Stay away — this facility has many people that care but quite a few that have attitudes— the bigger issue is they are completely understaffed for the size of the facility and it's like a ghost town on the weekends. Very little care staff, no activities because back to the staffing issue they have only one activities director (Monday - Friday) so they feel it's acceptable to have nothing going on all weekend. I tried to very objectively like the facility but the bottom line is you can't get the care you need with the staff levels they have. I routinely receive calls late morning on the weekends that no one has been to assist yet and it's near lunch time. The aids are regularly apologizing and explaining they are short staffed — sometimes as few as 2 for the facility —particularly in the evenings — it simply doesn't work. I think there are better run facilities and I would suggest you invest the time to compare.

The nurses in the nurses office and the staff there have offered excellent attention and care for my step mother! They have gone the extra mile for her; I am very grateful for their knowledge and close attention to her health issues. She is in good shape thanks to them. Her overall health has improved.

Depending on the level of care needed for your family member, if person is able to walk or use a walker to get around - Brookdale is adequate. If in a wheelchair this would not be a suitable facility. The aids do not respond in a timely manor to assist wheelchair bound residents.

What an awesome experience! Helen, Anastasia and Rosita have gone over and beyond helping me get my mother set up living here. There are many others working in the background. Not to say there hasnt been any bumps in the road but we have all worked together to make it work. In fact, I just moved my 2 cousins in as well!

This community was very nice and almost has a hotel feel to it. The Sales Manager that showed me around was very knowledgeable and the apartments were great sizes. I love that they had an outdoor pool which is not traditional for assisted-living‘s since my father is still active. The prices were about average but much less compared to all the other new ones around it. The Sales Manager that showed us around and said that we are not a brand new shiny penny but we do have a beautiful community and have been here 20 years, so its not our first rodeo. Our Expertise is providing quality supportive care. I really loved that! I definitely plan on selecting this community when my father is out of the hospital.

I really enjoyed visiting this community with my sister. I like that there a separate dining areas, and lots of activities for the residents to do and no one is forced. The buildings looks newly renovated and every floor has a sperate activity area outside of the apartments-which I thought was nice. My father ended up needing a nursing home so we didnt move him in but too bad--- because I would have selected this community. The lady that showed us around described it as living at a hotel and that is soo true.

Daniella Josma did an amazing job of helping my mom get assessed, accepted and moved into the memory care unit at Brookdale. I have 5 children and 4 little ones in virtual school. I had one weeks time to find a place for my mom while getting adjusted to virtual school. Im very grateful for Brookdale. When I see my mom she is well groomed and cared for. Excellent job!

My clients are always amazed by the wonderful lay outs and HUGE closets that this wonderful place offers! The sales team is always a pleasure to work with and keep in touch with us so that the transition for the residents run smoothly. Its always clean and the rooms are bright and welcoming. Maintenance is very helpful too. Highly recommend this place for your loved ones for meeting many needs.

Let me say, first of all, that the leadership given by Helen is outstanding. She sets a wonderful example and exudes warmth to all that come to Brookdale usually under stressful circumstances. That was the case for me as several medical conditions led me to find a new residence for my sister after her stroke. It was a very difficult decision I needed to make and the two people who took me under their angel wings and provided the information I needed were Helen and Dannie. They are professionals in disseminating all of the valuable information and knowledge needed in making an informed decision as well as conveying a very real sincerity of compassion, understanding and empathy. My sister now resides at Brookdale and I would like to thank Helen and Dannie as well as the fabulous staff, each and every one of them who have gone out of their way to make my sister feel welcomed, cared for, safe and heard. I really liked the layout of this community. The fact that that my mother can do independent and assisted in one room is amazing. The apartments are nice and are adequate. I love that the lady that showed me around said the apartment is just where our residents sleep but we consider the whole community their home. I am so grateful to have found this place after looking at so many others. I felt they were the best. The prices were fine for our budget and we believe in you get what you pay for. We are happy with how my mother has transitioned so far. Cheaper is not always better when it comes to the care of your family.

My mother has been there for almost a year. It has been very difficult moving her from her home to Brookdale. But very necessary for her safety and health. It is costly, but she is in a safe place and is happy. Thank you to all the staff for caring for my mom.

I’ve been part of the Brookdale family for almost four years now. I came from another community that was previously Brookdale and it was for Independent Living. I can tell you that this has ALWAYS been one of my favorite Brookdales since I have started in this industry. The up keep and grounds on the outside of the community are wonderful, they offer 5 entrees for lunch and dinner and breakfast has 2 delicious entrees. The dining aspect alone is ran on a tight ship and I can say Karen does a great job and you can tell that she instills this is her dining staff! The staff does a great job on coming together , the endless support from Regional level in this community is priceless. Maitenance is constantly working within the community to keep the community beautiful, day in and day out . I really give it to them for the hustle they do. Different varieties of floor plans depending on your likes such as smaller kitchenette or larger ones, etc. Reasonably priced for the same thing a brand new community could give to you , plus a pool that is being renovated. The residents are very cognitive and active within the community. Memory Care is always full and has excellent bilingual staff who are very nurturing and active with the residents, my favorite part in Memory Care is the screened in porch and baby room. Everyone experiences Senior Living differently , how I may experience may not be the same as you would , the best way to experience something is to see it for yourself!

This community is a lovely intimate community. The courtyards are beautiful and the grounds always seem to be nice and clean. Lucy at the front desk is sooo welcoming to the visitors and residents, I love that they always write the names of residents and visitors when they come into the lobby.

I can personally say the Business Office is ran well! We make sure that our residents feel that their personal financial matters are taken care of. As the current Business Office Manager, I make it priority to answer voice messages, emails and letters sent by residents or their family member in a timely manner. Come visit our community, I'm sure you will fall in love with it!

I live in conneticut and I went to this facility for my mother who is in rehab. The community is beautiful as you walk into the lobby and its really clean. The sales lady there was so helpful and just put me at ease. She explained everything to me and got my mother assessed right away. The studio was all she needed and the upgrades are nice. My mother needed more of a nursing home setting which i was disappointed about but this location is worth visiting

As a current employee and Director of our Memory Care unit I thought I would share some of the love I see going on daily. the Residents are happy and I see the staff treat them as if it were their own family. They know when the littlest thing is not right . the staff in memory care have all been there many years with the longest being 17 yrs. , this is important to keep things routine as possible. we have fun daily weather it is our weekly bus ride or music entertainment to things as simple sitting on our patio having coffee with a few residents .we like to promote their independence as the person they always were.
