My mother was there for almost 6 months. I have visited many rehabilitation centers and Cadia Pike Creek is superior. The place is clean, the staff are professional and friendly. When my mother arrived she was unable to walk. The team worked on a program of rehabilitation that helped her learn to walk again. I give this place 5 stars

For five days of the week the facility and most of the staff staff are pleasant, competent, and attentive (things drop off on the weekends, though, understaffed?). DeShawna and Trina are helpful and pleasant at the front desk, and Megan and Lily are great, positive, therapists. One high school nurse in training from St. George’s High was especially kind. Food wasn’t bad. Staff will encourage you to get out of your room to attend activities.

After a week in the hospital but still unable to walk, I was advised that I required both physical and occupational rehabilitation. Thanks to my daughter, family and friends, we chose the highly recommended Cadia Healthcare Pike Creek. I was transferred to Cadia soon after. The facility was clean and personnel were friendly, helpful, caring and respectful from day one. They had my room ready and the transition was flawless. The various staff were welcoming, supportive and clearly shared my path forward. I want to give a huge Shout Out to my primary Therapy Team: NATE, P/T, who was professional, patient, caring, had great stories and made therapy fun!; TAYLOR, O/T who was professional, patient, caring, helped me dress, had stories as well, and made therapy fun and Rachael, P/T also pitched in when needed, all managed by Lisa Goodfriend, Director. These folks are not only respectful, supportive, and dedicated to their work, they raise spirits by caring and adding humor. They did such a good job that I am now an out-patient!! Special thanks!! The nurses, aids and assistants were also supportive, respectful and even encouraged me to attend patient activities, e.g. bingo, crafts, nature "walks" and other games. A shout out as well to Jackie (Social Work), Kim, RN, Brie, and Quanni, for their compassion, kindness, respect and caring. I would like to thank ALL at Cadia for my successful recovery. Your compassion, patience, encouragement and dedication has lead to my walking again! Cadia has done such a good job that I am now an out-patient, receiving therapy twice a week at Cadia and am doing great. THANKS TO ALL FOR BEING THERE FOR ME!!!

During my rehabilitation I encountered the most amazing loving and caring health care workers. I would like to recognize Deshawna Hawkins and her entire staff and all of the therapists that assisted in my rehabilitation. Not only was the care phenomenal, the facility was clean and cheery. My daughter and several friends visited daily and were always treated like family by the staff. I can't say enough wonderful things about Cadia Pike Creek. Thank you. Virginia Parker

I recently completed over a month as an inpatient at Cadia at Pike Creek for rehab of a spinal cord fracture. My therapist, Nate, was very knowledgeable and professional. He had the balance of encouraging me to make good progress but never too much to cause frustration. He was always upbeat with a smile. I was so pleased with the care he provided that I have decided to continue on with Nate as an outpatient. I can’t recommend Rehab at Cadia at Pike Creek enough. Thank you, Nate, for all you have done for me!

Our experience at Pike Creek has been very supportive with open and honest communication from all of the therapists and support personnel since our mom arrived. Chere immediately made our family feel like we were making the right decision and that Cadia Health Creek Pike Creek would not only take care of our mom’s medical needs and rehab but also our families needs. Chere continues to check in with us and provide support and guidance while navigating this very difficult situation for our mom and family. Thank you Chere from the bottom of our hearts with your dedication, support, and care for our family.

I stopped by your facility on August 2 to visit with a friend/resident. I just wanted to pay my compliments to the staff. The Facility is beautiful! It is very, very clean and the staff were really attentive! I told the staff members if anything ever happens to me this, is where I want my family to place me!

Overall very pleased with Cadia Pike Creek on helping my mom (now 80) recover from a broken ankle and most recently 2 ischemic strokes primarily caused from Covid and severe sleep apnea. The care she receives is wonderful and a special thanks to both Andrea (her social worker) and LPN Sterling Douglas. Sterling provided my mom oral care following a red protein oral supplement which left her mouth red-stained and I thought she was bleeding. His diligent care in removing the staining gave my mom a warming smile and further reinforces why this facility is top choice for rehab care.

