I am honored to be a part of this amazing team. Our caregivers are so knowledgeable about each individual person, ensuring their personal preferences and needs are addressed. The nurses address any chronic and acute issues, while being nurturing and understanding of their concerns and fears. Dementia can be very scary, and our staff is very flexible with the changes on a day to day basis. Our dietary staff take great pride in serving the best food, plated so it is also a feast for the eyes. Life enrichment engages every resident on their level, encouraging maximum cognitive stimulation and participation. Facility management/maintenance is as aware of each individual resident as well, and is engaged with them, and knows them personally. Our senior advisors are interactive with our residents, participating in activities and helping families with questions and concerns. The management team is always asking how we can do better, and never advertise “good enough”. We are truly a family, and always support each other, from families, residents to our coworkers.

I have been attending the caregiver support groups hosted by Bridges by EPOCH at Norwalk for the past 6 months and can honestly say they have saved my life. From day one, Alecia Seaver, the moderator and other caregiver participants made me feel like I was part of their family. In fact we all wish we could gather together more than once a month because we look forward to getting together. Everyone shares their issues, asks for advice and learns from each other. I went for a tour of the Bridges by EPOCH facility in Norwalk, CT and was so impressed with the cleanliness, amenities, activities and experienced staff. I highly recommend other caregivers to join our support group and take a tour of the facility. I promise you won't be disappointed, only appreciative.

I've had experience with Bridges since it opened a few years ago. It is a warm, comfortable place for people with significant cognitive issues. Epoch has a good reputation so I would have no issue recommending people check it out. And the food is actually really good; I've eaten in the community with my clients unannounced and Bridges delivers the quality of food promised during discovery.

With the efficient and caring staff at Bridges-Norwalk, my clients, a husband and wife, enjoyed the smoothest transition to facility living that I have seen in my ten years as an elder care specialist. The Bridges staff worked tirelessly and quickly to set up my clients’ room to make it as comfortable and welcoming as possible. When my clients arrived, Addie Ricci, the director, spent the entire afternoon with them to make them feel at home. My clients have moved nearly seamlessly into their new life at Bridges-Norwalk. I continue to be impressed with the exceptional care my clients are receiving.

Bridges is the highest regarded assisted living in Norwalk for your loved one with memory concerns. The enhanced care of the well educated staff is exemplary! The family community atmosphere engages all residents and promotes a quality of life. The community is comforting and promotes engagement amongst residents. Dining and menus are 5 star restaurant grade. I highly recommend this community.

Moving my mom to an assisted living facility was without a doubt the most stressful and worrisome time of my life. Now 89 and after living almost her entire adult life in the same house, this move was obviously very upsetting to my mom as well. I researched several facilities in the Norwalk, Darien area and finally chose Bridges. The decision was originally based mainly on the physical appearance of the residents and the building itself. It is a beautiful place. But how do you really know what goes on once your loved one is living there? That was my biggest concern. My fears and concern were soon answered. We had many family members that were attempting to interfere with my moms well being and it quickly escalated to a court matter. Stress level went through the roof. I write this review today knowing 100% that if it was not for the caring staff and management, this would have ended very badly. I cannot speak highly enough of Addie, the general manager. She is a rock but also one of the most caring people I have ever met. Her leadership saved the day. Now six months later my mom has slowly begun to make Bridges her new home. The staff is fantastic. Very caring people. I would recommend Bridges without hesitation to anyone looking for a memory care facility.

My words can not do justices to the quality of attention the Bridges gives to each of their residences . Their staff are well knowledge in their field and extremely friendly and fun and welcoming and go above and beyond 100% of the time. They create an environment that is above all. If you havent been in a Bridges by Epoch, you should.

I have worked closely with this assisted living facility in a business capacity for quite some time now. Attention to detail is paramount in providing optimal care for residents with Dementia. Bridges by EPOCH exceeds this with flying colors. They provide countless activities to improve the body, mind and soul. They also have individualized care within a safe and controlled environment. It would be a shame to pass this building up when looking for a new home for your loved ones!!

