We’ve only been here a month but from the office staff to the maintenance people, this place is run extremely well. We have been welcomed every step of the way here. The food is terrific, everything is spotless and everyone here is friendly and welcoming. My sister and zi feel very safe, comfortable and happy here. Best choice we could have made.

A rare occurrence has happened in the independent living facility industry . A treasure has emerged for those over 55+ who are seeking a senior independent living facility can share in. It is Diamond Oakes Village in Bonita Springs, Florida. When looking for a senior living facility the important factors are cost, location, quality of life, food, service, safety, friendliness of staff. Diamond Oaks Village excels in all of these factors. The complex is fairly new built in 2017 an originally open as a 55+ community. In June 2024, it was converted to a independent living facility by Discovery Corp. They have a variety of 1,2,3-bedroom floor plans to choose from. All include a screened in lanai and indoor parking. Pricing is the lowest in the area: My 2br/2ba 1176 sqft unit is $2855/month on a yearly lease basis with no enormous buy-in expense. You will find cost is at least $2000/month lower than anywhere comparable. Similar cost savings are available on all size units. The food is beyond comparison. Their chef, has19 years experience at a major Las Vegas hotel. Each dinner meal is fixed from scratch and it is like eating at a four-star restaurant. There is an NCH hospital emergency facility located right next door. So medical assistance is within sight. Also, the sheriff's office is located a mile away which is an added deterrent in an already extremely low crime area. Many senior living facilities there is a pall over the atmosphere, and you cannot wait to leave. Not Diamond Oaks Springs. They have decorated the entire facility in an upscale fashion. The staff have been to train to treat all residents and visitors as guest. There are always fun activities if you choose to participate in them. I have met no residents who were not happy with their surroundings. And you look forward to the meals. It is truly an enjoyable dining experience and each time the menu changes there are new exciting culinary entrees to choose from. Other features that I appreciate are the maintenance dept lives on site. I had two small issues, and maintenance responded within a few minutes and the issues were resolved. A really important consideration is you do not have to evacuate during a hurricane. Which is unusual for Lee County, which has mandatory evacuation for most senior living facilities. I believe the reason for the exception for Diamond Oaks is that it new up to code construction, no ground floor units and it is on the same electrical grid as the hospital. Electricity has never been out for more than a few hours. At the last facility I was at it was mandatory evacuation during Irma and the cost was $800 or $200/day to stay at a local hotel. It is rare for an equinox of reasonable cost and outstanding food and services to happen in the senior living industry, but it has at Diamond Oaks Village. All the senior living facilities owned and operated by Discovery Corporation are given extremely high ratings by the Wall Street Journal. They are considered a premier company in this industry. I know a few residents that live here friends with my aunt. It was so nice to see that my family friends live in such a thriving community. The staff & management are also so friendly! When it comes time for my aunt to look into independent living I know what our first choice will be!!

I cannot say enough great things about Diamond Oaks as a community. The staff and leadership team are amazing and compassionate about their residents. The community itself is beautiful. The rooms are appealing and provide a nice variety for residents. Location is of close proximity to many amenities which the community has as well. Absolutely wonderful community!

Fun place to call home. Lots to do if you’re so inclined, in a great location. Everything is nearby. Staff is great, residents friendly. It would be wise to read more current reviews. Discovery accomplished more in months than previous companies did in 5 years. We’ve been here since Diamond Oaks Village opened seven years ago, so have some experience.

What a wonderful Independent Living Facility!!! Thanks to Harlee and Scott for making my visit both pleasant and informative. Immediately you feel the warmth and comradery of the staff as they take the time to greet you. The grounds are clean and user friendly. There's an attitude that the residents should have a say in the operation of things because after all, it's their home. Very refreshing!!! Apartments are well designed and bright with nice views while the closets are so spacious. In addition to your clothes and necessities, there is room for storage as well. Thel pool is really nice with lockers for use, shower and restroom. All water exercise equipment is there for your use anytime. Inside has multiple activity rooms, bar w/ lounge, a bistro for eating a meal or just snacking. Meals are made to order for the dining room and available all day long. It would be in your best interest to consider Diamond Oaks as your next residence. REALLY !!

Diamond Oakes is a great place to live. The apartment is cozy and all the residents is like having one big family. There are lots of activities to participate in and socialize with each other when you want to. The food is great here and this is easy living.

The new management group, named Discovery, took over Diamond Oaks Village a few months ago. This new team, with Scott Ullemeyer as the Director, and a staff of very professional, caring people has bumped-up this independent living facility to a 5 Star place to live. The location is ideal. The calendar of activities has made it pleasing to all. Exercise classes, games, socials, bingo, resort style pool with water aerobics every Friday, Thirsty Thursday's for gathering and good times for all. Did I mention breakfast in the Dining Room and soon to be opened Bistro with Chef Mullen. So, I personally recommend living here. I do. Marie K. at Diamond Oaks Village took over about two months ago.

Update: August 21, 2024 A couple of months ago a new management company, Discovery, took over here. As hard as it would have been for me to imagine, they have made things even better! If you haven’t looked into living here recently, look again! It’s fantastic!!! This is the absolute best place I’ve ever lived! Even friends visiting me rave about it! Beautiful apartments, pool, and clubhouse! All the activities you could want! Super-friendly residents and staff! HEAVEN!!!

On a recent tour of Diamond Oaks Village, I felt welcomed right away. It was a time of Mardi Gras and chocolate fountain in the lobby for Valentine's Day and there was a lot of positive energy going on, I found the grounds to be beautifully landscaped. I noticed the covered parking as we were walking to the apartment and found the buildings attractive and well kept. The apartment was fresh and new and very affordable. There are lots of activities going on onsite but the location is good for easy access to shopping and dining out. Also appreciate that there are healthcare services very nearby. Would consider living here.

Having been here 2plus years am disappointed in the decline that has taken place. The things promised and what has transposed since we signed in are 2 different ideals. Gone are breakfast beverday, which was in original lease... New owners have chosen to do happy hours with mediocre food instead. Not sure some should be drinking??? Just a thought. But really, new owners have not really considered who is living here with leases prior to them buying. They are only concerned about filling apartments and not always with 55 plus, which is what most of us came here for. Think a reisment should be done with new owners long term plan. Because right now... Not the greatest, unless you are short term. Because you are renting as your house/property destroyed in hurricane Ian. Then to you it's fabulous.

PLEASE NOTE that the dates of previous messages are 2019 & 2020. Diamond Oaks has been sold since then and is now under new management. This place has really gone down hill. No more FREE BREAKFASTS, now charge for TRASH & WATER which all three were included in our rent previously. They also quit the former transportation service which was stopped. If you don't have a car and need to go to the doctor, drug store, bank or grocery store, your on your own to hire Uber, a Taxi, or bus at your expense Plus our Rent will also go up when we sign a new lease, which I am not going to do, These all amount an increase in our rent. I highly recommend that you don't reside here. It use to be a wonderful place to live. We Loved it until the new Management company took over. A lot of people are leaving as there current lease expires. GOOD LUCK if you ever decide to live here,

Now paying for garbage so all these cans are outside doors do not fit under sinks. Tenement looking... Not at all attractive.they are stating to nickel and dime, too bad as was a fabulous place to be. Breakfast... Was free not now... Regular diner prices... Transportation ... Not any more .. seems like trying to be another apt. Complex. Not independent sr. Housing.?
