I toured Amavida today with Beth and was very impressed with the beauty and layout of the facility. I only toured the Memory Care, but all areas I came in contact with were bright, clean, updated and open! The staff all greeted me and were helpful. The rooms were sufficient and had room to maneuver a wheelchair, if necessary. There are several activities for those interested, also. They even have a nice pool and gorgeous outdoor sitting areas. A resident stated she's been there 6 years and loves it and the menu had many choices for each meal time. I would say it looks like a wonderful place for seniors needing more care, as they age. Love living at Amavida, a true resort style complex. The residents are friendly and staff accomodating. It is a brand new facility so working out a few kinks but staff has been responsive. A lot of new hires as they continually strive to find and hire the best employees to serve our residents. It is filling up fast with entusiastic new residents. UPDATE: Celebrated two years enjoying living at Amavida. At 75 people think I am young for Senior living but I wanted to be able to fully enjoy the resort living without responsibities. So glad I did. I lead a busy, active life and enjoy the community spirit. I also enjoy our own entrance to Lakes Park. Why wait when you could be living the good life at Amavida. Over 5 years now at Amavida and couldn't be happier. I've watched it grow and develop. The staff is terrific. We enjoy a variety of dining experiences. There are activities and clubs to cover any interest. This is truly care free living at its finest.

My wife and I are residents at Amavida and have been For two years. Prior to selecting Amavida we visited almost every senior living and care facility in Lee and Collier county for about 1 1/2 yrs. We found out found Amavida to be head and shoulders above every place that we visited. Some Of these places we even we sampled their food. The people who work here are Absolutely unbelievably Nice and very attentive to your needs. I never thought A place like this existed. We highly recommend Amavida before you waste your time Like we did. Tom & Natalie.

For the past 18 months, we have conducted due diligence in researching, evaluating, considering and visiting numerous Florida retirement communities as potential candidates for our lives' next stage "forever" homes. Some turned out to be weary and dated, others gaudy and excessively palatial and ostentatious, yet others unrelaxed, formal, constrained and restrictive. There was one, however, that stood palpably superior in all measures to the others we had reviewed … and that community is Amavida Living of Fort Myers' west coast. The consideration that initially caught our attention and nominated Amavida's candidacy was the "no costly buy in / no long term contract" aspect afforded by the community. In retrospect, that was a primary but decreasingly important asset as we delved deeper into the community and discovered its lengthy panoply of values and benefits. From the moment we first approached the community, walked through its manicured and richly planted grounds, and entered its capacious, bright, cheerful and welcoing lobby we turned to each other and simultaneously said: "This feels like home." And so it did, exuding an enwombing sense of familiarity, comfort and peace. Of course, we took the requisite private tour of the campus, conducted by the warm, human, pressure-less, soft spoken and endearing Martha Davilla, Director of Business Development who has, over time, grown to become one of our inner circle of friends. To Martha's credit, rather than directing, monitoring and shadowing our each and every step, we were given carte blanche to explore as we chose, to randomly interact with staff members and with residents whose paths we might cross. One universal message we heard repeatedly and forcefully from every resident, man and woman, regardless of age: "Yes, we are happy to be here here. The only question: Why didn't we do this sooner. From the staff: "We are extremely happy to be here. " and one could tell that, behind the energetic replies and beaming faces, they were truly sincere and WERE glad to be at Amavida. We could go on for several pages more: the enticing meals as discerned from past, current and planned menus. The spacious airiness and relaxed pastel and calming colors predominant throughout the campus. The well thought out, supremely functional and more than adequate apartment designs. The responsible and mature pet policy. The graciousness and dedication to their residents' physical and spiritual well being of the enire Amavida staff. The exemplary supportive facilities, including an on-site physician's office, two dining rooms, large swimming pool, outdoor grilling area et al. The rich and diversified daily activities offerings. The spick-and-span, Marine-level cleanliness throughout. If you are considering transitioning into a retirement community and Florida is your tageted destination, you MUST add Amavida Living to your list. You will have done yourself a favor and shall not be disappointed.

This is a retirement and assisted living place that is beautiful, great staff and residents. They offer lots of activities and the food is great with choices of meals and their are several dining rooms. Dinning room looks like a restaurant and the rooms look like hotel rooms. I hope I can some day live in a place like this. I must see and visit. Residents are addressed by Mr/Mrs/Ms. There are many husband and wife's living here.

Amavida was a gracious host to The Jewish Federation of Lee and Charlotte Counties Lunch Bunch program. The staff worked hard to make sure that our event was user-friendly - from parking to signage to great food and good cheer by everyone we encountered. The food was delicious and all of the waitstaff were friendly and kind. We used the movie theatre at Amavida after lunch to view a slide presentation by a local artist, capping off a wonderful afternoon.

I just had the fortunate opportunity of going through a hurricane (Ian) with incredibly talented and dedicated staff, and our wonderful family of residents. I say fortunate because we came through it a closer group of people and completely unscathed...well except the landscaping which took a pounding. That too will be good as new in the next month or two! Thanks Amavida Family!

