Maplewood at Stony Hill has been a good fit for mom with their focus on memory care. Specifically the staff is patient and knowledgeable in dealing with memory issues and the space is beautiful and a manageable size. Additionally it has a nice outdoor space the residents can enjoy and a good layout for the rooms. Overall mom's reaction has been that the location is comfortable, she enjoys the food and with time she has been increasing her engagement in the daily activities. She appreciates the one on one attention from nursing, the aids and activities staff. During the transition, the Maplewood team fully engaged on topics that were important to us and made the initial move as easy as we could expect. These ranged from larger medical transition needs, to supplying furniture so the initial move was easier, to little things to help ease mom's transition. As expected with any move of this magnitude, there are learnings on how to work with the team. The team is busy, but there have been a couple individuals who have been very helpful to get us information or to make things happen as needed. Overall we have been very happy with the choice.

Five Stars is not enough of a rating for me to express my gratitude to ALL that has been a part of my Mom’s and my journey here at Maplewood Stony Hill since October 2018. As for many of us having to experience your loved one going through the stages of Dementia it is so difficult to put into words the emotions of this disease. Maplewood Stony Hill has helped guide me through every aspect and every emotion these past almost 4 years and constantly reassuring me that I made the right decision to have brought my Mom to her new Home, and what I call “angels” taking care of her every need!!! The transition of a spouse to a memory care facility is one of the most wrenching and emotional experiences in life. I cannot say enough positive things about Maplewood at Stony Hill. Would not recommend Maplewood if you care about your love one. The communication between Maplewood is basically non exciting. Once the short honeymoon is over make sure you check on your loved one all the time. You will not be told about any problems.

As a frequent vendor for years as Maplewood Stony Hill, I can attest to the excellent quality of care residents receive. What makes this community unique is the sole focus on providing varying levels of care, each one uniquely appropriate for those experiencing memory loss. Residents can transition between the floors as their condition progresses or improves without having to move to another community. I find the staff to be extremely dedicated to the well-being of the residents. Each time Ive been on-site, I notice a very familiar vibe. Residents and staff have truly touching relationships and I have observed genuine respect from both for one another. The Memory Care Director, Christine is creative, compassionate and dedicated. I believe residents enjoy both the indoor and outdoor spaces and know the programming is customized for residents attention levels and quite robust. Finally, the cuisine having eaten there several times is wonderful! If youre searching for a place you can feel comfortable transitioning a friend or family member too, I highly recommend Maplewood Stony Hill!

My experience with Maplewood began in January 2017. My mothers dementia had progressed and we were no longer able to care for her. We made the difficult decision to move her to a facility and chose Maplewood Stony Hill, specifically because of the concentration on memory care. From day one, the management and staff were incredibly helpful getting my mother to settle comfortably into her new living environment. The facility is pristine and decorated to feel just like home, with comfortable living spaces and detailed appointments specific for memory care residents. Everyone was attentive to moms needs and personality and made me feel comfortable that she was in good hands, especially when I could not be there for her. In 2018, after my mom had passed away, I decided to join the team at Maplewood as an employee. The interactions I had with staff and management, while mom was in the facility, piqued my interest into working with individuals suffering from dementia. I have learned so much, and continue to learn, about the profession of compassionately caring for the increasing number of individuals suffering from dementia. The best part of the job, is any interaction with family and residents. I highly recommend Maplewood Stony Hill for a caring facility for your loved one or as place to work.

I have been part of the Maplewood family for over 5 years. I was lucky enough to be able to start my professional career at Maplewood at Stony Hill right after graduating with my Masters in Occupational Therapy. I was able seamlessly combine my OT background into my work in the community. Since working with Maplewood I have been afforded may professional opportunities like attending yearly conferences, earning my Dementia Practitioner certification, and being able to present at different events. Within my time with Maplewood Senior Living I have grown from Lifestyle Coordinator, Lifestyle Director, and now Memory Care Director for Stony Hill. Stony Hill creates an comfortable environment for our residents to be social in programming while creating an environment that benefits the residents evolving needs. My mom has sever Alzheimers finding a place for her was difficult. I reviewed all the local memory care facilities and Mapkewood was far superior than all other around the area. My mom has been a resident of Maplewood at stony hill for over a year. I could not be happier. The level of care is as good as it gets. I am kept in the loop at all times. Communication is very good the atmosphere and cleanliness is outstanding. It is a little pricey however for the the level of care that she receives I could not put a price on.

My mom became a resident about 5 months after she was unable to remain in her home due to her dementia progression. Being someone in health care for many years, this was one of the most difficult decisions our family had to make. We wanted my mom to age in place at her home that she has been in for over 56 years but we found it to be impossible as she was forgetting where she was and wanted to leave. We made the difficult decision to place her at Maplewood Stony Hill and it was the best decision we made in a difficult situation. The staff particularly the DON,ADON and Activities Director are angels in disguise. They are compassionate and kind. Giving of themselves every day. Not only do they take care of my mom but they take care of me by calling to update me on how she is doing since I live out of state. The entire staff has ben helpful and kind to all of us and we are truly blessed that there is a place like this available so close to my siblings and my father for my mom to live out her remaining years. Alzheimers is devastating to the person who has it but even more so to the family that is watching it happen to their loved one. I can only hope that in my lifetime, there is a cure but in the meantime; Thank you Maplewood for being there for all your consumers and their families. We appreciate you.

Maplewood at Stony hill has been wonderful for my mom as well as for myself. From the beginning the entire staff embraced her and have been so supportive. I moved my mom here from out of state to be closer to me after my dad's passing and the staff knew how difficult this move was for her. Everyone immediately made her feel comfortable and safe. The director of nursing as well as the nursing staff have been great, responding quickly to any medical needs. Maplewood has been a wonderful safe and caring environment for my mom which has given me a great sense of peace and comfort.
