Nice place, but advertised as 'chef-prepared meals?' Our relative lives there; for the price, the excuse for food that they serve is awful. Pay more for better kitchen help.

Well, I had no experience with what "living facilities" were really all about, and now I'm realizing that an independent living facility is an introduction to what all the other facilities are going to be like as I transcend from independent to assisted to... I can't compare the facility to other facilities, but I can certainly say I want for nothing here, except maybe being able to have a double cheeseburger delivered to my room. Seems this place has a limit of how much food you're allowed to eat. There is a constant flow of people coming in from early in the morning to late in the afternoon. That was something I had to get used to. Now I like it because everybody who comes in is concerned about me, and a lot of them have great personalities. From the people at the front desk, to the maintenance crew, to the management, to the people like Cleone who bend over backwards to make sure I'm comfortable, safe, and am able to live my best life, I couldn't be happier. My only complaint is that you can check out any time you like but you can never leave. As long as you pay the rent.

Choosing an independent living facility is a big decision, but Windwood Palms became so much more than just a place for my Pops to live”it became his family. He was incredibly happy here, and as his daughter, I finally had true peace of mind. There are a few things that really set this place apart: * Exceptional Staff & Care: The team provided personalized care tailored to his specific needs. The chefs even went out of their way to offer delicious low-sodium meals to keep him healthy. * A Vibrant Community: There was never a shortage of activities, and the other residents truly became his best friends and family. * Affordability: It is a great value for the high level of service and care provided. What moved our family the most, however, was how they handled his recent passing. From the moment he died, the staff and residents became our immediate support system. The Administrator called me almost daily just to check on us and offer help. Beyond that, she helped organize a beautiful Celebration of Life for him at the facility. She took the pressure off and said all you need to do is show up. It was a stunning day that allowed his friends there to join our family in honoring him. They are kind, compassionate, and outstanding professionals. I cannot recommend Windwood Palms highly enough. I do believe they hold our seniors’ happiness and safety as their top priority.

I am a new resident at this wonderful place. This is the place you need to be when you are looking for a home. You get three meals a day (delivered, pick up, or dine in). There are so many activities you can enjoy daily. The staff is so caring and professional and always greet you with a smile. I haven't visited the hair and nail salon yet, but I'm sure they will treat me with a smile. They also have a medical staff and transportation bus. They are right, IT IS HOME.

Wonderful independent residence. Took my mom by for a tour. This was our 5th tours of places in the area. Cindy was amazing. You can tell she really cares about her residents! Excellent decision to rent from Winward. The people are very helpful. The restaurant is pretty good. The facilities are fantastic and overall the residents are all pretty friendly. It was a good decision on my part moving here from Texas.

I would still be there if you could get help when you need it. Every month my rent was different and no one knew how to fix it. You owe me money. The tables were never set. You had to take from other tables. I’m I would not recommend Windward Palms to anyone. Send me the money you owe me.

I recently moved a family member in here and found the place to be clean, affordable and the staff very friendly. My dad loved his ground floor apartment and the food has been good- maybe they straightened some things out since folks seem to be happy. I think it's what you make of it but for the price its great and I would choose it again.

Set up my mom and dad here cause we needed to. When we were getting them in, we were told a bunch of new things were gonna happen, and as of yet, it hasn't happened. That was back in May 2023. There's been a bunch of changes over in staff. From my understanding, some of it was for good reasons and some of it not. The food is ok (according to my parents), but another of the times there are dishes listed on the menu (they get a choice of a main dish for lunch and dinner. So they get to choose 1 outta 2), and they actually won't have one of the dishes. So they get to look at the days menu in the morning and think about what they want throughout the day. Get to dinner, and the dish they want might not be available. For example, if you don't have it, don't list it on the menu. Also, my parents are picky eaters. And another of the times, the one dish is something they don't like and won't eat. So I have to make sure they have things they can put together at home in case this happens. That was one reason to have them in an independent living place, so they wouldn't have to worry about groceries too much. Or having to prepare a meal. (My dad has ALS, so I didn't want my mom to have the added pressure of meals) They did have a fantastic activity director, and was actually getting my mom into some activities (she's an introvert) but alas he was one of the ones let go. So I have given this place a 3 star for now because it is just ok. It has room to grow and improve, and I hope that they do. Of course, if things change, I will come back and update.

I was very surprised when I visited the rehab section to find it so clean so friendly and it actually smells very good. Usually I never found a place that smell that good and I could see all the equipment that they are using and I was impressed

I lived here for three months. The staff changed often and 'corporate' did not care about the residents. Food, at times, was inedible and they went through three cooks (not chefs) without success. Cleaning was a hit or miss as the staff did double duty with other responsibilities and very few activities were provided. This could be a great place, as it is in a good location, but it was not.

I have looked for a place for my mom for months. As soon as I spoke with Liz about our needs we knew we found a home for her at Windward Palms. Liz has followed up diligently, accommodated our requests, and helped us with a live video tour since we are coming from out of state. We want mom in Florida next to family yet independent and provided for. She needs social activities, meals and house keeping. The remodeled common areas are beautiful. It’s a big move, but I feel the care and independence will help mom thrive. We are excited for this next step!

Gloria outdid herself helping me settle into my apartment! She is top notch! The food is excellent- great portions and service! And Dwayne helped me set up my TVs when no one else could! Danny was also great helping me organize and get comfortable. Charisse and Liz went out of their way to answer questions. I feel welcomed!!!!

This place is amazing. I have been overwhelmed for 2 weeks trying to figure out where I was going to place my mother who needs her own apartment (space) and has all the amenities and needs under their roof. It is an all inclusive independent living arrangement. I reached out last night and this morning at 10:00 am they were welcoming me with open arms and solutions. It was breathtaking and unbelievable how their staff treat people and loved ones they care for. I toured the facility today and signed to get my mother in. I had other appointments lined up but no need to go any further. Elizabeth and Charisse were the kindness, friendliest, supportive and understanding resources I met. Their level of professionalism and dedication could t make me more happier to sign up today. Thank you to all and looking forward to having a relationship with the staff.

Staff is beyond nice. My mother in law moved in from another place and the difference is night and day. Nice apartments with lock in rates, wide well decorated hallways and bathrooms. Richard runs a nice family oriented place. The food is not institutional but very tasty. Music played in the halls gives this place more of a hotel feel than a nursing home atmosphere others have. I also have no issues finding parking and there are plenty of shopping venues and activities very close by if you take your family out. Plus they have other places your loved one can stay if they go on vacation. Almost like a substitute home. Ask them about lock in rates as well. But as I said the staff is great. Kind, helpful, nice, and always there.

My father lived at Windward Palms for 3 years and just moved out to be closer to family. He enjoyed poker with friends, evening entertainment and trips to the casino. The place is clean with a beautifully renovated dining room. The part my father will miss most is the staff. Everyone was so friendly and they truly care about the residents. The General Manager, Richard was very kind and took the time to wish my father well in his new home. Thank you.

My mom has lived here for 4 years. My only complaint would be the quality of the food on occasion. I feel mom is safe and happy with friendly staff and residents.

It's basically an ALF. There is nothing special about this place it's moderately clean, furnishings are old, and appears to be one step before a Nursing home. Workers are friendly, cost to live here is a little high for what you get, but if you need a little assistance, and have no one else this could be your place.
