My husband was just admitted to The Windsor of Cape Coral and I have to say I am very pleased with the way they handled everything. Carol Schneider is the Sales Director and I have to say she is the most pleasant person I have met in a long time. She takes time with you and makes you feel right at home. I was a little nervous but after meeting with her and her showing me around It was like she was an old friend, that's how comfortable she makes you. I feel very good about the choice I made for my husband, thanks to Carol's sincerity toward me. I know he will be happy there.

Early demetia brought me to need more help with my Mothers care. I visited over a half dozen facilities near my home in North Ft Myers.There were several good choices but the family atmosphere and caring staff brought us to choose The Windsor last January. I am so thankful!! Mom enjoyed her garden room , friends at meals, and caring staff. The staff made adjustments to her needs as her demetia increased and gave us choices to help.I visit every day , so see clearly the staffs caring and teamwork. She began wandering and became more disoriented, so she moved into memory care in August. Because she knew most of the staff, had the same folks for pt , ot , and nurses she made the transition easily. Everyone pitches in to help with whatever is needed for residents. Her young great granchildren love to visit this happy place They truly are amazing ! And the desserts are delicious

One of the things that really stood out to us during our time at The Windsor was the exceptional customer service provided by Carol Schneider. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the facility and its offerings, and went out of her way to make the entire process as easy as possible. She was there for us every step of the way. But the standout feature of The Windsor is undoubtedly the facility itself. It is clear that no detail was overlooked in the design and construction of this beautiful space. The layout is intuitive and easy to navigate, with plenty of spaces for residents to gather and socialize. And the food - oh, the food! - is truly exceptional. We were blown away by the quality and variety of the meals, and it's clear that the kitchen team takes great pride in their work. Perhaps the most impressive thing about The Windsor, however, was the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Despite just being on a tour, we were greeted with open arms by staff and residents who were eager to show us around and share their experiences. We knew immediately that this was a place where our dad could feel at home. In summary, we cannot recommend The Windsor of Cape Coral highly enough. The emphasis on independence, dignity, and purpose is woven into every aspect of the community, and the exceptional customer service, beautiful facility, and fantastic food make it an unbeatable choice for anyone looking for a top-notch senior living experience. The facilities are meticulously maintained, with a well-trained and knowledgeable nursing staff. Residents actively participate in daily activities of their choice, including both physical and occupational therapy. Religious preferences are respected, and the staff work collaboratively to assist residents with mental or physical limitations. The library is stocked with novels, non-fiction books, and DVDs. The decor resembles that of a four-star hotel, complete with a living room and courtyard. Mail is personalized, either delivered to individual mailboxes or directly to apartments. Dining options are nutritionally balanced and thoughtfully planned. At night, entry is restricted by a coded locked entryway. Personal care services, such as showers, shaving, and beauty treatments, are scheduled according to each resident's preferences. Disaster preparedness measures, including supplemental medication, food, and water, are in place, and evacuation plans are provided for each apartment.

My husband, Ty was part of a small group of friends that had lunch together every Tuesday--last Tuesday they came to The Windsor to visit with Ty---and Kathy, the caregiver arranged for them to have lunch with Ty! My MIL was recently widowed and moved from IL to live with us in FL. After a couple months, she was ready to have her own place and after visiting many places, we all knew that the Windsor was the perfect fit. We started with Carol, the Sales Director, and every single staff member we've met since has been genuinely warm and welcoming. She's only been there about a week but has made friends, played cards and Bingo and wishes she'd moved sooner. If you are looking for a small community of warmth and excellence, I can't recommend The Windsor highly enough.

My mom has been here for 2 months and I couldn't have found a better place for her. What you see when you walk in is what you get 24/7! The staff is like family to me. They are engaging when they see me, which is VERY often. The place is always immaculate, the food is delicious and the activities are consistent. My mom gets excellent care and attention, her apartment is always clean and she is checked on regularly. I would recommend the Windsor to anyone who is looking for care for elderly parents or other family members. Five stars for sure!

I don't quite understand the only two negative reviews, except they seem to be from a former employee who worked there for about a month and his wife. My Mom has lived there for 3 years and I stop by 2-3 times a week. I have never been discouraged from going there to see her and every employee is friendly and engaging. The place is immaculate and always smells and looks clean. I always jokingly ask "Have you seen my Mom?" because I know that she's either hanging out with the friends she's made there or involved in an activity. She has thrived since I moved her there and I no longer have to worry about her. I can't picture her living anywhere else, and believe me, I've looked at other assisted living residences.

