1. They could have been more helpful/ inviting on my moving day then just handing me a key and a folder. 2. The dryer doesn't dry my clothes. 3. When windy outside , there is something outside my window that sounds very loose and loud like it's going to rip off the building. 4. The elevator has been out of service 4 times since I've moved in on December 1 5. I would like a maintenance emergency phone number if something happens on the weekend or late at night

before you move into this building your going to need the following items 1. boric acid for the family of roaches that your moving in with 2. hot shot bed bug killer 3. bed bug proof mattress cover and pillow covers 4. bed bug traps for the feet of your bed 5. damp rid 6. your own portable air conditioner and / or and osolating fan 7. anything that combats mold 8. clear clothing bags for hanging clothes to prevent dust and mold 9. roach bait 10. roach sticky traps 11. anything that can seal bags of food so the rice weavles starve 12. the love and motivation for deep cleaning and organizing 13 financial stability so you can save to move out. most of these items you can find on Amazon for a reasonable price asside from the negative i want to edit this with a few positive things. the closet space is amazing. we can't hear anything going on with our neighbors when we are in our appartment except when you are in the hallway. I'm a dog lover and its been great getting to know people and their dogs here. the location is convenient being near gulf to bay. trader joes is 40 min away and is worth the trip every time.

Quiet and peaceful for the most part. The AC was an issue for a few months but has since been repaired. Trash needs to be better managed and there are missed opportunities for building a sense of community and creating culture. Not against coming back at a reasonable rate if the property, it's condition and its culture were to develop further.

I moved in a week ago and any concerns I had were addressed quickly. The entire staff here cares about people and it really feels like home. I'd recommend the Indigo to anyone looking for an affordable, nice community. Natalie and Roy helped me through the entire process from my application all the way through getting my keys on day one. My two wolf boys love it here too. I would give more than 5 stars if it was possible. Thank you all for everything you do!

I stopped by & Natalie in the leasing office was friendly & helpful. She showed me an empty apartment. I plan on moving there when my lease is up. I have moved here in March. The ambulances driving by frequently are a nightmare. Even with earplugs, the noise is deafening. I knew it would have a lot of traffic with cars but I didn't think of ambulances.. As for the apartment, the cleaning was minimal. The windows are filthy with cobwebs & soot. Ceiling Pipes had inches of dust. So check carefully before you move in. I've had a few roaches but pest control got rid of them in three visits. The people in the building are friendly & very nice. Staff is nice. However, the GM never says hello or acknowledges my existence. The Air Conditioner hasn't worked for a month. The tenants get emails with one excuse or another. Now, we're waiting for a crane that should be here Wednesday, June 14th to bring the part needed up to the roof. I have been living here a few months & I am miserable. It's Florida & hot & humid in my apartment.

Staff is very nice and try their best to help you. BUT the A/c goes out for weeks at a time, with no relief of rent or utilities. And when the A/C does get fixed it break again in 1-2 weeks and you repeat the process of trying to sleep and live in an apartment that's 90 degrees inside. The people who also "fix" the A/C don't work on weekends and don't provide a 24 hour service so when it breaks on the weekend it's days if not weeks till it's fixed again. Idk how they allow that with kids and animals living in this building it's unacceptable for how much we pay. I've been here for almost a year now and the A/C has been out 4 times now once being out for about a month with no relief.

The only downside is my unit faces Chestnut Street and the traffic sounds is terrible. The AC unit makes all kinds of rumbling noise and the hallway at times can be dingy. There are more tenants than I expected with dogs so it's a disturbing to get on the elevator with animals in close proximity.

We went to look at the model apartment and was amazed. It's such a beautiful welcoming community. Shoghi has been amazing! He has assisted and walked us through the application process. He answered everything while on tour and left us without questions. We can't wait to get my moved in and start our new chapter of our lives

Update: They made it up in the following months to make my stay better. The building has been improving but there is still issues with humidity in the rooms. Did not see any bedbugs or roaches anymore. I can recommend living here but only if there is nothing good in the area. Also the management is good, I can recommend them with my eyes closed, just read all the documents before sign (ALWAYS IMPORTANT) I feel I have to be honest about this place and help people make an informed decision to know what they are getting into. I initially though this place was great and that was part of the marketing, but this place paints something that it is not truly what it is. Be careful,don't let the remodel units fool you. Its a 1970 building or around that date, and currently there is issues with the water pipes, and therefore having humidity issues due to small amounts of water leaking through the concrete floors and/or walls and even mold at places under the flooring or paneling and fixtures (they have from time to time to shut down water pipes due to repairs), and there has been issues with the elevators in the past but that seems fixed (hopefully it stays like that as it was annoying for a while). Regarding the air conditioning, I don't know how to say it but its been a month with the air conditioning issue and not fixed yet as of today and residents are not happy about it. On my unit in particular, after I leave the air turned off for a while, after turning it on it smells like urine. there small roaches through the either the ventilation pipes or vents (the whole building, and some places more than others) and regardless of the pest control "measures" if it can be called that I had to take care with the matter in my own hands since I get tired of seeing them in the kitchen (I had to put some boric acid powder everywhere under it), at least I keeps them in control. The management is polite and do attend you but they pretty much say something you like to give an impression of security, but due to the issues with the whole building they can't do better (they will need time and more money my best guess). The price I'm currently paying is not fair for the issues I'm having, I even get white smoke coming out of the ventilation vent on my bathroom (and now after a while being forced to leave the bathroom door open to avoid worst humidity issues I respect the management and they do their job, but their priority is the building not the residents. And also read the contract, since something might appear later on and you might need to stay due to economic forces for breaking the lease. Make sure your unit does not have humidity issues, roaches at night, and also check the vents for any weird smell coming out of it (I was a bit sad and discontent as they did not believe me when I told them this nor they did anything about it) Still here due to economic reasons.

