I was in the area at the Deland Fish House and decided to stop by and get a brochure for a friend who is looking in the future to move into an assist living. I was immediately wowed by the beautiful and clean lobby. The people and staff conversing in the front cafe area were warm and friendly. The girl at the reception desk was attentive. I was surprised and taken back how regal the place looked. I am too young to consider moving into a retirement community for 10 years or so but I am hoping Grand Villa is still around when I am ready.

My name is Terrance Christian I'm 55 years of age I'm in a wheelchair motorized wheelchair I visited grand villa Friday September 20th 2024 and let me tell you the place is off the chain it's a five-star place my the person that I met with is a young man he's not even 30 has a good head on his shoulders Mr cold Ray and I met with Tamara they're both there they're beautiful people I met with chef John and John's assistant the dining room is like a restaurant they have a cafe area they have pastries donuts coffee and tea first come first serve it's a beautiful sitting area they have a swimming pool and a sitting area out near the pool they have a it's set in a beautiful residential retail area and their transportation these people are not phony these are they Tamara and Mr Ray and John and the activities director they're the way that they are 24/7 they're there to help you to be a better person better than you were to be independant. They have a movie theater beautiful they have lunch and dinner they have a la carte if you don't want the main option the food is five star and it's freshly made by chef John they have weekly activities daily activities the rooms are beautiful and spacious Mr Cole Ray did a awesome job of giving me a thorough tour of that beautiful facility

Jose came to evaluate Mom yesterday, and he was SO good with/to her! She took an immediate liking to him. Tamara gave me "the tour" today, and the weight of my decision to "place" Mom in memory care rather than continuing to provide in-home care lifted completely. This place is gorgeous, and they've thought of everything! The staff are friendly, not rushed; they were actively engaging with residents, and they were smiling! The residents were enjoying themselves, smiling and waving. I honestly believe Mom will thrive here as much as she can given her limitations, and any guilt I had felt after making the decision to "place" her has lifted. Praise the Lord for Tamara, Jose, Sarah, Adam and all the wonderful folks - and the "community" - of Grand Villa DeLand.

Highly recommend for anyone. Everyone so nice and pleasant and helpful my dad is here newbie everything from the time i was there and left was awesome. They knew who exactly I was visiting when I got there what room . Place has so many activities for people, clean , place where you eat all of your meals , pool, huge library, doctors on staff you don't have to leave. TaMara was wonderful. She was very considerate of my grandma's attitude about going to assisted living and really helped her feel like it was a choice, and a good choice. It's been a little over a month and my grandma is thriving 🙂 The months leading up to this decision, my grandma was living in her home, it was dirty, she had unopened mail piling up, she was extremely depressed and refused help. Now she has made friends and I know she is safe.

Grand villa is awesome. The new executive Director Dan is fantastic. He cares about the seniors who live there. The staff is just wonderful. The residents look happy and are definitely staying active. I highly recommend this community if you are considering care for mom and dad. Wait to you see how beautiful Main Street is. Check out the country store, beauty salon, post office, movie theater, wellness center and cafe. They even have a pool. Outstanding!

Recently, our family were considering an Assisted Living for one of our family members. We toured four Assisted Living Facilities, and Grand Villa is by far the best Assisted Living Facility. The three previous locations we toured were pitiful. The facilities were dimly lit, the rooms were small and cramped, and the residents looked so sad and depressed. Grand Villa is bright and cheerful. The facility is huge with lots of activities and amenities. While doing a tour with TaMara, residents were walking by with big smiles, and voicing how happy they are. Although we were not able to move our family member in at this time, due to a change in our family dynamics at home, Grand Villa will be our "go to" when we are ready. Thank you TaMara!! We appreciate all of your help!!

My parents are moving to Grand Villa of Deland in a few weeks. I have had numerous questions and Tamara has answered every one of them and given me peace of mind that this will be a great home for my parents. I visited yesterday and looked at the apartment that my parents will have and asked Chris (the head of the facilities department) for a drawing of the apartment so we can see what furniture will fit. By the time I arrived back home, he had sent it to me. I am impressed so far with the warm and friendly staff and the care for the new families.