The care is good, food ok but not consistent. There is absolutely NO parking except on weekends. Or if you get lucky during shift changes. There have been HUGE potholes since the first of the year and NO lighting at entrance from street. Too easy to miss from either direction. Apparently maintenance is NO a PRIORITY. I don’t usually complain because nothing is perfect but when you are dealing with patients then they have to come first.

I brought clothes into Cadia Pike Creek for my sister on 1-26-2024. Today, 1/29, the patient still does not have them. -- The patient had been in Cadia the month before and the clothes I brought had been marked by Cadia, with the patient's name at that time. Today the patient asked 3 people for her clothes & has not received an answer.

I cannot say enough good things about Pike Creek Cadia. When looking for a rehab facility for my mother. We toured many of them and Cadia(Pike Creek) stood out for many reasons. One reason is it did not smell when you walked in and it was very clean. Once there, my mother got outstanding physical therapy and occupational therapy. Lisa, Meghan, and Stephanie were rock stars! They made my mom feel safe and secure while encouraging her to push yourself to get stronger and safer so she could go home. The nurses on the floor. We’re also very kind and patient even though sometimes it seems like they were short staffed. They never made anyone feel like there were. Same with a CNA’s. They were always helpful kind and patient with the residence. I hope we never need skilled nursing facility again. I’m glad that we found Pike Creek Cadia and this will be where we go and where we would recommend our friends and family to go. Outstanding quality care They are five stars in our book.!!!

Everyone in the PT division was exceptional, especially Nate and Tayler who saw Jack everyday during the week. They worked extremely hard and were dedicated to him. They brought him from a horrible condition after the hospital and surgeries to an almost self sufficient status, able to use a walker, feed himself and so much more. They will be missed by us. My husband would not have made it this far without their professionalism and dedication. We cannot thank them enough. However, your Social Services Manager, Andrea has proven to be inept in her position. Late May an aide broke my husbands hearing aid. Andrea told me someone was coming to the facility in June who could fix this. Late June - no one showed up. I (Barbara) gave her the address to have a staff person deliver the hearing aid to to be fixed. She put it in the mail. The bill was paid incorrectly. She ignored me then I was waiting to speak to her in her office over 2 staff people. My husband is being transferred to Brynn Mawr tomorrow 8/18 T NOON. Still no hearing aid!!!!!

EXCELLENT!! Cadia is the epitome of what a rehabilitation facility should be. The standard of care here is second to none. The facility is cheerful, bright and spotless with a homey feel. The rehab staff, led by a strong, compassionate leader, is hardworking, committed, friendly and dedicated to helping their patients meet and exceed their goals. They truly were a gift to my father and our family. This is where you want your loved ones to be. THANK YOU to everyone at Cadia!

Any time you are looking for recommendations for your loved one, you want to make sure that the facility is clean, friendly, knowledgeable, and transparent. Being able to leave a loved one in someone else's care is hard because you worry whether they are receiving good care. I'm starting my review with these two statements because when I looked for a spot for my mother, I had to rely on word of mouth and what I could find online. Cadia Pike Creek not only met the initial requirements, it exceeded them! The level of care is incredible and everyone was so friendly and helpful. And I do mean everyone: nurses, aides, housekeeping, admins, and most especially the therapists (huge shout out to Nate here!!) Most of us have experience with other facilities: good ones and bad ones. This is a great one. I cannot possibly say enough good things about this facility. It is clean, open, and very well-run. Your loved one will be safe and you can relax knowing they are well cared for at Cadia. To those who work at Cadia - thank you. Thank you so much for what you do and the kindness with which you do it.

I came to Cadia about 4 weeks ago after suffering a compressed fracture to a vertebra. I I was in a lot of pain. I have a lovely room and the entire staff is amazing. After therapy twice a day, I’m ready to return to my apartment at the Summit. This is not my first visit to a rehab facility. It is however undoubtedly the best. The aides, nurses, therapists are knowledgeable and have made me feel part of the team to get me back on my feet. A major difference is it’s a happy place. Everyone helps each other. I would give it 10 stars if I could. If you need rehab and want to be in a happy, efficient place come here! I even just celebrated my 95th Birthday here!