Been living here for 3 years loved my apt but. infrastructure from elevators, to heat and air broken down for extended amounts of time and water being turned off often. Not the fault of the staff who I think were doing the best that they could. In all fairness they are trying and the building went through extensive remodeling inside and out. Made lifelong friends there. Location is a big plus and maybe someday soon they'll get the problems fixed.

The Indigo Apartments have gone through major renovations both in terms of its exterior and interior. The leasing staff have been extremely helpful and accommodating during these challenging times. Nicki is hardworking and simply gets things done! She has been a great addition to the leasing team! If you're looking for an apartment in the Clearwater area, I'd highly recommend checking out the Indigo.

I moved in a little over a week ago and cannot rave enough about what a help Nicki was/has been throughout the process of securing my apartment and ensuring that I have everything I need. If it were her alone that I was reviewing I would absolutely give 5 stars! Unfortunately I haven't found the rest of the management team to be as supportive. For starters, I have a disorder that is not visible but a disability nonetheless and provided documentation of my dog's Support Animal status but was still required by upper management to obtain a doctors note confirming my condition. According to the ADA and HUD this should not have been required due to the fact that he is a certified support animal. In an effort to begin my residency here on a good note, but also to use this experience as an opportunity to further educate the property manager about "invisible" handicaps, I provided the requested doctor's note and asked if the manager would meet with me briefly to discuss this regulation. He has yet to reply and that message was sent over a week ago. On that note, I want to make mention of the lack of handicap accessibility for tenants who are in a wheelchair and require push-button door entry. Overall, I feel that this property is missing the mark when it comes to ADA compliance. Additionally, although I have found the maintenance staff to be incredibly friendly and available in emergency situations, such as I experienced the day of my arrival due to a plumbing issue, I also have been waiting for over a week for that plumbing issue to be resolved. I have a few other maintenance requests that I will be placing today (such as no heat, two stove burners not working, and pest control) and hope that these issues will be resolved speedily. I will update this review accordingly. Lastly, I have come to learn that the gentrification process taken by the new management company who purchased this building, previously a 55+ community, has been seemingly unethical in the way that they have nearly doubled the rent for most previous tenants, causing many elderly people to endure significant hardships in the midst of a pandemic and housing inflation. I was pleased to learn that the Indigo's property management company did recently bring on a social worker to assist these individuals in finding safe and affordable housing but I sincerely feel for the previous round of displaced tenants who were not provided this assistance despite having lived in this rent-controlled building for years prior to this transition to new ownership. With that said, I also want to give a positive report with regard to the common areas. The new fitness center is top-of-the-line, including a mini-fridge stocked with water and Gatorade (such a nice touch!), and the rec. room has a well-stocked coffee bar. Overall, I feel that this property has a lot to offer, including incredibly friendly tenants and a lot of dogs for my pup to play with! I understand that management is still working out the kinks and feel confident that my 4-star review will turn into 5-stars within the next few months. Again, I'll be sure to update this review as time goes on. 🙂

The Indigo has come far from where it began. I have been a tenant for a year now. The unit itself is pretty great, you need to pay for independent pest prevention if you don't want bugs (the free treatment they do doesn't work). The application fees are silly, as well as the security deposit amount. Rent is cheap, the location couldn't be any better. I love the indoor bike storage and gym. Unfortunate, the laundry facility needs maintenance and is currently neglected. Last year, someone was stabbed, and in a separate incident a handgun was involved. I like the place because of the location (the facility itself is currently being renovated and they have a long way to go). I've been waiting over a month to have my bathroom ceiling fixed (leak from the tub above my apartment), nobody has contacted me. Certain floors on the building smell like death, one resident almost puked when the elevator opened on the 11th and 4th floors (I don't blame her, it smelled like death). That being said, if you are just looking for a place to crash for a few days out of the week, and you don't really care about work life balance, this is the perfect dorm for you! If you have a family or are looking for something nice, look elsewhere. The property needs to maintain and complete current renovations before taking on new renovations. I am still waiting on repairs to my bathroom - one month later - so sense of urgency seems to be lacking.