I moved my Mom in a couple of years ago after much research into the 15 top facilities in the Volusia County area close to the family. Grand Villa made the top 3 of my list and after an extended visit, we just felt that this place was the best place for our Mom. Our Mom had dementia but was in a good place to live in Assisted Living for about a year. The staff was so diligent in every thing that they do. I had cell phone numbers of the staff that I could reach anytime i needed. We used it a couple of times when my Mom fell (no worries) and they quickly took great care of her. They have a wide variety resources that they work with locally like Hospitals, Rehab hospitals (this is really important when a sickness hits your loved one). The doctors come to the Villa along with hair dresser. The hair dresser Donna is fantastic and she takes great care of my mother each month. She sends me pictures and we set up an easy pay system. The pool is huge for my mother and it is a great add for the Florida life. The movie room is always hopping and so many activities every day and its so important to keep her going. She did move the memory care in the last year and it is fantastic. The staff really treat the folks there like family and you can always find out how she is doing. They have an outside location for some outdoors time for both sides of the Villa. I recommend anyone use the Grand Villa for your loved one. You will not be disappointed. Thanks to all the great staff taking care of my Mom for the last 2 years.

At the time of writing, this is a preliminary review of my experience to date with Grand Villa of Deland. I've been working with these folks for a short period of time getting my father transitioned from a nursing home to assisted living. The transition process has been great! Mary Elizabeth, Bethany, and Shantae (pls forgive any spelling errors) were absolutely wonderful to work with. We spent about 2 hours on our initial meeting, which included an exam by resident nurse Sarah, discussion of our various residency options, and a thorough tour. In subsequent meetings and phone calls, everyone took the time to answer my questions and effectively work through any challenges we had.During the tour, I noted the interactions between the staff and the residents we passed. It certainly says something positive when a resident comments that he's been living there for 7 years and considers the place home.As for the facility -- it's pristine. It's exactly as good looking or better than it appears in the photos you see on the website. This is essentially hotel living for seniors. I see a lot of friendly, happy faces among the staff, and in just the few days I've observed, I've seen a lot of effort put into communication between folks. That's what I like to see.If I have *any* complaints at all so far, it's that this place is in Deland, and I live in Sanford! LOL. Driving through downtown Deland to get here is a bit of a drag, but well-worth it. I'm confident that my dad will enjoy his time here.

Grand Villa was invaluable to me as my father decided to transition to an assisted living facility. The process started I am thinking in mid August 2022, with Adam, the Community Service Rep making contact with me. My father had some fits and starts recovering from a medical condition, yet Adam always kept me informed and up to date on what I needed to do as my fathers Responsible Person. Adam kept my Dad informed but also worked with a Senior Care Manager my Dad hired. After the move in on Nov. 23, I had a problem with Dad's Medicare Supplement policy. In one day, the Grand Villa Resident Care Manager Carolyn coordinated with me and she got all the medical history required for the Medicare Supplement policy. Info I did not have, yet sorely needed to file things for Dad. Also, kudos to the Executive Director for Grand Villa, Bethany, who patiently spent about 1 hr, 50 minutes on the phone with me explaining all he details of my Dad's contract agreement to move into Grand Villa. Looking forward to when I can visit and thank Adam, Carolyn, and Bethany in person. This place is first class. Val Snider, Colorado Springs, CO.

I would openly recommend Grand Villa of Deland. It is an excellent facility. The staff are caring and strive to make your days as good as they can be . I been a resident since September 27,2022 and my experience has been great! The level of care from every staff member is number one. I been in three other facilities like this one..some assisted living some independent and some both for the past 12 years with my wife until her death on September 17,2021 and can say Grand Villa of Deland has been the best of them. I know assisted living can be very expensive and most times you never get the bang for your hard earned buck..but here at Grand Villa of Deland you do. I needed a Medicaid waver to move in to Grand Villa of Deland and the assistance I received from Collen Guay and her assistant Mary Elizabeth was first class and way above what you would get from any other facilities. They were there thru the whole process..and it can get frustrating. My hat goes off to these two ladies and to the executive director Bethany Harrell who made the lease signing feel painless. Those of you who live in a facility like this know what I mean it can get hostile sometimes. The food is good..way up there..and that is more than you can say for facilities that charge over 3 thousand dollars. The care both to the person and there care is number one! And the care that staff gives you is rare thing in this time of dumping old people and forgetting them. It's been 3 weeks since I moved in and I still get visits from Mary Elizabeth, Collen Guay and Bethany Harrell..wow. I never did a review for the other facilities that I and my wife were residents of because there was never the human touch there. Here at Grand Villa of Deland you treated as a human being. Thank you.