My mother was admitted to Cadia in late January after a stay at Christiana Hospital for Covid. Her bout with Covid took a major toll on her ability to function and, despite being clear of Covid, after leaving the hospital, she was able to do little more than lay in bed. Her stay at Cadia lasted over 4 weeks and during that time she made outstanding progress recovering from the devastating issues of Covid. She went from bed ridden at admission to actively assisted walking at discharge. The staff at Cadia is tremendous and I would particularly call out the rehab staff--they were all professional and extremely compassionate, they had a genuine personal interest in my mothers recovery and made an effort to help even after discharge. They focused on the needs of my mother and worked very hard to help her achieve her goals. The rehab facilities and equipment were state of art and very impressive. Also at discharge the team did a fantastic job of coordinating care and lining up all the necessary services. The facility is very attractive and very clean. All of my interactions with the staff were outstanding. Her clinical and rehab team also provided outstanding level of communication of my mothers needs and progress. For a loved one's care, I would highly recommend Cadia Pike Creek.

I collaborate with Cadia Rehabilitation Pike Creek as a liaison for Amedisys Home Healthcare. I keep in close contact with the social worker Ray and help patients as they transition home after their amazing stay at this facility. We work as a team to make sure the patient has the services needed in place upon discharge. We provide skilled nursing for wound care, medication, and disease management. Physical therapy and Occupational therapy can also be provided to have patients continue their strength and endurance training in their own home. Once they are discharged, we make sure they follow up with their primary care doctor in the community. Ray and I talk most weeks to assess the needs and see if we are the right fit. I appreciate our relationship and will continue to work closely with patients leaving this facility once their stay has come to an end. We service both Maryland and Delaware. Kindly, Sharon RN

Cadia was a great place to build up strength and weight after a long stay in a hospital where I was just skin & bones. All employees were motivated and friendly. My problem was with the Physical Therapist, who over did it during the last of a 5 week stay. After making great progress, I hit a limit where further leg work was triggering my RSD (chronic pain) and increasing foot pain. He shamed me into continuing, and thought I was risking his daily "check mark" record for my progress. He saved his record, but that was the last place I could walk. Instead of returning home, I've been in assisted living confined to a wheel chair ever since. Thanks Bxx !

Our 85-year-old mother recently spent 6 weeks at Cadia Pike Creek recovering from a hip fracture. My siblings and I cannot say enough about the quality of care she received. The entire staff, from the administrator (MC Rodgers), to the social workers, therapists, nurses and housekeeping, were kind, compassionate, caring and responsive. Even the food was top quality! Although we were not able to see our mother in person during her stay, we were able to face time with her frequently. On a daily basis, she looked well-rested, well-fed and in good spirits, even though she was mostly isolated due to Covid protocol. Having a loved one in a rehab facility is never easy but especially less so during these pandemic times when in-person visits are not possible. Due to the responsiveness of the Cadia staff (both to our mother and to us), we never once had to worry about the level of care she was receiving. Our mother quickly met her goals and was discharged home sooner than we had hoped. We have no doubt that this was due to the exceptional quality of the Cadia staff and the care she received from them.

My Mom, who's 94, was sent to rehab from the hospital on January 5th. We choose Cadia Pike Creek. Due to covid-19 restrictions, it's tougher than usual with a family member in rehab. Not being aloud to visit is hard on the patient and the family. I have to say the staff at Cadia Pike Creek went above and beyond to make her comfortable and keep me informed. From time to time someone from therapy, nursing, social services or the dietitian would call me and give me updates. Sometimes good and once in awhile not so good. Thanks Cadia staff. And special thanks to Ray (Social Services), Tracy and Stacy (Unit Managers), Kathy (2nd floor nursing), Noel (OT), and Heather (Assistant Director of Nursing), and Valeria (Dietitian).‘‘

