Reviews Charter Senior Living at Woodbridge
March 2025
My brother just completed a difficult period of hospitalization and rehab. I reached out to A Place for Mom and among their recommendations ws Charter Senior Living of Woodbridge. I drove up a winding friveway through a wooded area to arrive at a beautiful building. Inside I was greeted by Kati who proceeded to gie me a detailed introduction of the services and costs associated with the facility. Kati then took me on a detailed tour and showed me three beautiful room accomodations. I immediately fell in love with this facility. It is clean, bright and immaculate. Great staffing...very attentive. speaking of staffing KellyAnn is a warm and lovely lady who assisted Kati in helping me register my brother. Kati spared no effort in following up on details. She responded quickly to every call and text and was an expert at navigatng the regulations and paperwork required to make the transition from rehab to assisted living. This is a superb team. They strive to ensure the residents are well taken care of and are trnsitioned with professionalism and caring. The fees are quite reasonable in today's market and include EVERYTHING! The social programs are varied too. I happened to walk in on a day when a rock band was playing! CHARTER SENIOR LIVING IS WONDERFUL AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!

My Dad and his wife have been residents for the past year. The adjustment was made easy by the welcoming staff. Hospice entered Dad's stay and Charter Senior Living made it possible for Dad to remain there. He often commented that this was "home" now. His journey ended in February 2024…he was competent but needed much care. His wife needed care and emotional support as well. The staff was extremely attentive to their needs. Thank you for honoring Dad's wishes and continuing to make KC feel like family. Your terms of endearment will be forever etched in my heart. We appreciate all of you,

"Kudos" to the staff at The Linden!! They are a caring and knowledgeable group of dedicated workers. They get the job done as promised.
October 2022
The Linden is a place where one can progress from independent living to memory care with ease. My Mom moved in 7 1/2 years ago to an independent living apartment and after 3 1/2 years transferred to Opal, the memory care unit. The staff there understand her needs well and take very good care of her. She's going strong at age 95!

My father has been at The Linden since August and we could not be happier. The staff is very attentive, responsive, communicative, and pleasant! They truly want their residents to feel at home and take great efforts to foster a wonderful sense of community. As a child, you want to feel you are doing right by your parent and that they're living in an environment where they are happy and given great care, that is certainly the case at The Linden. The Linden is also very clean and inviting, which was important to me when looking at assisted living facilities. One of the things I love most is how the residents all hang out. Every time I visit, there are a ton of people sitting outside chatting. The socialization aspect has been very nice to see and it is nice to know that my father is not alone when I am unable to be there.

My poor wife is in the Memory Care unit at Linden, and I could not be more pleased with the care she is receiving. Michelle Guarnieri is not just a perfect angel; she is the seraph cheerfully and thoughtfully guiding a whole host of angels in their care for each resident's needs and emotions. All too often, a person with such heavy responsibilities is totally taken up with the enforcement of rules and with physical safety issues. But Michelle treats rules and safety regulations not as the end-all but as the baseline on which she builds a most caring, cheerful home-like place to live.

My aunt went to a few memory care facilities and none were like this. The staff is incredible! She’s made strides, physically and emotionally ever since she moved to the Linden. Highly recommend!

I have visited this community for the wonderful public events they hold such as carnivals and Easter egg hunts. The facility and grounds are beautiful. Grounds are nicely landscaped and facility is clean. Staff are always so friendly and the residents of the facility have such positive things to share.

My grandmother has lived here for 6 years in the dementia assisted living area. Her quality of care which matters to me most, is better than I think anyone could give at home. No one is a worker. Everyone is FAMILY. The recreation is outstanding and the new ownership is even better. That actually care about what we have to say. Please take my word if youre looking. Go down check it out! -Stephanie Grant

Very nice facility and pleasant staff members.

My 61 year old sister needed a secure place to live, but she also loves to run about 3 miles a day. The Linden has supported my sister's passion for running by having staff who run join her. The staff, and especially the nurses, have gladly worked with my sister's idiosyncrasies and limited speech and comprehension. My sister is happy and so are we!

The level of engagement between the staff and the residents creates an active, caring, family oriented environment that is noticeable the minute you walk thru the doors of the Memory Care Unit at Linden at Woodbridge

The Linden is a beautiful assisted living community! They are conveniently located right on Amity Rd and I've enjoyed visiting the residents and staff!

Poor excuse of an assisted living facility. I would leave a zero if I could. Unskilled and uncaring staff. They do not care about residents here only about raising your bill continuously to make money. If your family member is hospitalized and never receives the care services you will not be refunded either. Ambulances are there numerous times per week. There are no special diets for residents but, they will not tell you they only have regular and pureed food. The so-called on call evening nurse will never come on site . Standby shower assistance is extra yet the aide will leave your family member alone in the shower, nice fall risk. Blood pressures are not monitored correctly and you will not know anything is wrong until your family member winds up in the ER. Unsanitary, gloves are not always used C-diff infection picked up. You will get a break on the apartment rent with a move in but, a month later the bill will be raised for one reason or another. I heard my family member be talked to and reprimanded with a raised voice like a child. When you ring your pendant to many times the staff will let you sit there 45 minutes to more than an hour. I have timed this. They lie through their teeth and can never get their stories straight always saying they will get back to you with an answer and never do. Activities are minimal the same couple things every week, residents look miserable. They also follow very low State minimum guidelines. My list can go on. Do your research check the BBB and Consumer Affairs website along with numerous lawsuits filed against this organization.

I am beyond grateful for the kind and caring staff. Mom has Alzheimers and they are patient and helpful. It is incredibly difficult to have moved mom from home to a facility home but I feel reassured that she is safe and well taken care of.
