lovely tropical setting on a quiet back road. We would recommend this hidden gem.

Great small, Family like setting. I love all the staff and how attentive they are to the needs of the residents. There are planned activities throughout the week and live entertainment, so much to offer here. Beautiful clean well maintained rooms, lots of activities, and most important, a lovely, caring, and engaging team of administrators and care givers. It is very clear that each staff member truly cares for the residents, and loves what he/she does. No one is working simply for the paycheck but because they love what they do. My mother is a changed person since she has been here for a little over a year.
