I toured the facility and found there were ample opportunities to participate in various activities. It seemed like a very friendly place. Be aware they are undergoing renovations and you have to think past that.

I started looking for a nice independent living place in Florida for my dad early this year. Somehow, I connected with Kelly Everson, in Marketing, and because of her follow-up calls, how friendly and upbeat she was, and the great move-in deal she gave me, we decided to choose them. Fast forward three months. This place is amazing! My dad and I love it! The facility is great; the staff is wonderful; The food is outstanding, and my dad has made friends. The facility is located on a major street, and that has allowed my dad to learn the area quickly, and shop for whatever he needs easily. I had several questions for management and Kelly Yodar, the Region Manager, was A+!!! She answered my questions, was positive, and displayed outstanding leadership! I highly recommend this place for your loved one/parent!! We are very happy!

I visited Sterling Court and absolutely loved the community! It was clean, had friendly staff, and the residents seemed happy. I toured with Jake. He was genuine and took the time to spend with me. He showed me a lovely one bedroom that had new flooring and a beautiful balcony for a great price. My Mom has been living with me for several years. When she is ready, we will be choosing Sterling Court for her new home!

The place 'looks good' from outside. Nice location, easy access. The building is older, nice and clean BUT… The elevator has broken a couple times and Rescue had to get the trapped residents out. The administration is unable to manage misunderstandings between staff and residents appropriately. Quite a few of the residents were hospitalized for a 'stomach flu.' Then the building was 'locked down' for 'disinfection.' NO ONE keeps me away from my family members, FOR ANY REASON! This place is NOT safe for your parents/grandparents!

I haven't seen my Dad in a while and came to visit him for Father's Day today. He told me that the dining room was closed due to a stomach virus going around. The building was clean and housekeeping was paying extra attention to sanitization. The receptionist was very friendly and I appreciate the efforts that were being made to keep my Dad safe and healthy. Thank you

Priority/Sky Active is the new management/ owner. They gave us a lot of lip service at first, with no follow-through. They raised our rent at least 200.00 /month, and next year will be the same. For my 6 years, that's 1200.00 just in increases. We have one very old elevator that is breaking down over and over. We only have one elevator for 3 floors. It will continue breaking down because they won't put in a new one. You should see the silverware they just bought. It's the cheapest I've ever seen. The food has been borderline yuck. We just got a new chef, so we'll see. There are some good things that keep me here. The people are the best part of Sterling Court, both management and residents. The activities are good. The maintenance is fairly good. Sterling Court looks nice. It's now 5/10/24, and I would like to update a little. We have Kelly from Priority, who comes most days per week. She's trying very hard to improve the situation at Sterling Court. She helped me get a 200.00 decrease in my rent. It was very high due to the increases over the 6 years I have been here.

My siblings and I have been searching for a place for my Mom to move to where she could be closer to us and have others living with her! We found the perfect place at Sterling Court! The staff there are wonderful! Marlene, Ann, Sherlyn, Luisa and Robin are all so very caring and kind to the residents there and they all pitch in to do whatever is needed to be done! The residents are very happy there! My Mom is so very happy there and says she loves living there! She has made many friends there quickly, enjoys the activities and the meals that they have there! I would highly recommend this retirement community!

I am extremely happy with the services that Hoilday Sterlimg Court offered for my grandfathere. Marlene was such a sweetheart and very accommodating, informative and she has such a passion for what she does. She greets you with a warm smile and a hug. From beginning to end she was such a delight to work with. My grandfather loves it there and calls me everyday to tell me all about how his day went. What a joy to see him happy and interacting with everyone at Sterling Court. I can't be more happy with everything.

Yes, I have been here at Sterling Court for about 13 years. I have gone through about 10 managers and I think that Ann is probably the best manager we’ve had she’s always there for you. She always seems to take care of the problems that arise, and she is a very sweet person she is also very good with the residence

Marlene was amazing when we first met with her re: my sister's need to move to an Independent living home. She was joyful and professional and gave us a full tour of the facility, Sister Barbara loved the place. It was clean and well maintained, She was also very happy with the sign up process, Marlene took care of all the details and followed up with need to know information before Barbara moved in. We have been searching for months for a place for my grandma to move back to this area to be closer to us. We went to multiple places and it was a “high class” feel like we weren’t worth there time. The other places made it seem like we were just dollar signs to them. We arrived at this location and were welcomed by Marlene and the whole time she made us feel like family my aunt brought my grandma to see the location. My grandma signed that day and called me to tell me how happy she was and how she is counting down the days to move back up here! BONUS they speak Spanish!!