The Norwalk Bridges is warm and welcoming to both residents and family members! What I appreciate most about Bridges is the respect given to residents from all staff members. Residents are treated with dignity regardless of their current condition.I enjoy participating in activities with mom and am always welcomed whenever I show up. I have learned so much from the staff about how to interact with my mother as her Dementia progresses. I model approaches from staff members to engage and re-engage mom for more meaningful visits. My mother is so much more than just a resident. When I visit staff members take the time to share how mom is doing today or an activity that she particularly enjoyed; they know her and know how to relate to her as an individual. The director, Addie, is very responsive. If I have an issue, concern, question I email and get a response the same day. I know from experience that issues-concerns I have shared have been addressed. Rather than defending her institution she consistently tries to make it better. From a physical stand point both residents and the facility are kept clean. Furniture is functional and comfortable. There are multiple places to sit and spend time with a loved one.I wish mom did not need Bridges, but I am glad and grateful that she can be there.

I have been at and have seen many senior communities throughout Fairfield County. A nice new building is only as good as the staff, activities, food, and overall attention to resident engagement. Bridges by Epoch at Norwalk seamlessly executes all of the residents and families concerns with top-notch services in all categories. If you or a loved one is thinking about senior community living Bridge by Epoch at Norwalk should be at the top on your list.

Norwalk Bridges give a huge amount of support to the community in terms of information sessions, caregiving support sessions and special events with crafts and food. Having attended information sessions on site, I am impressed with the cleanliness, respect and care-giving by the staff members. It is very encouraging to see how well the facility is run.

Bridges Norwalk has been an excellent resource for the community. They have opened their doors and services to those in need of information and support related to memory loss and care. I have attended for a year the information sessions as as well as webinars to support me in the care of my parents at home. Expressions of caring were also shown in activities that those outside of Bridges could attend. They were enjoyable and appreciated.

My wife was diagnosed with Alzheimers in May of 2014. For the first two years she was living in the house as she normally did, even driving a car for the first year, after which her license was returned to the DMV in exchange for a permit to serve as her main identification. Her next two years was spent at home with me as her sole caregiver. As a caregiver it was beginning to take over my life, even though I was retired. I found that I needed to get additional help in the form of an aide to take care of her from morning until after dinner at night. At the end of 5-1-2 years I discussed the situation with my two sons, one of whom lived about 20 minutes from our home and the second son lived about 1-1-4 hours away. At this time I was very worn out and was sleeping very badly and I had to do something. The aid was keeping her in the home watching TV and taking her to doctors appointments and other personal errands. She was not in touch with her friends and rarely left the house. At this time a good friend of mine, whose wife also had Alzheimers, had just put her in the Bridges by Epoch, an assisted living home which only took in residents with Alzheimers or other cognitive diseases. Before allowing his wife to become a resident at Bridges he made a very careful study of Bridges as well as using specialists who spent time visiting Bridges and giving him a written report of the home. Being very impressed with the report he enrolled his wife in Bridges. He told me that the care was even better than he expectedBridges was built and opened for residents in the middle of 2018. The Residence consists of 4 living areas known as Households. Each household contains apartments, dining areas, TV room and libraries for reading or other quiet activitiesIn addition to normal activities Bridges provides entertainment for the residents such as, Arts and Crafts, music, live singers and many more activities that keeps the residents interested each and every day. There are also trips to local museums, beaches and other interesting things to see outside of Bridges.Bridges is very visitor friendly. Family members and friends are encouraged to visit the residents, whenever they want to come. Visitors are allowed to have meals with the residents in the dining halls during any of the three meals during the dayMy wife was very unsure that she would like going to the Residence. However she adjusted to Bridges and tells me that she loves the place. The residents are very kind to each other. If a resident is having a bad time they come to the resident with warmth which usually changes sadness to happinessCognitive diseases are very difficult for a visitor to see, but they also feel the closeness of the residents to each other. I would recommend Bridges to anyone requiring cognitive care. I would suggest that if you have a family member requiring cognitive care, visit Bridges and get a good feel for the place. The staff is very kind and helpful to the Residents and the physical layout of Bridges is ideal for these types of diseases.
