My family and I have been looking for a place for my grandparents to move to. This place is beautiful. The staff here is extra caring and they all know each other, including residents. We have not moved my grandparents in yet because they are waiting for a bigger apartment. In this process the managers and staff have been super helpful and always very nice to all of us including my elderly grandparents.

My mother-in-law has lived here for the last 2+ years. I call it the cruise ship that never leaves port!! The food is really good for the most part, but the soups are always exceptional!! Lots of activities for the residents, and though there are around 130 residents, it has a comfortable feel about it. Management staff are always friendly and attentive, but there seems to be a revolving door for management because since my mother in law has moved in there have been 4 different managers and 4 different assistant managers. These changes haven't affected the way Orchard Heights has been run, but still, something to think about. The cleaning staff, wait staff, kitchen crew, and maintenance folks are always friendly, too. I highly recommend Orchard Heights.

Nope. UPDATED REVIEW My relative stayed here. Nice views, convenient location. Think upscale apartments with some amenities. Family situation with a scam artist put their name on elderly relatives checks. Frustrating legal situation. Little help or support from Orchard Heights. I understand they are in the middle and prob see this a lot. It’s not Orchard Heights fault but they could’ve been kind, helpful, and respectful to me not scam artist taking advantage. Please note this a national problem targeting elderly, especially with relatives living in another state, not Orchard Heights fault.

My father has neen a resident for six years. My mother passed away last year but she was very happy at Orchard Heights. I don’t know how they train the staff but whatever they do it should be bottled and sold to other businesses. Management lead by example and the staff, both full-time and part-time, genuinely care about the residents. They all have a great deal of patience. I take advantage of the guest room and meals when I visit so I have a good perspective as to what life is like there. I’m not ready for it yet but when I am I hope to move into a place like Orchard Heights GRL in Clermont.

My mother moved in to Orchard Heights in Clermont a few years ago and really loves it. My sister and I were concerned that she'd be unhappy there but all is good. There are a ton of activities and she looks forward to the Wednesday off-site trips. My niece even got a job there as a food server -- meals are served by wait staff at the tables.

I’ve had 2 relatives live at Orchard Heights and here is my assessment. Pros: Spacious rooms with efficiency kitchens, access to full-kitchen in common area, lots of great activities/exercise, hair salon on campus, nice dining hall with great food, residents are allowed to keep animals, transportation to scheduled appointments, group field trips, housekeeping, some laundry services, good safety features, friendly staff, utilities/basic cable included in monthly rent, 24/7 drinks/baked goods/ice cream access Cons: a little expensive-although less than others in town, they don’t provide any health or personal services and very little security. My grandma passed away and I was saddened by how quickly her room was cleaned and rented out again. I know that isn’t unique to Orchard. Retirement centers always do that, but it was hurtful while going through the grieving process. Since this is common practice, I didn’t dock them a star for it, but I sure wish there was a different way to do it. Prior to her passing, I liked Orchard. Great place to live overall.

My review must reflect that there are no serious bodies of water about. There are numerous places in which the American Alligator can be found in between rolling hills rare to the Florida landscape. All Florida; with all the amenities! Orchard proves to be a seriously secure, seriously taken community. County police main must be passed on the way in! Six stars from a concerned son's educated point-of-view. Good Luck.