This retirement community was recently acquired and under new management with the last 9 months of this posting. The staff is alert and caring. The resident each have their own apartment, which is a rental and added fees for food per person. Onsite programs include activities, Christian religious services on Sunday with a weekly Bible study, hair salon, etc. The activities include daily exercises, including a walking group, yoga, stretching, corn hole, and other group activities. They have an activities room where meeting are held, and other coordinated and casual gatherings occur. On the 2nd floor you will find a library, computer station, pool table, card tables and a TV for video games including bowling and the like. The 3rd floor has the chapel and beauty salon. Each floor of the main building has laundry rooms for residents, and the entry-level first floor is also home to the offices for administrative use and the dining hall where all meals are served. The facility also has private cottages with a full kitchen. The grounds boast lush trees and green space along with a screen enclosed swimming pool, horseshoe games, and a performance gazebo. The residents vary in age from 55+ to 90+ with a range of levels of wellness and health challenges. This community is not racially diverse, Whites are the majority, followed by Latinos from various regions and countries, and then Black and Asian people are the least represented. The food... The resident's chief complaint is food, and it is hard to please so many. Some people think sandwiches are not appropriate for dinner, while others don't appreciate the taste, quality, and lack of variety when it comes to dietary restrictions. They run out of certain options on their menu. Residents said it was better pre-covid. It's not gourmet. Certain foods are good. I have eaten there, and I agree with the residents overall. The place is undergoing long needed upgrades not handled by the previous management. This includes the roof and exterminators services. The pool was recently cleared out, and it looks great. My parents feel safe here even though staff is there until 8 pm daily. They also provide a life alert emergency pendant that residents can use in case they need medical help. I want to celebrate the following staff. Will and Cara who are servers. These 2 know the residents by name and are kind, considerate, and service oriented. Chef Rey works in the kitchen and does his best to interact and serve. Luisa and Ann are administrators who roll up their sleeves and assist with all the things that need to get done. They both do it with the love and honor of their residents. If the residents get out of line with staff members, Luisa and Ann let the residents know that is unacceptable behavior and all people deserve respect. Marlene and Robin handling new residents and activities compliment the work of Luisa and Ann while shining their own light at Sterling Court. Lastly, Shirleynn in the office has helped where needed and is kind. My final comment is on the availability of a guest apartment that is made available for family and friends of the residents. This is a private apartment located in the 3 story building. I appreciate having it there and available for me when I come to visit my parents. It makes things easy, includes meals, and is so convenient for me to spend plenty of time with them.

My father lived here for 5 years. With few exceptions, the staff and management was fantastic. Like anywhere else, cost cutting measures impacted the quality of the food over the years as well as maintenance issues. And there was no 24-hour on site staff at the end. But other than that, Dad was very happy there and we had very few complaints. Much better than most places.

My mom got sick, and then I could not reach her by phone. This could be a cold that she's sleeping off, or it could be deadly COVID, so we need more information on how she's feeling. I am about an hour out of town so I called Sterling Court. I could not get anyone from Sterling Court to do a wellness check (because they did not know what she had if she was still sick). They were of no constructive help in getting a wellness check. They basically told me to call all over town to find an at home COVID test, then to come down during their business hours to get a key (because I was told that relatives cannot have a second key for just this type of purpose) and check on her, or call 911 and hope for the best. Not a good place for elderly people living alone, IMO.

My Mother moved in here on 7, 17, 2020. So far so good with only a few minor problems. My mother really likes the food and is looking forward to experiencing her new home once COVID restrictions allow for a better overall experience that the community will be able to offer.

I personnaly witnessed the professionalism, care, and teamwork Sterling Court of Deltona Fl displayed before, during, and after Hurricane Irma; I was tremendously impressed by the Staff and Residents, how Everyone was able to come together, work together, and keep eachother calm, almost as if the largest Hurricane in Florida history wasnt even going to phase them. I honestly respect and appreciate this all around facility. Holiday, Sterling Court deserves their spot in the top rated Senior Home Facilities chart.
