My mother entered assisted living at Harbor House at Ocala in 2015 where I visited her almost every day until her passing in March of this year, 2024. Therefore, I was in close touch with all of the management, employees, services, activities and overall care for my mother for almost ten years. I will say that both she and I were very pleased with the way the staff treated her during those years. Yes, there were a few inconsistencies with opinion- based overviews over the years, but that is to be expected. But I can say that we were fortunate to find Harbor House in 2015 and will remember all of the staff over those nine years for their kindness and attention to Mom's needs. I will say that at the end of her life, she looked back over the years and said that she was very happy there, and the friendships she made with both staff and residents meant so much to both of us. I could name so very many, and I especially would like to recognize Patty Cook, the current director at Harbor House. During moms final weeks and days of life, Patty ensured that everything that I needed to address the waning days was administered to. She displayed genuine caring and concern for both mom and myself, not just during this challenging time, but from Patty's first few weeks at the facility. And the staff, or I will say friends? Absolutely wonderful. They devoted as much time as they could to mom, efforts that really were sources of emotional support for us. Thank you, Patty, and everyone at Harbor House at Ocala now, and over the years. I must not overlook the care that was provided by everyone from Gentiva Hospice. Also absolutely wonderful, with consistency being par excellence. Thank you, all.

Do not take your loved ones to the harbor House in dunnellon Florida when they die the staff steals their belongings administrator does nothing they also run out of food all the time they get bathed once a week nasty place

I attended Harbor House's OPEN HOUSE held by the Director, Mrs. Cook. This place is absolutely beautiful and amazing. The residents are happy to be there. The place has been renovated to make their life easier. The employees WANT to be there - which says a lot. Mrs. Cook has done an absolute amazing job on this place, and I would whole heartedly not hesitate to have my family members reside here, should the need arise. If you are contemplating

Went by for a tour. Thinking about a place for my mother in the future. Patricia Cook the director gave us an excellent tour. The place was extremely clean and you could tell it's well run. We had lunch while we were there and I was blown away by how great the food was. Homemade soup everyday? That's unheard of at most places and my mom loved it. We'll definitely keep this place in mind for the future care of my mother. Thanks Patricia for all you've done for this place!

I wanted to take a moment to highlight the exceptional management team at Harbor House of Ocala. Patricia, the direct director, ensures that all residents are well taken care of and goes above and beyond in her role. The housekeeping team does a fantastic job maintaining the facility, and the dining room has recently been updated for residents to enjoy their home-cooked meals daily. Residents especially love the soup of the day. I highly recommend booking a tour to see Harbor House of Ocala for yourself. You won't regret it.

Love the facility! Has really changed a lot since new management took over. The facility has been painted and remodeled. It has great housekeepers that keep the hallways and rooms clean. I would definitely recommend.

I came to harbor house to do a tour for my dad. He has been staying here for 6 months. I absolutely love the staff and administration. When I come in to visit my dad the place is clean and food looks good. So happy I placed my dad here !

My name is Ollie Hilliard, it was Rowe when I moved to Florida. My friend has lived at Harbor House of Ocala for 5 years. She is 93 years old and is a delight to be around. Jane is happy with the care and what this facility offers. Jane has peace of mind and is secure and is just enjoying the rest of her life not having to worry. I visit her whenever I want to and there is always positive activities going on. Denise, the director is always there to answer any questions. I would love to give Harbor House a 10, but they only have 5 stars available. Go and see for yourself, you would want your loved ones to live in peace also.

It has been a good experience. I have been real pleased with the place and my loved one has been pleased too. I think the only issue is the food; it has gone downhill since she first moved in. I think that they are getting some new help and trying to improve though.
