I am a friend and companion for a resident here and go at least once a week to spend a few hours with her as it brightens her day and gives her someone else to speak to, I wish everyone there had that extra help of a companion to help entertain and converse with as it really makes a huge difference to them. There of course will never be enough employees to just spend time one on one or family members for that matter. But the facility does its best to have so many various opportunities to break up their day. and even lunches out on certain days. Every day is some kind of treat/ice cream for all who desires it. There is a great garden and beautiful landscaping for all to enjoy in the back and it is safe for all. Then there is fun bingo every day, which everyone seems to love $$ and Lisa is the best bingo caller! Or you can play your own games at your own table. Sometimes they show movies with popcorn. There is a library for all to enjoy and jewelry making and a salon and so much more...The happy hour prior to dinner is very fun and sometimes there is a piano player. The dining room is so nice looking and no one has to eat alone. I have not tried the food but it does look delicious.I like how everyone seems to know everyones name and always so friendly and caring as well as providing a clean environment. When I leave there I feel good about leaving my loved one there as I know she is being paid attention to and cared for in a lovely place.

It was a difficult decision to move my mother into an assisted living facility but each and every staff person that I have had the pleasure of meeting has helped to confirm that I made the right decision. I have been so pleased at the professionalism and quality of care. From the administrative staff, nursing staff and everyone in between I am so grateful for their compassion that has helped to make this transition a pleasure.

If ZERO STARS was an option I'd leave it! This place is the worst! My Aunt is a resident there. They won't let me or any family members speak with her!?! When we call the facility they hang up. They don't return phone calls. I'd STAY AWAY from there because something isn't right with this place!!!

I set up a loved one to move here about a month ago. I saw MANY ALFs (mainly in Broward). When I saw the Atrium, I knew my search was done -it just made sense to make the commute from Broward. First and foremost, John Zimmerman (sales/marketing director) does not pressure you and is very down to earth. I feel he did not use any smoke and mirrors and gave it to us straight. The residents have the ability to walk outside in a safe gated courtyard when they would like. The property is clean. There are many activities - but I don't mean that they have a calendar up and nothing ever happens. There is a very busy Bingo, poker, book club, and soooo much more. They are fortunate to have FAU campus VERY close to their location. As such, students are involved to help run these programs. It is great to see young people around. My loved one kept stating that she felt like she was on vacation staying in a hotel and that she is on a permanent vacation! She truly loves it. The nursing and wellness director, Cassandra is amazing. She knows her residents well. Her team is very kind, loving and thoughtful! Emily, Move in coordinator and so much more, is a breath of fresh air. She is kind and thoughtful. Takes her time with all the residents. Michael Graham, who is the executive director is also patient and a real professional. There are many more to mention ...but just know, they are a spectacular team. Go check them out- ask for John!

Ive been very satisfied since Simone Dunkley has been the new administrator. She has been in communication with me in regards to bringing my mother back and seems to genuinely care. Im also very impressed with Heather from the business office. Because of this I made the decision for my mom to stay at the atrium Im excited for her return. She had broken her ankle but is doing very well and excited to get back to her activities there thank you Maria also.

I work in the medical field, so I appreciate patient care. I was very impressed with the patient care and attentiveness. I felt like I was a priority and there was a genuine feeling of care. I want to mention that Angela Valera was amazing and felt like a family member for us, taking care of my mom. Angela made the experience a positive one, during these difficult times of COVID. I want to do a shout out to The Atrium at Boca Raton. My amazing nana, Doris has been living there since November of 2013. She first moved in the assisted living section. When they felt is was necessary to move her to their memory care floor they were spot on. My mother can sleep well at night knowing that she is well taken care of. My Mother lives at the Atrium and I am delighted with her care. Let me say, I have been an RN, certified Care Planer for 30+ years. I'm NOT easy to impress or fool. Nowhere is there more loving and dedicated staff. I am sure there are better SPOKEN aides, but not more loving. Her meds are delivered on time, correctly, ALWAYS. The med Tech knows what she is doing. Mom's apartment is well kept, her belongings respected. Her privacy and independence are respected, while she is STILL safe and secure. Activities are endless, age appropriate and varied. Frankly, I ENVY WHAT SHE GETS TO DO! I often drop in on evenings to catch the concerts!! Building is well kept up, in good repair. Decor is lovely, not over done no unnecessary changes. IMHO, that shows poor use of resources, and confuses/disrupts residents. My ONE complaint? I cant live there too!