Grand Villa has been a real blessing for our family. My Mom had some mild memory & health issues that required her to not be alone anymore. The staff here was so kind & helpful. They take the time to comfort her and work to encourage her. This has been a 360° turn around. Instead of sitting in a chair in front of the tv. She goes downstairs for her meals which she loves. She has made friends and eats with a group daily. She goes walking with her Walker & the group. She is herself again Happy & healthy . The facility is spotless and spacious. She feels Safe and we know this excellent staff us here for her. I no longer worry about her falling or forgetting her medicine or eating healthy or having people to enjoy around her! I am so very glad we. Hose Grand Villa!

My Mother-In-Law was one of the first ten into Grand Villa Assisted Living, Deland, Fl. My Mother followed shortly after, until she passed, and my Mother-In-Law eventually was moved to Memory Care for extra assistance and her safety. Barney has been simply great with the people in Memory Care and they almost seem to act as a family with him looking out for them. We visited many times, now once a week and we are always pleased to see Barney and the staff taking care of the people. Toni, Ede, Christian, and all the rest are just great. This place is the best we found after searching the east coast from Jacksonville to Port Orange, and West as well. Please make a visit and see for yourself, and your loved one.

You may not believe me, but I promise this is 110% accurate!! My Mother in law was at the hospital due to a fall. She was discharged two days later, with no warning, and advised us she needed 24 hour supervision or full-time memory care. We were not surprised, we had seen it coming. I called the Villas based on many positive references from our friends in the field. We called and were out in touch with Marty. Marty changed our lives in less than 48 hours. She and her assistant worked tirelessly with us, and we were a frantic mess! She walked us through several steps we had difficulty understanding on our own, kept all family members informed, and during COVID, had my MIL seated for dinner the next evening, by 5:00. (In quarantine of course) We received a voicemail from Marty an hour later, reporting how happy mom seemed, smiling, laughing and enjoying her first meal there. Until you go through this, you cannot know how important this service is. And to have someone go above and beyond the way she and her assistant did, is a complete Godsend! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We have hope that mom will have joy and peace in her life once again!

While looking into assisted living facilities for my father, I met with the staff at Grand Villa Senior Living Community. I was very impressed with the facility. It was clean, spacious, well-appointed, modern, and just what I was looking for. The staff, from the Director to the dining staff were all friendly, polite, helpful and professional. I know that my father got the best care available. He enjoyed all the amenities and interacting with fellow residents and staff. He really enjoyed the food and the service provided to him. She tells me that Jason the chef has made the food much better and that Stephanie the Executive Director has made some great changes to the community. My grandmother is now apart of their resident ambassador program where she greets new residents and helps them feel comfortable. Having to take a parent from their home into assisted living can be very hard. Finding Grand Villa of DeLand as a place for my Mom was a so wonderful. The place is sunny - windows everywhere- the rooms are spacious- my Mom had a mini suite. But its the staff that made me decide to place my Mother there. Iber professional - above all caring. My Mother could not have been taken better anywhere. The food was generous and creative. As was the staff on keeping residents occupied if wanted. And having nails and hair done was a great plus. Grand Villa of DeLand is close to banks, Walmart and Target - it was so easy to get items or go on weekly bus places to shop or try a restaurant. I was so happy to have my Mother reside here- I could not have chosen a better place in the Orlando, Daytona area.

My great aunt lives in the memory care side. I must admit that its been a while since Ive seen her and family tells me how well she is doing. I visited this past Thursday for the Family Holiday Party. This place was everything I didnt expect... it was clean, friendly and full of family and staff.
