My mom who has dementia was in another facility that I wanted to get her out of. Brookdale Dover was recommended and I’m so glad I looked into them. I dealt with Geneveve and let me say, I couldn’t be happier!! EVERYONE is kind. You can tell they are there for the right reasons. My mom is taken such good care of and we are all treated as family. It’s so clean too!! The nursing staff is AMAZING. I can’t think of one negative thing. I know I found the right place for my mom!

My father was in Brookdale for almost 2 years. My entire experience with the staff and administration was caring and supportive from the start. Genevieve made it possible to be able to place my father there by giving me the proper information and advice. Cheryl made sure his stay was organized and communicated with the staff to reassure my father had what he needed. Lisa was diligent about the nursing care he needed and communicated a plan of strategy that was beneficial for my father. Hope explained the financial end throughly and worked through some tedious tasks that involved a lot of back and forth communication and paperwork.Larry, Jess, Susan are super friendly and really make it feel like a family. The second you walk through the doors you are encountering individuals that are kind, loving and professional.

Finding Brookdale was a true God's send. (It's not like you can visit and evaluate facilities when you're still caring for your loved one. After all, they might not have an opening when you finally need it.) Anyway, Brookdale should be on the top of your list for evaluation. The Director runs a well-oiled machine with meetings daily to keep everyone updated on all that's happening. The staff knows it and, I believe, respects her for that. You have to know who will respond to your emails or calls, and if they don't respond, let Cheryl know and she'll get the answer you need. I have the utmost respect for all who serviced my husband, especially with his ALZ/dementia and in times of Covid. It's a blessing to have the dedicated staff that they do. As others have said, the positivity can be reflected by the varying staff levels at Brookdale. I am grateful for their service and caring nuturing provided to their residents.

The perfect place for mom. If you are looking for a compassionate, caring, knowledgeable senior living facility, for a loved one like our 993 year old mom this is the perfect place. Medication management is carefully personalized. Food preferences for the resident are detailed. You even get to pick your favorite color for you room. Activities include bingo, karaoke, and a walking club which our mom enjoys are offered as well as others. The staff is so friendly and very helpful to all residents. The executive director and sales manager are extremely knowledgeable and help walk you through the paperwork which can be overwhelming and not afraid to get their hands dirty by mingling with the residents. There is much laughter and friendly conversation amongst this family oriented facility. We are very happy with our choice for our mom.

My Dad has been a resident for two and a half years. There's a family atmosphere here. I have never seen an unhappy employee here. They are all genuinely happy to be at Brookdale and treat residents as if they are family. They go above and beyond in every area: wonderful meals, a variety of activities, personal care, room cleaning, laundry, outings and more. The staff always answers my calls and respond to my emails. Recently one of the nurses, Kristen, learned how to play golf. She and other staff took my Dad and 2 other residents to a local golf course. A dream come true for my Dad! Thank you to all of the staff!! I highly recommend Brookdale Dover for anyone considering assisted living.

I cant say enough good about the executive director Cheryl Hollis, and her team. They repeatedly go over and above the call of duty for the residents there. One of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make was moving my dad out of the home he had been in for nearly 60 years. They helped us through every step of the transition and made him feel at home. I would recommend this place to anyone needing a caring facility for their loved one.

Our family moved our Mom into Brookdale Assisted Living in Dover, DE, a little over 2 years ago. We chose Brookdale over other similar facilities because of the friendliness of the staff and lower cost. We do not regret our decision. The care she received during the time she was there (she passed away from natural causes in October) was outstanding. The caregivers were wonderful! They always showed a genuine interest in our Moms health and welfare. Until her health started to fail, she thrived while she was there. Thank you, Brookdale, for caring so lovingly for our Mom!

My Dad has been at Brookdale since 2014. As a family, we have weathered the storms and I can honestly say that I am truly pleased and appreciative of the care that he is receiving now. Particularly during this pandemic, Im grateful for the continued attention to the best interests of all of the residents, while at the same time creating opportunities for family members to stay connected. Everyone closely connected to my Dads care has been AWESOME and I cant thank you enough!!

Dreaded putting my father in an assisted living facility. We decided to try Brookdale and have recieved nothing but a wonderful experience. They have worked with us every step of the way. Every representative of Brookdale from the top down to the maintenance man are extremely professional. They have made this difficult decision a pure blessing. I have recently had to move my grandmother into Brookdale Dover. It has been an extremely easy adjustment for both of us. Everyone that I have been in contact with has been so helpful. They are quick to answer any questions that I have had. There is always someone available to handle anything that we have needed taken care of. Even with they crazy rules right now due to Covid-19 I could not be happier that we choose this facility as her new home. Special shout out to Cheryl and Genevieve for all that you two have done to make this easy on us.

I have been at this senior living facility , and I must say that the staff at Brookdale Dover treat the clienta there very nice , also they have live entertainment as well, and church service for those that live there so they can worship GOD, and the food there is very good and delicious for the soul, I would recommend this place for any of love ones

Jason Smith brought his mother to Brookdale in November 2019. The staff is awesome and the food is great. Brookdale keep us informed about both Dolores and the activities at the facility. During the pandemic, they have been awesome and no resident has contracted COVID-19. We are very pleased and she loves everyone there!

My father has been a resident since July 2018 and they are great. The staff takes great care of him and they stay in contact with me. During the pandemic the safety of the residents and staff were paramount. The communicated with me and did all they could to remain COVID free. They are the best in Dover.

The administrative staff does not respond to emails or return phone calls. A lightbulb was burned out in the apartment and requested that it be changed 2 weeks before move-in. Here it is almost 12 weeks later and the light has not been replaced. Also requested that brighter bulbs be installed before move-in, that still has not been accomplished, even after requesting 3 times. I keep being told, we have to order them. How long does it take to order light bulbs? Residents on diabetic diets prescribed by physicians are served carb loaded meals and beverages. Edit to 4 Stars: Contacted by Operations Manager and issues were resolved within 2 days.

I had recently taken a tour of this community for my mother and I have no complaints of how things had went. The staff where really nice and made sure to answer any questions I had for them in detail. I liked that they had a lot of variety in there activities as well as an open floor plan that was easy to navigate through. Everything was really great at this facility it was just not the right location for us in the end decision.

I had a nice tour of this community. Everyone was very kind. My tour guide was there ready to give me my tour. She was informative, and answered my questions. The community was nice, and clean from what I saw. The staff I met was kind, and helpful. It was a good experience.

Brookdale Dover was a nice community. Everyone there was friendly and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. It was just a bit too expensive and we chose to not move her in the Dover area.

My mother is doing well at this community. Since her move here everything has worked out very well. This is a nice community, everything is neat and tidy. The staff is wonderful, they are caring for her very well. I know she is safe and in good hands here. I would recommend this community, it is a nice place.