My [stubborn] father in law spent the better of part of January, 2021 here and I can honestly say this place is amazing. We were in a tough spot because not only couldn't we come to see him due to covid, we were quarantined due to my upcoming surgery. In other words, we had to rely on Cadia 100% throughout my father in law's stay. Tarayja (Ray), his social worker, was so helpful in updating us on his condition and telling us what he needed, which we had delivered via Amazon. I was so nervous doing that, but the staff handled everything without a hitch. I even got a follow up call from the administrator to let us know all of the items made it to him. Taylor, and the rest of the physical therapy staff, worked diligently to get him rehabilitated; while also keeping us updated on his condition (and trying to convince him to stay longer). Finally, I truly appreciated Taylor and Ray's help in setting up some in-home care including physical therapy, Bayada for his wounds, and even Meals on wheels (which was much better than my father in law's plan of ordering a pepperoni pizza from Pat's). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this facility to anyone who asked! Thank you so much!

On behalf of my family, I would like to thank Cadia Pike Creek for the care of my mother. After leaving the hospital, she had to go to another facility in Philadelphia. Her outlook and therapy slowly regressed especially with this COVID world we currently live in. I felt I was slowly loosing her. I was fortunate to get mom in Pike Creek Cadia in June. Her care with Mike and the entire respiratory team excelled. There was weekly contact on her progress. We were always able to video chat with mom and she would always say how good the staff was and making her smile. Lisa in PT always tried to get mom to the next level and kept us updated on her progress. She really enjoyed working with her and the OT team. The nursing staff was wonderful and I am sure they struggled on weekends but as I talked to mom each one spent time with her. She said how great they were! Conner and Jesse. Even to the aids, Sonja would spend time talking and watching basketball with mom. The staff genuinely cared about her and knew all our names from mom. Believe me, she would have let us know if there was a problem. Not being able to physically be there due to COVID was very hard but knowing from her (laughing and smiling) with the staff made it so much easier for our family. We were fortunate she was on first floor and was able to visit outside her window. We definitely would recommend Cadia Pike Creek and grateful we were able to have mom in there and closer to our family.

Cadia healthcare rehabilitation consistently made sure during my stay that I was comfortable. They always went above and beyond to provide excellent through care while I recovered. First lest discuss food services! I have had the pleasure of eating at several 5 star and 1 star restaurants! Trust me, I know okay, alright, and wow! First meal what’s this? I could taste every seasoning used and OMG may I please meet the chef? As a case and point I was feeling sad and in pain everyday and the last thing I wanted to was eat. Lunch time came around so quickly I was determined not to give my meal a try. To my astonishment I opened the serving dome and the presentation and smells were literally waltzing and complimenting one another on a plain white luncheon plate. Furthermore, after one bite of the Brussel sprouts they burst into such a wonderful and flawless example of fine dinning. All I can say is way to go chef and staff! The nurses aids always demonstrated skill, knowledge and compassion when attending to my needs. One particular aid stands out to me because I look forward daily to her smile and personal attention that she provided. She showed a keen eye to attention for detail and to me that become invaluable and ultimately impacted my overall expectation of patient aid care. Last but certainly not lease, Cadia nursing staff can not be left out. They proved to be an important part of my recovery. They too displayed skill, knowledge, consistency and understanding of my discomfort. Call bells were not the only reason for getting attention for my needs or questions, they would periodically come by and check on me. I could tell they’re ultimately goal was for me to return home to my family safe and well. If I should ever need to come back or refer, Cadia Pike Creek would be the rehabilitation center I would chose (but I hope not lol) WAY TO GO!!