Almost 1 year after leaving Amavida retirement community in Fort Myers, FL, I still miss living there. Everything for retirees is easily available. The facility is relatively new, top notch, clean and so well staffed. The meals are excellent as was the meal service. The apartments are nicely cleaned each week and the entire facility is impeccably clean. If anyone is seeking a place for the parent[s], or grandparent[s], or for yourselves, be sure to visit Amavida.

Amavida truly represents resort style living at its finest. The community is beautiful, well maintained and the staff are welcoming and helpful. I love that there's a park in walking distance too. It's certainly has got to be among the best retirement communities in SWFL. I highly recommend checking out Amavida if you're looking yourself or a family member.

Toured the facilities with my parents, lovely grounds and interiors throughout. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. We had lunch at the restaurant facing the pond, prices were very affordable and the quality of the food and service was excellent.

New management are making changes in fast order, making this place better all the time. The staff are wonderful, the facilities are first rate and the food service is getting better by the day. Still some kinks being worked out but I am happy to be a resident where the management listens to the residents and makes appropriate changes. Ive read the early reviews and they were obviously done by people with their own agendas and should be discounted. We have been here for a year so we have seen the improvements.

First of all let me say I am married to Roger Rummel but I have kept my prior name for business reasons. We are so happy we found Amavida! The very next day to being made aware of Amavida we were going to buy into another upscale retirement community. We came here and saw exactly what we wanted. We liked that we could rent and did not have to buy. Also, if we didnt like it we could move without penalty. The tour was amazing, everything we could want in Independent living was here and if we needed more that was here also though separate. We are active at ages 86 and 90 so there are classes almost everyday and some days more than one that help us physically, mentally, and emotionally. There is a state of the art Exercise Room, a Hair and Nail Salon, An Art Studio, and Game Rooms for cards, billiards, etc. There is so much to do and enjoy that I have only scratched the surface. There is casual dining and formal. The food is very good, not commercial in any way. i had a pot roast with mashed potatoes, and baby herbed carrots a couple nights ago that was the best I had ever eaten. The apartments are very nice, as my husband likes to say our apartment is cozy. Its plenty big enough for two people who like their own space. If you have any thoughts about moving into a retirement home please do yourself a favor and visit Amavida. We have been here almost 2 years and we couldnt be happier. The staff are all like family, they make you feel at home from the moment you call Amavida home.

My parents are thrilled with Amavida. We join them for dinner a lot and its wonderful! The staff is so sweet and welcoming. Lakeside restaurant and bar is beautiful! Arts and crafts are fun too! They have a themed party for all the holidays and many other fun activities! Cant say enough good things about it. I feel my parents are well taken care of and most of all they are happy!

Amavida is the best!! We love our apartment. The location is so convenient right next to Lakes Park, medical facilities and shopping. The employees are always eager to assist--in the dinning room, housekeeping, lifestyle activities and providing transportation to doctor appointments etc. If you need anything, just call the concierge!!

Wonderful events today (December 15th) as Amavida residents gifted its hourly workers with a Christmas thank-you check which included a bonus for those workers who have been with us for one year. We are blessed to have all of these workers who keep us safe, healthy and happy! My husband and I have begun our third year of residence in an independent living apartment...an apartment that is configured well to house our baby grand Kanabe! We enjoy the Oasis swimming pool, access to Lakes Park for bike riding and its Farmers Marker. and the various activities provided by the Lifestyles staff! The company Unidine has recently taken over our food services and we are excited for their inclusion of fresh and well prepared foods. Amavida is a small, rental community with a variety of living spaces available for independent to memory care folks. Its a welcoming environment with delightful staff!

Its such a beautiful place to work. The team is so friendly, helpful, and always finding new way to pamper our residents. Nursing Week was amazing. We received beautiful pot of flowers from the Directors. Wish I could post the picture. My parents are absolutely loving living at Amavida. The residents and staff are extremely welcoming to new people, which was a great relief when I was relocating my parents to Fort Myers, Florida. The facilities are beautiful and staff works very hard to offer 5-star food, activities and amenities. The campus looks more like a resort than a senior living neighborhood, so my parents were excited to move in and start really enjoying their retirement! They have just about every service seniors require available on site and have a bus system to transport residents around town for errands and activities. Though we moved my parents into the Independent Living building, knowing staff is there to help with transitioning them to Assisted Living when the time comes, is very comforting. Very, very happy with our decision to move mom and dad into this community and look forward to visiting my parents so we can take advantage of the amenities ourselves!

I have had nothing but positive experiences with Amavida. Before I moved in they were always available to answer any of my questions and they worked with me to help me get ready for my move in to my new home. Im delighted with the friendly and concerned staff. They are bending over backward to make my stay here a pleasant experience. The food is wonderful. It ranges from a fine dining experience to good ole comfort food. There are endless activities for the residents and we are basically a group of happy people. Ive made many new friends and plan to stay here for the rest of my life. The surroundings are peaceful and lovely and Im very glad I made the decision to come here.
