We moved mom into the Landing in March 2024. She did not want to leave her house but it was time. We had previously toured places and knew the only choice was the Landing. It’s clean, beautiful, the entire staff from top management to the dishwashers are all friendly, thoughtful, and caring. Mom has made a lot of friends and actively participates in the games and even does some fitness classes (she’s 94!). Recently I sent her a Walmart shipment (I am far far away from her) and didn’t think about the Landing closing the doors at 7pm (family can get in with a code and there’s always someone around but the front desk isn’t manned). Walmart came after 7 and left the delivery in the foyer of the building. And I failed to check the photo to see WHERE they delivered. A staff member saw the delivery sitting outside and brought it up to mom - not her job but she just did it. Even offered to put the things away. This is absolutely typical of everyone at the Landing - they just take care of things. Then why not a 5 star rating? Frankly for the price I expect better food. It is just okay to good. Sometimes they nail it with their specials. But serving things like processed cheese I just can’t fathom. We have brought this up and they have meetings with residents and their families (they are VERY open and communicative) but the food remains just average. In every other way they are fantastic. And don’t worry Mom isn’t starving! She always finds something - and they will serve breakfast any time so she can always get something she likes.

My Dad moved into The Landing in early June which was a quick decision on all of our parts after we deemed that he really should have some assistance in life. He was agreeable but difficult. After visiting and getting a tour, we were very impressed. My Dad moved in within the week. Although he was immediately demanding about his belongings and getting his pictures put up, they did not skip a beat. The day after move in, the guys were in his room hanging pictures and family photos under his direction. They couldn’t have been more accommodating or nicer. Pat, Allie and the entire staff were exceptionally helpful, friendly, patient and so nice to deal with, beginning with the logistics of the move to the paperwork that needed filling out to the actual move in day, it was seamless. After moving in they made my Dad feel very welcome which made his transition from living by himself much easier. The Landing is beautifully appointed, very clean, has absolutely no odor (which many do) and appears to have great activities for their residents. The food is also very good which is so important. I would highly recommend The Landing if/when the time comes and it becomes necessary to move into an assisted living facility.

My mom is so very happy at The Landing. The staff are genuinely caring and attentive. Even the contracted service providers have a giving attitude. The activities are varied and the meals are delicious. The hallways and public spaces are immaculate and my mom's apartment is cleaned weekly by a conscientious staffer who does it "mom's way" with a smile on her face. I visited 5 other places and found them dingy, dark and dismissive in comparison to The Landing. Visit and see for yourself.

I had to place my father in a facility that offered a memory care option. The Landing Opal facility has been great. The management team is fantastic, they've assisted me with so many things getting adjusted to having to place my father in this level of care. The staff is amazing, it's not an easy job by any means, they've been great to my father and I appreciate them. I feel I got very lucky finding a place for my father, that is close by and offers the extra level of care he now requires. Thank you to all the staff at the The Landing you're doing a great job.

Internet, wifi and cell phone reception are constant issues at the North Haven location. There is no valid reason for this in 2025. Residents should not experience issues with communicating with their families or accessing the internet. Get it properly fixed once and for all!! Otherwise, a top notch facility. I have a friends living at The Landing of North Haven, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the care and environment they receive. From the moment you walk in, the staff is welcoming, attentive, and truly dedicated to creating a sense of community. I recently joined my friends for breakfast and was very impressed. The dining area was clean and comfortable, and the food was fresh and well-prepared. More importantly, the staff made a real effort to ensure everyone felt included and well taken care of.

Amazing facility and great transition point from community living to assisted living. Staff is warm, supportive and attentive. A perfect place where residents can age in place and thrive. If there’s an issue, staff work their best to resolve. From experience, this setting promotes a very client/family centered approach. I’ve seen and been in other facilities, nothing compares to The Landing with regard to their dining room including a bistro, multitude of activities and leisure points. Gym and Spa on location. It is with great pleasure that I write this review in five-star support of the Landing of North Haven. In 2016 both my Mother-in-law and Dad passed away within a few months of each other leaving their surviving spouses alone in their family homes. Our families witnessed firsthand how much negative effect these losses had on both of them. In 2019, after learning of the opening of the Landing my father-in-law took it upon himself to order an Uber, then traveling with a few friends to see firsthand what the Landing had to offer. Shortly after his visit he called to inform us he was moving there. Nevertheless, we were taken back by this, extremely supportive and happy. Once he became the (6th) resident of the Landing his attitude was entirely different. He was upbeat, made several friends, became involved with all daily activities including making Italian dish suggestions to the restaurant chef, he even became a Landing Ambassador giving tours to potential and new residents. Sadly, he passed in 2020. My Mom joined the Landing family in 2022 and clearly, it changed her life. In previous years she led a very active work and family life along with my dad. After his passing in 2016, as years passed, we noticed a few changes in her daily routine, her activity ambitions were slowing a bit causing her to spend more time at home. Noticing this change I suggested she visit a lifelong friend who resides at the Landing which she did. Within a month, on her own, she made the decision to try it for three months. Now at 90 years young, she involves herself in every activity the Landing has to offer, plays bocci outside (weather permitting) goes shopping and bowling. Not long ago she was named Ambassador giving tours to potential and new residents just as my father-in-law did in 2019 - 2020. I can write a book about how the Landing of North Haven has changed both my father in laws and my mom's life and in addition, our lives as well. We can go to bed at night knowing she's safe, active, nourished and living the best life possible during her last years. In conclusion, in my view, there isn't a better independent assisted living facility that can compare. Over the years I've gotten to know the staff as being professional, dedicated, caring, trustworthy and considered like family, I've witnessed firsthand seeing residents being treated with the highest level of respect.