The windsor at cape coral is not an assisted living facility. It's home. 5 stars is not enough. From the moment you walk in you feel as if you're home. My mom has been a resident for 18 months and the love and care she has received from everyone at the facility is superb. Each member of the staff, no matter their position, shows genuine care, concern and love for each and every resident. They all not only are wonderful with the residents but also with me and my family. We feel as if they are all an extension of our own family. I do not have enough words of praise for the staff at Windsor Assisted Living in Cape Coral. FL. My Mother has been at Windsor Assisted Living for almost about 9 months now. Prior to that, she had lived independently in her own home, but we had faced many struggles with getting her the increased care that she needed while living in the home. Repeated hospital visits caused a challenge each time for her to be able to go home and live independently. The cost of in-home care was very expensive, unreliable, and did not provide all of the services to meet all of her needs. I fought putting my Mother into Assisted Living for a long time, but when we were in a position last November where we needed to move her expeditiously, I asked one of our hospice nurses what the nicest Assisted Living Facilities in the area was. Without hesitation, she recommended the Windsor. I called that same day and asked two questions: Do you have availability, and do you accept cats? The answer to both was yes. That same day I received a phone call from Chad, who walked me through the process of moving Mom from her home to the Windsor. He answered all of my questions about the facility, but also alleviated my fears and provided some encouragement about how great this transition can be. Prior to this, I saw Mom moving out of the home as a loss of independence. What I can see nine months later, is that my Mother’s move to the Windsor has actually increased her independence. She has gained weight. We have her medications finally sorted out and monitored. The Windsor nursing staff works closely with the VA and Hope Hospice to ensure Mom gets the care she needs. Even Mom’s cat, Millie, is well cared for. Chad even personally helped my Mother (and her cat Millie) move from Mom’s house to the Windsor, because I was unable to fly down there to assist. This was really going above and beyond. Recently my Mother had to go to the hospital for pneumonia and shortness of breath, which are a common part of her disease. When she was living in the home, this would have been a crisis. The Windsor made her transition back home from the hospital seamless. I even received a text from Chad saying Mom’s home!. When I called to get an update, the nursing staff was very kind and considerate to my emotions. I am so grateful for them. Every staff member from the front desk, to sales, residential life, nursing staff, housekeeping, and dining and beyond are all truly wonderful people. The Windsor is beautifully kept, clean, thoughtful and the space is thoughtful and considerate of the needs of the residents and their families. The building is coded for Florida storms and hurricanes, with generators, so that I don’t have to worry about the power going out, or mom having to evacuate. These were all concerns I had in the home. The food is delicious! The presence of pets in the building makes it feel more like home. I know for many that Assisted Living can seem expensive, but when you factor in the room, board, food, 24 hour care, housekeeping, utilities etc. the costs are less expensive than what we were paying to keep Mom in her home. The last time I was down visiting my Mother, I walked out of the building as I was preparing to fly home and thought to myself this is worth every penny I honestly cannot thank the staff at the Windsor enough for taking such great care of my Mother, better care than I could provide her in my own home. The security of having her somewhere with people I trust is also better for my own health and sanity. I am sure there are many Assisted Living Facilities in the Ft. Myers/Cape Coral area, but I am glad that I stopped looking when I found the Windsor. It has become an important part of the final chapter of my Mother’s life and I am eternally grateful.

Exceptional value for the expenditure, the outstanding management staff ensures high quality care to the residents. The ambiance of The Windsor is inviting and homelike, the staff is always, repeat always, friendly, helpful, and solicitous of all of the needs of the residents. My wife and I visited many other assisted living facilities before selecting The Windsor for my mother. Her only complaint is that she has absolutely nothing to complain about. She has said on several occasions, There is no other place I’d rather be.

My husband's beloved mother, has resided at the Windsor in Cape Coral since April of 2016. We are so grateful for the foresight and care of the administration and staff during the Covid-19 crisis. In addition to having no cases of the virus to date, the staff has continued to keep the residents engaged in activities to keep them both stimulated and healthy. The love and dedication of the staff is palpable when we visit. It is such a treat to receive the newsletter every month and see the smiles on all the faces. We spend our winters in Cape Coral and visit The Windsor everyday. So, what we observe is not just party manners. it is a wonderful place to be in everyday. And provides us peace of mind that our loved one is well cared for and happy to be exactly where she is.

Not too big, not too small, but just right to care for your loved ones. I have a 7 year experience with the Windsor of Cape Coral. My lady friend started there with mild dementia and Parkinson's disease. She was able to communicate and could take care of most of her hygiene and daily personal functions. What I liked about the Windsor was their "cafeteria" style care options. It allowed you to save some money if your loved one could function somewhat independently but allows you to ramp up care as needed till you reach the maximum of 2 staff members helping to move the resident and assisting in their daily care. What I really liked about the facility was the Living room and dining area. It was always lively and kept the residents engaged. I found the vast majority of their staff to be compassionate and caring people, they definitely KNOW their residents . My friend was never treated like a hospital patient. She did have some less than desirable interactions with some staff members, but I found management to be responsive to our concerns and corrected the situation immediately. The facility has the feel of a Marriott and the food is pretty good, I just wish the chef would cook for his audience, crispy and spicy didn't work out so well. They have the Reflections area which is a more care intensive lock down unit. It prevents patients from wandering out of the facility. My friend was able to reside here right up to the end with the help of Hospice care. Put me down as a very satisfied customer, I will recommend them to anyone looking for quality assisted living care for their loved one.

This place has been a blessing since day one! I had to move my mom from a different facility that wasn't what we thought it was. My mom has improved so much due to excellent care, that she moved from memory to assisted living. She has gotten very social, playing bingo where before she wanted to lay in bed. I love this place for my mom! Any time I have called with a question or request they are always accomadating and never once made me feel I was bothering them. Such a genuinely beautiful facility.