My mother, Susan Woodall was admitted on Christmas Eve 2019 and discharged May 2020. There were three trips to Christiana Care during that time but upon discharge, she returned to Cadia. Throughout this long stay there were a few specific individuals that truly went above and beyond. I would like to formally recognize Jennifer Talley RN/Nurse Supervisor, Marlise CNA, Michele RN, and Louisa RN. I witnessed first hand their kindness, compassion, patience, professionalism, and genuine care for my mom. Especially, when the covid restrictions went into effect and we were unable to visit. She would comment to me on the phone just how lovely Marlise, Michele, and Louisa were being. That was SO comforting to know considering how much we missed being able to be with her on the daily. It meant so much to know that these three special individuals were making a difference and taking such good care of her. My wish is that your administration will recognize these three and award them the accolades they so strongly deserve. They are an asset to you and the patients they care for. Warm Regards, Katie Nagle

I was so glad when my daughter insisted that I come to the Cadia Rehabilitation Center. The Administration welcomed me with open arms. I came in broken scared and afraid. The staff made me feel at home. The nurses took excellent care of me and treated me with respect. Nursing assistants was always there for me and they made me feel special. Each and everyone of the Therapy Team was the best at what they do. They listen to me moan and groan and sometimes cry but everybody pushed me to be my best, kept me motivated and cheered me on. I couldn't ask for better team to help me learn how to walk again. I had a wonderful experience. Ella O. Sampson

I was here for about two weeks. I found the staff very responsive to my needs. The nurses, aides, dietitian, head chef, office staff......all worked hard and quickly to make me well. The physical therapists were wonderful and pushed me to make progress each and every session. I took advantage of your "living room" and first floor patio to greet visitors. When I requested a room change, I got it. When I requested an air bed, I got it. When I needed some dietary changes, they were met. Thank you for making my stay at Cadia comfortable and successful.

I have been at Cadi for 2 weeks for rehabilitation. I have received rehabilitation services in many settings and facilities in the past. Cadia rehabilitation services have been the most beneficial. I can in walking 100 feet with a walker. I’m leaving waking 500 feet with a cane. The nursing care has been great. I’m leaving with a good understanding of all my medications. The food has been very good and plentiful. I’ve enjoyed my meals with other patients. Courtney Porstman

The care at Cadia, Pike Creek, Wilminton, De. is EXCELLENT!! My Mom recently spent 5 weeks recovering from pulmonary edema due to congestive heart failure here. The staff was amazing; the occupational and physical therapists are extremely competent and worked with Mom daily to strengthen and encourage her. The dietician was amazing, highly competent, very attentive and the food was excellent! Physicians and nursing staff were highly qualified and closely monitered my Mom’s healing and progress on a daily basis. The activities provided for the patients was fun and stimulating ...Mom actually felt quite spoiled there with the care she received and was sad to leave. Do not hesitate to have your loved one stay here if the need arises, it is an outstanding facility with an extremely competent and caring staff!

My mother was at Cadia for about 3 months recuperating from a broken femur bone. 'MC' (the director) and her staff were amazing and not only took great care of my mom but made my mom feel comfortable and at home. I actually think my mom was sad when she was discharged and it was time to leave Cadia. The physical therapy team were totally amazing and were able to get my mom walking again, which I never thought would happen! Thank you Chris, Lisa and the entire PT team! When it came time to transfer mom to a new assisted living Ray, the social worker was great and made the transfer very easy. I would highly recommend Cadia in Pike Creek to anyone! This facility is very clean and the staff have a great morale and obviously care about their patients! Thank you Cadia @ Pike Creek!!

My wife came here three days ago after knee replacement surgery at Christiana for physical therapy. My experience so far has been excellent with the therapists and the love with which they do therapy. Thus, for rehabilitation service it is very good because their physical and occupational therapists are very good. With respect to nursing and food services I have not much to say. As a vegetarian who does not even eggs fish or chicken the kitchen is totally foxed. In spite of explaining her vegetarianism to their director of food service she ends up getting scrambled eggs, omelettes and turkey on plates which she returns. When she rings for a nurse or an aide she gets her sooner or later. Some are very good and go out of their way to be helpful. One other observation: no nurse or aid or pt person says this is not my job, someone else will do that. Everyone tries to do whatever they see need for. They are trying their best with limited staff. They need a good industrial engineer to make them more efficient in various activities including computer communication within the organization. This 9