The Landings of O'Fallon is a wonderful, warm caring place where the staff knows every single person and welcomes them! It has an amazing array of activities that keeps my mom not just busy but mentally, physically, and spiritually active. My mom raves about the food (and the activities)! She has made many new friends in just a few months. The full program of on-site medical exams, hair cutting, manicures, dentist visits, prescription refills, eye and ear exams are such a blessing! I do recommend the Landings to everyone I know who needs a place like this. I'm extremely grateful for the care and activities at the Landings! We just hosted a birthday luncheon at The Landing for our Dad's 98th birthday. Chef Katy was amazing to work with! Her flexibility with menu choices and attention to detail made the process very easy. She even knew what dishes my father might prefer. All we needed to do was invite our guests, bring the cake and bring champagne for the toast! The food was restaurant- quality and the servers were tremendous. It was so nice to be able to invite the other residents Dad's become friendly with to join our family for this special celebration. A special thanks also to Cameron and Susan for their help. Ally and Pat at The Landing were so very accommodating for us as we needed a quick response to move mom into Assisted Living. It turns out after we moved her furniture there we found another facility to meet mom's long term care needs. Ally was very understanding and supportive as we had to quickly move mom from The Landing to another facility. My family very much appreciated the friendly, customer service team at The Landing...including their intern George! We highly recommend The Landing for your Assisted Living needs.

The Landing has been a godsend. The facility is gorgeous but, more importantly, the people are incredible. My siblings and I had to find an assisted living facility for my 85-year old mom after the unexpected and sudden death of my father. We looked at all the facilities in New Haven County and a few in Fairfield County. They were all relatively nice with similar cost structures. After we visited The Landing, there was no other option. This is a community of happy and connected residents and a committed and caring staff. Donna, Pasquale, Ally, Ashley, Broc, Stacey and Whitney have been incredible. Giving us sound advice as to how to help mom acclimate, being understanding of her reluctance to move...their whole staff has welcomed in our family and made this move possible during an otherwise very difficult time. I don't think we could have made a better choice for our mom to start in a new home after a few decades with our dad in their house where we were raised. I can't recommend these folks and this facility any higher.

My parents have lived at The Landing for almost a year. One of the aspects that we love most as a family are the holiday events. The Head Chef, Katie and the Dining Room Manager, Heather go above and beyond when hosting holiday and family events. In February, we celebrated my Dad's 80th birthday and they encouraged us to use the Bistro and made sure we had everything we needed. This past Sunday, we celebrated Easter as a family for the first time since 2019 and it was wonderful. The food was excellent and we were able to sit together at one big table and enjoy each other's company rather than worry about serving and hosting. The kids had a great time meeting the Easter Bunny and going on an egg hunt. Everyone is so nice and welcoming, it really makes the holidays fun again!! This is an added bonus we did not expect when making the decision to move my parents into Assisted Living and we are so grateful!

Choosing a facility for your loved one is a very complicated decision, especially if the family is out of state. Was going to relocate my family member, however after a tour of the facility and my family member spending time in the Respite Care at the Landing it was an easy decision. Definitely bar none a cut above other facilities by comparison within the area as well as out of state. The staff is very conscientious with each resident , and always follow through with whatever request is needed in a very timely fashion. Donna and her staff are outstanding in working with the family and meeting our needs. From the Front desk to the Aides and Directors the staff is pleasant and so professional. Facility Super Clean and lovely environment. Feel very safe secure with my family member there , plus my family member is living her best life!

My family chose The Landing due to the professionalism and friendliness of the entire staff. The Landing was proactive when Covid-19 hit the state; we knew our mom was safe and well-cared. The residents are welcoming and friendly and have helped to make the transition a very easy one. I would highly recommend The Landing. Take a tour of the facility; you will see how wonderful it is.