I spent the past week (March 27 - April 3 2018) at the Atrium visiting with my mother. From my initial call with Ana, a warm and incredibly welcoming person (if you are considering the Atrium, make sure you meet with and talk to her) to speaking with my mother nearly every day since October 2017 the Atrium staff works diligently to accommodate the varied needs of their residents. There are multiple programs available for the many residents to vary their day and my mother found one she enjoys and a special chair was provided so she could sit comfortably. A special thanks to Victoria and her dining room staff along with the outstanding kitchen staff and chefs. The meals are excellent, nutritious, tasty and wonderfully prepared - there are always alternative menu items if you don’t want the evening’s primary meal. Satisfying the residents is no easy task, however, I saw a lot of “eating” and many “cleaned” plates. The core of the Atrium and their purpose are the staff who are responsible for the physical care of the residents every day. This is a very difficult job, but they are the ones who can restore dignity to the elderly men and women residents. Seeing your Mom or Dad clean and properly dressed each day matters and if we take a moment and realize that could be us years from now and how would you like to be treated? I met numerous daily caregivers and was truly touched by the kindness and concern I witnessed. Rose immediately comes to mind and is one of Mom’s favorites, however, the many other caregivers I met during the week were all professional, kind and caring while working with my mother. I thank you with all my heart for the very difficult but tremendously important job you have and please be assured whether or not you are told how appreciated you are. Our piece of mind for our loved ones depends on your successful work.

A Good Choice For Your Loved One In February 2018 my Mother got to the point where she needed more care than my wife and I could provide for her. She was 100 years old. We looked for a local Assisted Living/Nursing Home and decided on the Atrium. From the very beginning we were impressed by everyone we met there. The first day they invited the 3 of us, my wife my Mother and myself, to have lunch in their dining room. We liked that the dining room was very well kept and that on every table there was a Menu. The Menus listed the special of the day along with the regular daily offerings like hamburgers and tuna sandwiches that are available every day. The food was very good. Easily equivalent to what you would expect at any local restaurant. We were then shown various rooms that would be available. The one we selected was on the 4th floor. It was a good sized room with a large window that gave plenty of light. After we signed up they redid about everything in the room. The maintenance people were great. New paint, new carpet and they even replaced the AC unit. When Mom moved in we were consistently impressed by all the caregivers that helped her. I can't stress this enough, the caregivers consistently not only provided physical care but also treated my Mother with the same respect a friend would. They actually cared. Each resident is given a pendant to wear that when pressed called one of the caregivers. They assisted with showering, dressing, helping her to and from the dining room and getting her to the bathroom (this was very important). The Atrium has a number of activities available. Arts and crafts, exercise physical therapy room and even a beauty parlor. Ice cream every afternoon, happy hour with wine every day at 4, bingo movies and live entertainment at least Fri Sat Sun. I have recently been to The Atrium at Bocca Raton for the first time. I was and am extremely impressed with the genuine care given to all people who come through their doors, residents and family members alike. I'm amazed at the friendliness and smiles of staff and the general family, home type atmosphere. The beautiful garden for fresh air and out door visits. This in it self speaks volumes for being a top notch facility. Activities galore! However, not "just activities". Rather, meaningful, fun, learning, brain strengthening, age and era appropriate activities. As well as allowing families to be interactive ... And even ice cream ! Which seems to be a favorite. This is wonderful! From what I witnessed, Residents appear content to happy, no matter the medical need or specific unit need. All in all the staff are very attentive, The Atrium at Bocca Raton is clean, active, cheerful, and safe for your loved one in need of care. Again, I'm impressed. I've seen many facilities at this level of care and none, not one, comes close to the genuine care received from The Atrium at Bocca Raton.
