Recently moved mom to Brookdale. It has been a very good experience. Started working with Tracy and everything went very well. Easy room selection and sign up. Mom moved in and is socializing again. Going to meals with others instead of eating alone. Staff checks on her every few hours which is reassuring. Thanks to Tracy and the team for a good experience.

A family member has been there 3 years. Started off good, but communication has gone dramatically downhill. Several months ago this family member fell and was transported to the hospital by ambulance. NO call from the facility at all. We found out when this family member called us directly from the emergency room. Also, it took almost 45 minutes for anyone to go to his room after he hit the emergency button while lying on the floor. We went back and forth regarding this lack of communication with no satisfying answers, just an apology as an oversite. Next, there were piles of dirt on the floor made by some insects. We requested a clean up and a week later the piles were still there so we emailed pictures of the piles of dirt and it was then they did something. Today we received a text from a pharmacy that a medication was ready for this family member. We then called the prescribing doctor who advised pneumonia diagnosis after xrays were taken. AGAIN NO communication from the facility. Went to office to discuss and was given many excuses... they called 'someone' but could not advise whom. Stories made no sense. This is totally unacceptable. Thank goodness we live very close and can be on top of things. The staff that help with his daily living are very nice.

My in-laws just moved into Brookdale in West Boynton Beach. I couldn’t be more pleased. My in-laws have just settled in so peacefully and the meals are fantastic. The staff is incredible and Connie and Tracy have gone over and beyond to just make my in-laws welcome just such a easy transition for this last years of their life.

The staff and executive leadership are excellent. I am friendly with the sales staff as well as the front desk people. They are ALWAYS helpful. We moved my dad and they made the experience perfect for us. Thank you to the staff and leadership. My special thanks to the sales person on site. BRAVO!!!

Very disappointed. Went to visit my grandma and the front desk staff said she works in the nursing department and doesn’t have answers to my questions. I don’t have time to wait and they never call back. Get some trained staff for the day time at least. This is getting out of hand.

My father's ability to live on his own quickly declined over the past few months with frequent trips to the hospital due to him being a fall risk. While he was in rehab, I was referred to Brookdale by a case manager due to the fact that they have a skilled nursing license. Once it was determined that dad can no longer live on his own, Tracy at Brookdale was able to move quickly to get him a room. Traditionally, my father was a very independent person so I was a little concerned about the transition to a ALF, but the staff at Brookdale has been very friendly, accommodating and understanding to his needs while going through this transition to assisted living. I sleep better now, knowing that he is in good hands at Brookdale.

From the first moment we walked into this place, the reception was so warm and professional that I was very impressed. My husband who is very hard to please that I really like this place because of all the people who spoke to him and especially the personnel who paid a lot of attention to him. These people have a dynamic that is healthy, honest and transparent ask them anything they will answer.

Stay away ” this facility has many people that care but quite a few that have attitudes” the bigger issue is they are completely understaffed for the size of the facility and it’s like a ghost town on the weekends. Very little care staff, no activities because back to the staffing issue they have only one activities director (Monday - Friday) so they feel it’s acceptable to have nothing going on all weekend. I tried to very objectively like the facility but the bottom line is you can’t get the care you need with the staff levels they have. I routinely receive calls late morning on the weekends that no one has been to assist yet and it’s near lunch time. The aids are regularly apologizing and explaining they are short staffed ” sometimes as few as 2 for the facility ”particularly in the evenings ” it simply doesn’t work. I think there are better run facilities and I would suggest you invest the time to compare.

The nurses in the nurses office and the staff there have offered excellent attention and care for my step mother! They have gone the extra mile for her; I am very grateful for their knowledge and close attention to her health issues. She is in good shape thanks to them. Her overall health has improved.

Depending on the level of care needed for your family member, if person is able to walk or use a walker to get around - Brookdale is adequate. If in a wheelchair this would not be a suitable facility. The aids do not respond in a timely manor to assist wheelchair bound residents.

What an awesome experience! Helen, Anastasia & Rosita have gone over & beyond helping me get my mother set up living here. There are many others working in the background. Not to say there hasn't been any bumps in the road but we have all worked together to make it work. In fact, I just moved my 2 cousins in as well!

Daniella Josma did an amazing job of helping my mom get assessed, accepted and moved into the memory care unit at Brookdale. I have 5 children and 4 little ones in virtual school. I had one week's time to find a place for my mom while getting adjusted to virtual school. I'm very grateful for Brookdale. When I see my mom she is well groomed and cared for. Excellent job!

I could not have done this without Danielle leasing coordinator. She was so kind caring and instrumental with the moving in of furniture knowing exactly what would fit and what would look good,and making sure the apartment was clean. Moving is always stressful but your help was amazing and so appreciated .

Brookdale West Boynton Beach is a beautiful community and the staff is very attentive to the residents. When I am ready to find a community of my own, this one will definitely be on my list. They have Supportive Living, Assisted Living and also Memory Care.
