I have a family member at Brookdale Lake Orienta and wanted to provide my impressions after 6 months. Brookdale has provided a very welcoming environment. The staff and leadership have been outstanding both in terms of caring for the residents as well as communicating with family members. I definitely appreciate the visiting medical staff to include a primary care physician, a podiatrist and cardiology support. Less visits to doctor's offices and waiting for your doctor can not compare to this. I also appreciate the tailorable "assistance" that can be provided to your loved one dependent on their specific needs. The dining staff have been wonderful and the food is good and nutritious. The facility also has a fairly active social calendar which includes events inside and outside the facility. Yes, there are hiccups that occur during the stay, but my experience is that it is easy to get them addressed. Whether it is housekeeping or maintenance or even the nursing staff, it is easy to contact any of them and get a situation addressed and corrected.

My aunt is doing well now that she is in Brookdale at Lake Orienta. Joe Mcbride made sure my aunt had a nice room and everything was ready and she felt welcome. She gets 3 good meals a day so she is eating better and looks healthy again. The staff is very nice and they help her and clean her room, change her sheets and wash her clothes. I know that if she were to fall or needs help someone is there to help her. She is able to get her hair and nails done since the hair salon is on the first floor and she can walk there. The staff arranged for my family to have her birthday party in the cafeteria and my aunt loved it! Highly recommend.

The memory care facility is very deficient. My mother in law has Parkinson’s and requires precise dispensing of her medicines. We continuously have to confront the nursing staff as they often skip the medication, deliver at the wrong time of give her the wrong medication. This is a facility that we pay almost $7000 a month with a lot of sacrifice, assuming she was going to get the care she needed. We put a large non refundable payment on a facility we are not pleased with, and we are not sure if other facilities are any better. I do not recommend this facility to anybody for memory care.

We were in a time sensitive situation when a family member was released from rehab and would need assistance. We visited many different facilities in the area and many were not up to par at first glance. This location is beautiful! They have independent living and assisted living, also. Instead of levels you just pay for the services you need. They have activities all day, every day. They bring in some top notch entertainment and offer transportation to off site events. The location is so convenient right across from Advent Health Altamonte. When Jennifer gave us the tour she assured us they could work with us to get him in a temporary room asap and they did. I can't thank Jennifer and Joe enough for helping us get transitioned quickly and helping us with the process. Our loved one is in his own apartment and it feels like home. Residents can decorate their space to suit their needs. The maintenance staff was very helpful and even hung some things on the wall for us. Everyone at the facility has been kind, caring and friendly. We love going to the restaurant style dining room. The food is really good and the residents have many choices from the menu but can order how they like it! The dining staff really takes the time to get to know residents and their families. We signed up for the in house physician and the communication through the portal has been great. They ordered physical therapy immediately, which they do in apartment. Dad came in a wheelchair but now is getting around on a walker. He is so much stronger and healthier! They have a family event every month. The pics are from June's luau and they went all out with decorations. They had an entertainer on the steel drums, the place was decorated and the food, so delicious! Dad really enjoyed the Pina Colada cupcake with coconut ice cream and I loved the coconut shrimp. Thanks Jennifer and Joe @ Brookdale! We made the right choice!

I put my father in Brookdale in December 2019. All parties involved said they where Medicaid approved and I had nothing to worry about if and when my father declined, to be moved in memory care. In June, I received the call that it was time to move him to memory care. When I began the discussion of cost and pay, plus when would they or us start the Medicaid process, I was told they are not an approved facility. Long story short they gave my fathers bed in memory care to someone else and forcing me to move him. Disgusting ...and decietful.. I

Beautiful, Resort-Like Facility From the staff to the facilities to the ammenities, Brookdale Lake Orienta, has been the best decision we could have made for our Dad. He is happier than we have seen him since Mom passed away two years ago. Tim and Joe made the application process easy and the move in without issue. Jeanie, the Health & Wellness Director, has gone above and beyond to be sure that Dad has been cared for and accepted in the community. He is enjoying the daily food offerings, the ability to meet new friends and the convenience of the location. Thank you, Brookdale. We couldn’t be happier

My father was so grateful for such a warm, cozy, clean, attentive and compassionate place to have lived. Unfortunately he was not able to financially afford it at this time. Although it may be an option for the future for memory care. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for an assisted living facility.

We were faced with the challenge of finding a perfect place for our Mom. Never having been faced with this, it was quite an eye opener as we visited different facilities! Thankfully, we were so happy with how bright, cheerful and friendly this place was in comparison. Tim took us on a tour and we were able to view the different floor plans available. He took the time to answer many, many questions (and still does after our Mom being there for 5 months)! Mom is thriving there and has made many friends. With her not being able to drive, she was quite isolated where she was previously. She is very social now and attends many of the different activities they have for their residents....she especially likes all the music and history programs they have, and most of all, the wine down happy hours! She now eats a much more balanced meal than before and enjoys the variety they have. We highly recommend Brookdale at Lake Orienta! Check the place out! Joan H's daughter and son in law

Two of my favorite things at Horizon Bay Lake Orienta is dining and activities. They offer all day dining so you don't have to be at each meal in a smal 1 hour window. There is a good selection of food so you don't always eat the same things. I also love the variety of activities offered every day. Today there was a performance where they sang and performed scenes from Fidler on the Roof. Always a good variety to keep you busy!
