To tell you the truth I felt terrible suggesting assisted living to my mom but when she arrived we were greeted by Tyce who made her feel so special he truly is an asset to the company. Along with Michael they explained the process to my husband and I and we were sold. My mom loves the place and I can't thank the employees enough for their kindness and smiles. My mom has lived at brookdale for one year and she is so happy there. I will mention the key employes that I have interacted with that are truly an asset to the community they would be Tyse,Michael,nance,patricia,vanessa,Wayne the dining manager is so kind to my mother along with the entire dining staff so patient with the residents and shavon always helps me and can't forget nick and Andrew. Having such a wonderful staff puts my mind at ease as she is given the best care at brookdale. I also referred my aunt Janet O'Brien to the facility and she is moving in shortly. Kudos to Brookdale

If it wasn't for Madeleine, Lorraine, Million, Patrick, Norma, Ana, Leslie, Lynn, Shavonna and Vanessa....my Mama would not be in this place. The ones getting paid the least are the ones that do the most. Michael Graham is the new Director and thank YHWH for that because this place needed him. He seems to be making some much needed changes in this place. Some updates need to be made, mainly in the Memory Care floor, but I am thankful for these people and pray that they continue to treat the residents with the respect and dignity they deserve. Activities are ran by the sweet and compassionate Ms Terylin. She is loving, kind, compassionate and very helpful. She loves the residents dearly. May change my rating, but as of now the whole place gets a 3star rating. The people mentioned get a 10star review.

Very excellent place to put your love one. The staff, office workers, nurses, doctors, activity coordinator, aides, cafeteria staff, cleaning staff and maintenance department does wonderful things and willing to listen to you and work diligent with your love one.

My 97 year old aunt is in memory care at Brookdale. Terilyn, patrick and Maddie, and the rest of the staff, are the best. They make sure my aunt is comfortable and well cared for.p I could not be more pleased.

I would like to first say my experience with Brookdale Deer Creek started about 10 months ago, when my father in law became a resident. As my wife has said in a previous review, overall we are very happy with the quality of care and staff at BDC. The one situation we would like to see improved is the activities and social events. Although there are several events through out the week, lead by Betthie Petion, there needs to be more offered to the residents. I realize Covid may have something to do with the lack of available stimulating activities but I have visited other Senior Centers, and there is much more that can be offered, including small trips. Let me state, Betthie who seems to be everywhere everyday, goes above and beyond to keep things interesting and continuous but this clearly isn't a job for one person. You can see how excited and alive the residents become when Happy Hour entertainment is upbeat verses the same old songs from the 1950s. The same applies to the daily activities. The residents need to be active and stimulated. My wife and I would like to see more choices offered to the residents, in particular, the male residents. We would love to see a few trips that are not to the supermarket or bank. We would like to see some help in the activities department, be it a hire or volunteers, so Betthie can offer the residents some new activities to stimulate them and engage with them. I realize this takes time and money but I feel it is imperative to the residents. I do hope you take these suggestions to heart. In as much as personal care and medical care are important to this age group, so is socialization. This is what makes life worth living. Thank you for listening.

I must say being a patient advocate for 29 years, I feel the administrative department and nursing goes above and beyond. Coordinating a transport of a patient from New York to Florida while taking so many precautions to keep the staff and residents safe during this pandemic .They provide a high quality of care at a very reasonable price. Take a tour of the facility and you will see For yourself that are family member becomes theirs, Its a complete game changer when they have such communication with their family members.#Dignity

We moved our loved one into the community several weeks ago during the COVID quarantine. Our sales person was extremely helpful and made sure the experience was top notch through every step. We were nervous making such a big step without being able to see the community but we had to take a leap of faith. There is the normal two week quarantine which isnt ideal but the community has been COVID free the whole time so it is a price we were willing to take to ensure a safe transition. Come to find out every community we researched was requiring a minimum of a two week quarantine as well. The food is delicious and we do love how we could visit our loved one through a glass door or FaceTime with them. I would recommend this community to others in the future.

My mother moved in kicking and screaming saying she was never moving out of her home and I had the POA so I moved her in after several falls in the condo and after three weeks of refusing to leave the apartment she started joining the activities like chair yoga, corn hole, and bingo,. Now she says she wish she did it 10 years ago

We moved my mom into Brookdale about 8 months ago after an extensive tour of Broward County ALFs, feeling it was the best fit for her situation. Since then, we've seen some positive changes in leadership that have given us a strong sense of comfort regarding mom's care. One night recently, my sister and I became concerned when Mom wasn't answering her phone at a time we knew she should be in her room. At 10:45 pm I called the front desk and expressed our concern. The attendant radioed the nurse on duty who did a bed check, found my mother comfortably asleep and discovered that her phone charging base was unplugged. This was all done within minutes of my call - we could not have asked for better customer service.
